Some people discount these sorts of bikes. However I worked in Seattle during the Seattle quake. People abandoned their cars on major roads and that included i5 as well. Movement was impossible. I had to walk nearly 20 miles like in a suit as I had three children at home ( I hoped - the panic when cell service is down was terrible ) So I bought one to keep in my trunk. It also was great for a spur of the moment rides on a nice day. Look a bit of space but well worth it for myself in peace of mind and fun
Thanks Russ for the video. PortaPedal and Clever Cycles are the best Brompton dealers in the country WITH the best customer service. Awesome shop, Al....Kudos from San Marcos, Texas.
Looks like a great shop..my wife and I live in London and own both Bromptons and a Moulton each..the suspension on the Moulton is great and they are really well made bikes..just like the Brompton..good to know Moultons are coming into the USA!
I have a 20" folder by Dahon. For all-terrain riding you will need the Schwalbe big apple 2" tyres for the rear & Schwalbe 2" black jack [mtb-style tyre] for the front - I promise you will lose the lightweight front end with a smooth tyre on wet smooth surfaces or gravel/mud. I'm interested to see the molten as a potential upgrade because of the suspension but it must have 2" rubber on it.
Nice to see so many British manufactured products - Brompton, Moulton, Brooks, Carradice. Moulton bikes are made a few miles from where I live. BTW. We are currently have a bit of a political/economic nervous breakdown over here - which should make these products cheaper in the US as the value of the Pound falls...
I ride a Moulton TSR with Rohloff hub ... and have fun with 'road-bikes' who cannot figure out how a 'weird looking shopping bike' is as fast as they are. The 75 tooth chainwheel gives it away a little though ...
I sure would like to take a Moulton for a spin sometime. See if that double suspended frame deserves its sterling reputation. Looks like a really interesting bike. Also... “sin-in-law”... ouch!
This looks like a great bike shop! I wish there were more like this.

Great, all the best in pursuing that passion, the moulton and brompton are both amazing products!

Any plans to be in the Phoenix area again? I'd love to go on a ride with you guys!
He didn't mention that Moultons are also very fast, I mean road bike fast.

PortaPedal bike shop in AZ.
What is the name of the three-wheeled cargo bike in this video? I can't find anything about it online.
That is the Kiffy. Portapedal has some on the way to them now.
I would LOVE a bike I can take on the road. But I’m 6’3”. Would a Brampton work or is there a better option?
Moultons are Very adjustable.
