i love bonnie tyler and her great voice!this song is great, no matter for whom it was written for!especially the opera aria-thing at the beginning gives me goosebumps!
Wow, I missed this one back in the day (never knew Bonnie Tyler covered it!), but I certainly remember Air Supply's original. I'm more used to Air Supply's arrangement/musical backing, and probably prefer it, but Tyler just knocks the vocals out of the ballpark with her raw emotion. I have long thought this song would make a great mash-up with her "Total Eclipse of the Heart" (same songwriter - no big surprise!); hearing this makes it seem all the more possible...just use all 3 versions!
This stage you refer, calls PASSION when all of us are crazy, fools, on the moon, thinking only the same and that's what Air Supply does, desire so much than can make love whith nothing at all. THIS IS WHAT NO EXIST. Have you loved really somebody ??? Have You kissed the tears and holding out ... I think that to you, love means ''' eat a Cake ''' and believe in nothing at all ....
Bonnie, you lift this one to another level, far better then anyone else. I think this was released 96, I was so lonely that year but Bonnie and this one give me comfort, thanks
this is sosa damn beautiful. when Air Supply created this song i loved it and i thought - a female vocal would be lovely. Bonnie turned out to be the perfect choice. i am an original 80's teen girl. i wish today's generation could feel this magic like we did. go Bonnie go.
I did read ages ago that she had a surgery for her vocal chords, and did bounce back with all those hits. The writer described that her voice then sounded like the vocal chords had been soaked in whiskey.
i was catched by the song here, listening to various from bonnie tyler!!!... but really it is a song that belongs truly to air supply - wow his voice, he nailed it!!!
God, this is ethereal and magical. I don’t know how I never heard this version. I always loved the lyrics to this and Bonnie sings incredibly on this. I’m simply awestruck.
BRAVO! BRAVO! Listen to the words folks, absolutely and Bonnie you sang it the best yet, listen to that passion, Lyrics, everything I own is nothing till I give it to you" I can make you find your power" I can make all your Demons be gone... What a passionate song, so meaningful, what love can do and how it is taken advantage of! Thank you for posting
gosh.i almost forgot she made a version of this song...but now that i hear it i can't forget it...that whiskey voice...never had cable/mtv, so i don't recall the vid...thanks!
The setting and her movements reminds me of Sarah Brightman when she was younger. I love the song, and I love Bonnie with the courage to sing after have an operation on her throat.
Bonnie Tyler was not only just about a twin to one of my exes, but this song was just about spot on to our relationship, through numerous reconcilliations. I like the song because I like Bonnie Tyler, so I here-by dedicate this song to Shelley K.
lol.... I expect anything from mankind, but this i swear i would have no clue of how it can happen: "badly vocal" a burning, passionate interpretation of an amazing song loved by millions of people!!!!! Bonnie at his best. Your comment is FREAKY, man!
The Queen of Power ballads Bonnie Tyler you rock saw her sing Total Eclipse of the Heart with Lucy Lawless in 2006 Breath taking. Thanks for the music Bonnie
Jim Steinman is one of the greatest American songwriters ever. It doesn't matter if it's Air Supply or Bonnie Tyler or Carrie Underwood or Sarah Geronimo singing this, it is just one in a book of classics that Mr. Steinman has cranked out.
I never knew Bonnie Tyler sang this song. Absolutely riveting! I hope the young girls today could see this and start to distinguish what really is talent.
everwood ur right american radio stations in some states also failed to play laura branigan spanish eddie back in 85 when that came out that also was a great hit song
This version should had been released in the USA and Canada. It had "hit" written all over it for the North American charts! Such a shame! This version will always blow the original by Air Supply out of the water.
I love her videos, they seem to have a gothic feel to them, and she is a much overlooked Amazing Talent, who will be in Vegas, Nov 3rd at Santa Fe Station. I got my ticket. Hope to see you there.
I remember this song being a hit for Air Supply back in 1983, but I have to admit, I do like Bonnie's version better. I always love bombastic Jim Steinman songs.
This sounds sooo good, yes I would like to hear Meat Loaf sing this, He has a great voice also. Bonnies voice just gets you its hard to explain, I love to listen to her!

one of the most incredible songs- lyrics. yet, love isn't something realistic, it's just a stage of an illusion we wish to believe in.
That's all!

Jim Steinman is one of the greatest American songwriters ever. It doesn't matter if it's Air Supply or Bonnie Tyler or Carrie Underwood or Sarah Geronimo singing this, it is just one in a book of classics that Mr. Steinman has cranked out.
