    0.5 thermal pad is too thin, there will be no connection between the chip and the cooler. I recommend using 1mm from Artic. This thermal pad is softer than the original, so you don't have to worry about 1mm thickness. A comfortable squeeze will occur.

    • @rubenel7993
      @rubenel7993 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wrong, terrible advice. Many cases of crashing on TH-cam by using 1mm on Saphire RX 500 cards (their stock pads are 0.75mm from fabric). Do not use 1mm on these cards it will not squish enough for the heatsink to make proper contact with the processor. 0.5mm does the job here.

  • @porktesinorn870
    @porktesinorn870 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sir sapphire pulse rx580 uses 0.75mm for VRam and 1.0mm for VRM right? Its hard to find 0.75mm for VRam. Did you use 0.5mm for VRam? How about VRM did you use 1.0mm?

    • @ryzeeboi7637

      I used only 0.5mm.

    • @KaRuNaRuGa
      @KaRuNaRuGa ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's what I did, until the VRAM chips overheated and produced artifacts. Can't even run 4K benchmarks in superposition without it crashing the program. I now use thermal putty instead, which lowered temps more than previously. The only caveat is that it's a mess to clean.
