Loving Sage so far but I need to get that “panic” out of my system in pug groups when shit hits the fan. I can close my eyes on WHM in such a situation and know what to do by muscle memory but right now I find myself suddenly not knowing what cool downs I need when panic sets in.

A nice little neat trick as a sage is to use the animation scene (03:46) that ends up being big AOE damage to fill up your adderstings all at once by applying 3 shields.
This feels less like sage is overpowered and more like just the usual case with this game's damage output, that is the fact its equivalent to being hit with a wet noodle. Regardless, great work. I don't mean to imply you weren't skilled, I'd have done significantly worse.
No offense taken, you're pretty much correct. This is meant less as an achievement and more as an answer to peoples complaining that sage is unplayable. I'm personally of the opinion sage will be the superior prog barrier healer.
@@YoumadSuthran ive only run into 1 good sage so far. Whenever i see sage i get scared because it usually ends badly where people arent getting healed up. I sadly had a game where a sage left because they just couldnt keep up with heals.
@@tetraspell Honest answer, the job functions with a new gimmick and peoples that jump on new jobs bandwagons are generally dogwater at the game and loud. Same thing happened when AST dropped.
Are you using any game addons/mods? Your colors look so crisp and distinguishable from every other stuff happening, Would love have my game look like this
@Zach Taylor agreed. I have friends go with me in dungeons and usually have them push my boundaries so I can try and react and get use to things. The struggle is real. I’m a main tank at heart.
In ShB I found putting 3 piety materia into my gear somewhere meant I could be basically chain casting raise and never feel like I was going to run out of mana. Like to the point of not needing to use lucid unless it was a super emergency. Wonder if it holds up for EW. And I know “euuugh not 100% dps efficient” but I’d rather feel like I have more wiggle room to deal with mistakes since players aren’t simbots. I would guess Sage wants DH or crit/det though.
i have loads of problems with big dungeon pulls on sage. i try again and again. I'm watching videos and guides. but in big dungeon pulls the tank almost always goes down to like 10-15% health
physis II>kerachole>haima(or panhaima if the other one is on cd)>soteria, should be more that enogh to keep them alive, if that is still not enogh maybe is not your fault and the tank is not using cds properly or the dps are not killing fast enogh.
@@EduardoGonzalez-qj9mg should I use kera a little bit before physis ends to get the healing buff for kera? or spread them out a bit more? ( i guess physis also buffs the healing through kardia? )
@@Sothros Should let Physis II snapshot the healing buff on kerachole right away then at 2secs left on the buff use haima to snapshot the healing buff as well. Haima goes fast since it gets used when the tank gets hit. Sometimes it aint our fault and the tank just don't use cd's, don't have good mechanics or the dps just sucks. Could also throw in Zoe + eukrasian diagnosis for a couple of gcds. Don't hesitate to throw druchole once kerachole wears off since druchole has a 700cure potency. Then use Rhizomata for the next big pull. Ideally Zoe and soteria are used with different packs.
@@Sothros What I usually do in dungeon runs with SGE: 1st pull: Physis + Krasis -> Kerachole -> Haima -> Holos -> when Kerachole runs out Taurochole. 2nd pull Physis + Krasis -> Kerachole -> Panhaima -> Soteria In between refreshing E. Diagnosis shields and throwing out Toxikons & Phlegmas. At this point this should be enough to keep the tank alive. And in case it's needed I still have Zoe + Pneuma

@@Lucurryo Widescreen definitely feels nice thanks to the bigger FoV. Screen quality wise, the colors are pretty good and light is evenly distributed across the screen.
I'd love to try out Sage but my tiny reptilian brain can't keep up unfortunately. I did play Reaper and maxed out both Reaper and Machinist already. I dunno which class I'll do next, maybe Dark Knight or Gunbreaker
If you can handle MCH you can probably handle SGE. You just need to get used to healing. But the idea is that you're doing a lot of weaving with heals in between mostly casting damage spells
@@JohnyScissors I did try it, but it just got overwhelming for me quickly unfortunately with the casting of barriers. I'll likely have a friend of mine help me out with it once I'm comfortable again, though because I genuinely want to max it out
@@YuriusSan There's nothing wrong with SCH, I just think sage has a more interesting toolkit. I chose SCH first primarily to also have SMN immediately available. So.. it's not about the job, but my choices.
Nah. Every healer can do this. Just need to save certain spells for certain mechanics like he used Panhaima during that stack mechanic. No nerf needed. Healers have incredibly OP heals in this game.
@@YoumadSuthran to be honest I could see SGE getting a personal DPS nerf even in light of that. It really depends on how SCH and AST wind up in the first tier. WHM needs all the help it can get at the moment given its design gaps generally make DPSing harder, not easier. If anything I felt they should have gotten the filler potency SGE has to really solidify their place in terms of numbers.
@@GrimoireM As it stands, WHM is still ahead of the curve in term of personal dps and sage/scholar are fairly close to eachother. Something I could see getting nerfed a bit in the future is the insane amount of mp ogcds tied to the gage give back though. It feels litterally impossible to run out of mp on sage.
@@YoumadSuthran even when you run out you can get up to full in a minute or two, when you've forgotten to Regen mana xD I can't see the Sage solo healing Hydealin ex though. The amount of incoming dmg on that one is a lot more, especially raid wides in short duration... And healer targeted stacks will probably kill the group with second one being random then xD

I love your uses of Icarus this fight, also PanHaima, it's like they designed this fight specifically for the sage toolkit

I play on controller but when i watch a video on FF, I see/hear the person using keyboard frantically pushing their keys hard af. Why is that??

Sage is stupid strong there no doubt to that my question is did Divine veil going off in rotation from pld stack with your shields to pad damage

@@startrek8914 haven't tested but divine veil should pop off from eukrasian prognosis(aoe shield) cause it is a spell with a small heal
