It literally is tho. Frame 3 invulnerable up b out of shield, with a hitbox, that you can act out of. It's both the fastest and one of the most versatile OOS in the game

But on everything else you're absolutely right. Honestly, G&W might have the best Up-B in the game.

This dude is crazy. I'm trying to main G&W and studying Maister's games is essential. His patience in neutral waiting for Up B's is beautiful, his advantage is unbelievable, look at that 0-73. In disadvantage he's so quick to Up B and resolve the situation entirely. This is truly masterful play

G&W isnt a complex super big brain matchup....its find away around the up B down air spam,the neutral b,and the long lasting aerials which wouldnt be a huge problem if once you get close he didnt have Neutral B/down air. That's really it....the only difference between maister and every other game and watch player is his combo game..you can very easily find a game and watch player that can and will do everything seen in this video except 0-70% someone.....

this was expected...like palutena if you don't have a disjoint and some range on your aerials youre not getting through game and watches nair in a direct confrontation...and anything remotely laggy on game and watches shield or any untrue combos will always be punished by up b...and light is always in the air and always jumping in on people...and that's a fight fox will never win against game and watch...maister always two stocks any player fighting him for the first time who uses a short range character...cuz they don't know the matchup...no one knows the matchup against game and watch since no one but maister uses the character...light was slowly learning but too little too late...specially since he cant play his usuall highly aggressive playstyle in an attempt to overwhelm his opponent...try that against a good game and watch and youll just get destroyed if using a short ranged character like fox

@@CastafioreOnTH-cam you win some you lose some...eh sword characters have their weaknesses...they always win the range and spacing game but none of them really have multi hit or lingering hitboxes...so you just have to time your out of shield options or wait for them to whiff and get in close on them where they don't do so well...that or you zone them out with projectiles...it aint fun for the flat man but hardly impossible...frankly their ko power is more a nuisance for G&W than their range...since game and watch explodes from just getting breathed on too hard

Light was horrible
No disrespect, but Maister only wins off people not knowing the match-up, and is super obvious in the way Light was playing that that was the case. Maister will only ever win minor events/locals. If G&W was prominent enough for people to actually know the character well, Maister would just get washed non-stop.
That's how almost everyone win against top players though. Spargo, Bocchi, Leon, etc.
