About three days ago, I was in Hurricane and met Matt at his shop and bought some shirts. Super nice guy. I told my wife my most important goal while in the area was to NOT get our Jeep stuck anywhere and end up in a video. So far, mission accomplished...
I did my first kinetic pull today, pulling a sprinter van out of the sand. Many thanks to Matt and the crew for sharing their knowledge through this channel! I wouldn't have known about Yankum ropes, soft shackles, etc. I'm not in the business but live remote and it was very rewarding being able to help a family out.
Right on! At least once a winter when plowing snow I accidentally run too far up a 6ft snow bank and bury my half ton Chevy. Normally I have to go get my backhoe to pull it out. Last time it happened one pop with a kinetic 7/8 rope hooked my other pickup popped it right out. Now I cruise in the winter with a kinetic rope in my Dodge Grand Caravan waiting to embarrass a 4×4 thats slid off the road.
“You live and learn. Sometimes you do more living than learning. That’s what I learned, when I was living.” I’ll be sure to give you credit for this wisdom, Matt.
Would love to see you do a video completely about Ed and his life story. I reckon he has a few stories to tell. We know a little about him, but we would love to hear more. A true Gentleman.
Love seeing Ed out and enjoying himself! Peanut is such a lover, smooches for everyone. "It takes a lot of grooming to look that beautiful", it must be Matt is talking about himself!
LOWER 48 : Matt, most truck drivers will tell you that the lower 48 is a saying that means the entire USA excluding Alaska & Hawaii. The farmers from the Midwest had their own saying: of the upper 40. Didn't matter where they were actually plowing their fields. It was just conversation.
@DreJr You don't see all the sand under the car. Also these new cars have all kinds of traction control technology that will help them get stuck on wet grass.
That porta-potty has been leaking a long time to saturate the ground like that! 😁 Also, "Jamie, have him steer.".... Jamie to customer, "You need to steer towards the road." ....... customer keeps wheels dead straight..... I can see why they normally drive the customer's cars until they are "out of harms way." They have no clue what to do (which is likely why they had to call Matt in the first place).
Thanks to the editors for what you do. Changing shots to the beat of the music & using the Banana to pull the next recovery across the screen makes the experience 111% more interesting for some of us..

Everyone who pulls a trailer needs to see that video of the toy car pulling a trailer on the treadmill. They have the weight loaded towards the rear and with a small tap, the car starts fishtailing. When the weight is more towards the tongue, it self-corrects
Nice video and great work guys. I’m looking at putting a CB radio in my truck. I’m looking for a good CB radio antenna and I would like to keep it as low profile as possible but still work good for range. Do you have any good recommendations?
Thats not buried in mud, thats just getting the tires dirty. Buried in mud is when you can reach out the drivers window and poke your finger into the mud. Love that red clay goop.
REALLY stuck is when you can reach out the sun roof and poke your finger in the mud... ;) I've seen guys with a lifted full-size Blazer back in the 1970s who had mud over the top of their hood and they were wading through it to get to the winch cable... I was on a motorcycle, so I had the option of going through the trees where there was somewhat solid ground instead of going through the mud hole... I suspect that was a "hold my beer" moment...
My Dad used to eat me alive for pulling things out from the winch like that. even tho this was hardly any weight from that Mazda so no big deal. I was pulling out f150s at 16 and didn’t know any better 😂 Also Iv been waiting to hear about some flash flooding recovery’s. Funny you mention Black Ridge and the guardrail. When I went through St George on i15, I remember thinking to myself "That guardrail looks like it's been replaced a few times." sure enough, that explains it. St. George Utah, not far from Hurricane, is forecast to be 110 to 115 F later this week. Good luck with that Matt and crew.

"Without spinning!" And then proceeds to spin the whole way up the hill😅😂
You twit, the “no spinning” was direction given to the jeep driver, who did not spin.
I knew as soon as that shirtless wonder opened his mouth that he was indeed going to spin that sucker the whole way up.
My thoughts exactly.
Nah that's your typical assisted dust storm to help push the vehicle up the mountain. It's a random weather phenomenon.
