- The 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series season was Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s fifth full-time season, and it started in a big way. With United States President George W. Bush giving the command to fire engines, Earnhardt won the Daytona 500, the race that famously took his father twenty years to win.

I like the way the old cars moved especially on the short tracks
Sounds like Jr was pissed at Kurt Busch after making the final pass for the lead. You can also hear the tension in his voice after getting the lead. Great stuff to listen to!
good to have you back again
Look at those stacked up decals🙂 get that air moving over the cameras
This is so awesome! Man Jr. is such a class act!
This is so awesome. Would love to have the 2014 500 too.
1:51:30 man the biff didn’t want to get shuffled back
I was there!
2:43:15 is where Dale won the race. Listen…
Badass
How do you get these older radio/in car footage. Need one of jr for the 01 Pepsi 400
The audio comes from the old NASCAR In-Car service, which aired the driver's audio with the live onboard feed and some graphics. At 2:59:23, the service name plays. The in-car footage comes from a raw unedited tape from Dale Jr.'s TH-cam channel.

I would love to have audio of the '01 Pepsi 400, but the In-Car service was started two years after in 2003.
@@NASCARIn-CarRadio thanks for the insight. Your doing the lords work 👍🏽👍🏽
have you uploaded the 01 pepsi 400? where he says "I dont even have to push the gas the whole way down"
That’s hilarious. I’d love to hear that in-car
Wow thanks for the spoilers in the title
This is sarcasm right? It's literally a 20 year old race not to mention one of his most well known wins
lmao

That's just the source video, nothing I could do about it.
That's how it was for every version with the in-car video
