    Small update 10 months later: Beeping has come back. Pressure washer is definitely the culprit. In the last wash, I forgot to stay back from the sensors with the spray. Lesson learned.

    Thanks for the video. Step 5 in your research is definitely the most common problem, sensors getting wet. After a recent downpour of rain, I got a "service parking sensors" alarm on my dash screen (2017 RAM 3500 HD truck). This happened once before but cleared itself once the truck completely dried out. I saw another TH-cam video where spraying a bit of WD40 directly into the sensors right on the bumper, using a rag to wipe away any excess, cures this problem rather quickly. The WD40 drives out any moisture trapped inside the sensors. Easy fix without having to remove anything, much less the entire bumper. This works on all parking sensors on most any vehicle. Hope this helps. .

      Great insight, thanks Phil. It seems water is the most common cause. Worth having a spare can of WD40 in the car for perking sensor emergencies!

      Having a similar issue after a CAR WASH. It's been 24 hrs and still having the issue after having parked overnight in the garage... Though it was bee raining so it's in high humidity. I'll try the WD40 and see if that helps dry it out

    That WD-40 trick worked for me on my 2013 Cadillac XTS. 👌🏽

    Hi! You, Sir, are incredibly helpful. Thank you SO much for posting this!! ❤️ I was on my way home during a sad but pesky snow storm. (It wasn’t the amount I wanted, it was not enough lol) My front censor went on non-stop for over a minute - which feels like FOREVER because it’s so loud. Snow of something kicked up and stuck on it. I’ve cleaned the rear censors before only because I couldn’t see behind me, but not the front. lol. So annoying and you saved me! Yay!! My Hero! Thank you again!!

      Glad it helped sir! It seems the sensors don't like getting soaked, after a recent downpour of rain mine started beeping again. All the best 👍

    My Volvo V60 (2019) started playing up (the sensors) Washed it, tried WD40 but still playing up like continuous sound or intermittent when nowhere near anything or not going off ata ll or very late when approaching a wall or another vehicle. Volvo main dealer narrowed it down to a spider/web but unfortunatley that did not cure it either. So its back to the dealer again as this is warranty work. But thanks for the video

      I don't think they're the best of components to be honest 😅

    Awesome video. Wish I’d found it last year when I replaced all my sensors (still didn’t fix it but did stop the continuous beep). Will have another go this weekend to see if I can get working.

      Thanks! It's come back on mine after a few months. Definitely caused by water, WD40 seems to help for a while. Hope you get it sorted 👍

    Actually OBD 2 code reader will NOT display any code. And after a while I showed rear park assist fault on screen but still no code.

    This is super helpful, thanks. I think one of my front parking sensors has been damaged by a stone hitting it whilst I’ve been driving as there’s a chip on it, so I need to replace it as I currently get the continuous beep. Garage quoted £400 - sounds like an easy fix to do myself though thanks to your video saving me a heap of cash !

      That's good to hear. As DIY jobs go it's quite easy removing the bumper, well on the SE spec it is. Good luck 👍

    Заменил 3 датчика pdc,в Rheingold блок PDC , горит зелёным, но парктроники все равно не работают: Pdc failure, обратитесь в сервис.. Что может быть? Правда смотрел, живые вроде..

    • @GeesDrive

      Could be an issue with the module in the rear then maybe?

    • @ridermc
      @ridermc ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GeesDrive I sorted it out, everything seems to be fine there. may be due to the fact that some sensors did not install original..

    Do you have to reset the system after changing the sensor ?

    • @GeesDrive
      @GeesDrive  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't think so, unless it's stored a sensor error which I didn't have.

    My sensors sound the alarm but no longer displays car model on screen, anybody have experience with this issue?
