    • @Blingionaire

      Thank you! Use E6000 glue. It dries clear & doesn't turn yellowish. Other glues like Gemtac will turn yellow over time.

      @@Blingionaire funny, that's what I used. That was the second shoe I had ever done. One turned yellow and other didn't. I've since switched to the Gorilla Glue. I've only been doing shoes since August. The young lady was so bummed out that she can't wear them for the summer now. She only got to wear them for her wedding. Thanks so much.

    Does that glue dry and hold better than e6000 and what kind you use

    • @Blingionaire
      @Blingionaire  5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Hi I use both GemTac & E6000 permanent bond glues. Here is the difference.
      GEMTAC is a permanent glue that bonds embellishments, such as gems, sequins, glitter, rhinestones and more. It can be used on fabrics, glass, vinyl, metal and patent leather. It dries crystal clear and is washable, non-toxic and non-flammable.
      E6000 has exceptional adhesion to wood, metal, glass, fiberglass, ceramics, masonry and concrete. It also adheres strongly to leather, rubber, vinyl and many plastics. It is toxic.
      So basically they both do the job for converse sneakers. But I've started using E6000 more because overtime (several months later) once dried I've noticed Gemtac glue will have a yellowish tent it the glue is exposed & visible.
      Hope this helps!

    About how many pearls and crystals did you use for per one shoe?

    • @Blingionaire
      @Blingionaire  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi, I would recommend using a whole lot of plastic bags in that area or try a towel & use it just to stuff sneakers. The added weight should hold up the structure.

      Hi thank you for the compliment. Unfortunately I do not get my converse wholesale. I use part of the funds that was used to purchase my crystal converse to buy that actually sneaker. I like to get them from Shoe Carnival because they have half sizes in the store & I'm a reward member so I can get discounts & BOGO 1/2 off. I'm always in there & when I go I'm usually buying 2 or more at a time so I get the deals. Also Journeys & Famous Footwear are my other go to stores. I'm also a member & get store/online discounts, $5 off or 10-15% off & BOGO 1/2 off at Famous footwear. Last is Foot locker & The Converse outlet. They do don't give discounts & the converse I need are never on sale. I hope this helps.

They both dry clear which is great but I saw the comment about the Gem Tac yellowing over time. 😩 I didn’t know that! I’m new at this and have used each only once. I’m confused on which to use. Help! • @Blingionaire
      @Blingionaire  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would love to just use gem tec, it's non toxic & has a strong hold...but over time I've noticed it will turn a yellowish tent. If you are doing work on a white background the dry glue will turn yellowish. The E6000 is toxic with a strong smell but it will not turn the item yellowish. Now if I'm working with other colors besides white then I'll use gem tec.
