Casey, thank you for not showing the accident. After 30years in law enforcement, I can guarantee it’s likely to be some family’s worst day of their life. Showing some class instead of views. Nothing but respect.
I'm always watching and listening to Casey's videos, gathering little tidbits and nuggets that come in handy later. His talking about getting in the gate: We were all taught to be nice, polite, and patient. But some people didn't get that lesson apparently. Becoming the problem when something important/quickly needs done is very good advice! You don't have to like it but when time, money and equipment is involved you do what it takes. Casey hangs with the best folks, it's always a pleasure seeing them in his videos. Sorry Jeremy's weekend didn't go as planned, but Casey helped him out. That's when you find out who your friends are, you're truly blessed if you have friends like Casey. Stay safe and GOD bless
I grew up in a house trailer business. My dad instructed me to always place the spare tire in the traffic lane behind the trailer before I started cracking the lugs. He said people will run over the reflectors, flares, and you but, never run over a wheel and tire.
In emergency services we are taught to park diagonally when possible, people recognize a car isn't moving if they can see the broad side of it in an area where it shouldn't be faster than they do if its inline.
One thing I love about you Casey is that you understand the principals of never underestimating the predictability of stupidity. This allows you to keep yourself as safe as possible in logically creative ways. Keep on staying alive. I'm always here for it!!
I've had three vacations end on the back of a tow truck. BTW, AAA wants an exorbitant amount of money to add trailer coverage to your account, and doesn't even bother to send a truck with a tow hitch to tow it with you. Twice they wanted me to leave an off-road trailer unsecure on the side of a road. That thing would be gone in 30 minutes with no chance of recovery.
I like the comments about why you park to connect like you do - one big factor is that facing the wrong way, you break the "normal" pattern we are all used to, so our minds catch it a little bit easier and hopefully makes traffic more aware. Forcing them to slow down to go around is a good thing in your situations!!
Parking in the gate is so true. I was delivering brick to a place and they would take one pallet and then load 3 customers, 1 pallet off and another 3 customers. I got fed up so i pulled right between the gate making it so their customers would have to back up to get out. I was unloaded in 5 minutes after that
HEY, I OWN FORDS..!!! And I'm happy to say that I'm in the " FREQUENT TOW CLUB ".. My next tow is FREE... Support your local tow truck company... OWN a ford...!!!! Just kidding, I've only been towed 2 times in 37 years of driving
I love to NOT see an accident where harm is involved. If it's just an adventurous story because everyone is okay, then hey, by all means gimme all the dramatics, but when it's for real, no thank you. Big kudos for the respectful way you dealt with this. Can't be nice to see for you either. LOVED the views. I'm begging right here for more of that. Just... looking out the window coming along on the drive is quite relaxing and wonderful to watch. I don't get to go anywhere, but online, (thank goodness for the world wide web!) so every time you film those views, I feel like a kid who gets presents 🥰besides already enjoying the videos. But you sure live near some awesome views. (I live in the Netherlands, pretty in it's own way, but mountains you won't see here!)
Great reasons to park in oncoming lane! In addition, another safety protocol would be to immediately put your wireless light bar on the back of the trailer to make drivers more aware with flashers.
I am 77 years old and have had 14 Ford trucks and one Dodge Ram. I currently drive a 2018 Ford F-150 Diesel 3.0 truck. If I buy another truck it will be a Ford. Several of my Fords had over 250,000 miles and have never had reason to complain about any of my trucks. My 3.0 diesel has never let me down as I drove over 60,000 miles each year driving over many states to cell phone towers. I am a believer In Fords which has sold more trucks than any other for a number of years.
People don't use their parking brakes regularly. They generally must be used regularly in order to maintain adjustment. Good call to use gearing to your advantage, moving or not.
Casey, great explanation as to why certain trucks are better than others as for particular jobs. Appreciate your explanation of all the logic. PS - epic cookout using trailer!
It seems that no matter where headed the scenery is just brwath taking u live in a beautiful spot in the USA thanx for sharing your love of helping out friends
So wise , Thank you. Another Fine example of why Casey has so much Fine equipment , the experience and Knowledge to make it all work. Not to mention he is a good friend

I appreciate the person that you are more and more each time i see your videos. You are kind and considerate of others. I understand why people want to tie up your business line to chat with you. You are a good person and your viewers consider you family. I know i do.
I’m a gasoline tech and have only worked on gasoline my whole life. I have about 30 years experience. So my point is is I like the diesel truck and the camper. However, I’m worried about getting a diesel because I don’t work on them. All my buddies that are a mechanics tell me that it’s easy. I would figure it out fast. For me to have a diesel I think it has to be worth it because they are so much more expensive to buy and maintain. In my mind, the diesel fuel mileage doesn’t make up for the extended cost unless you drive the truck every day. I do a lot of miles so I have an every day car. Great video and I’m a new subscriber. That was nice of you. what you did for Grumpy❤ I always hear people say when I get rich or if I was rich, I would do this or that for people. Obviously you’re not rich and you work hard. Casey you drove literally by my place on 62 in Trail. Another non boring video. I didn't hear about the accident even still. Was going up the hill after lost creek. Any ways another good video thx Casey.
Casey tell your friend to get some solid rubber chocks, those plastic ones will NOT stop a trailer that size, I've got one probably 4k pounds lighter and it will absolutely crush them and roll over them. The only reason I even kept mine was the help keep the uphill wheels from rolling a bit which helps with interior shaking, but the downhill side always gets the solid rubber ones now after i almost lost my trailer into a creek (luckily it stopped on the cement stop curb at the back of the site!)
I stopped watching your video at this point because I knew what was going to happen. Then after all my chores it popped up first so I will finish it. You’re the only one I still really watch because of who you are. Keep up the good that you do.

Nice job. You make it look easy. Years of experience are impossible to fake. Having the right gear does help some. Driving through such beautiful country is a bonus.
