@john ferguson Thank you for your comment, I also considered him God's Comedian because the Comedian that he was and the love of Comedy itself that Dave had could have only be God given. My father’s generation were so like that , they could just sit & tell a story out of nowhere, We are a nation of storytellers & I think that’s what gave Dave the edge , he would have listened to a lot of that growing up n Ireland.... Tom O’ Connor & Val Doonigan could tell a great story also ... albeit Tom was born n England..

Wow! No commenst in 3 years here. That's very sad in memory of one of the greatest ever comics that lived. I could listen through the Dave Allen sketches on You Tube & eventually die laughing as well as of old age! :)
His videos have more to offer than some teen gamers sharing an experience in TH-cam screaming at nothing and being paid lots for it but thats also the sad thing about this world. No one appreciates simpler times. This was real entertainment. Made you feel good at night watching and relaxing.
At the risk of sounding boastful , the Irish are wonderful at storytelling ( esp older generation ) & that is what Dave Allen was , he was a comedic storyteller & one of the best ... Years ago n Ireland ( long b4 my time ) when there were no tv’s or radio’s ppl would go 2 different houses storytelling , playing music & singing that was their entertainment then & that’s why I feel we can still tell a good story ! Not so sure if this generation can though !

Every person should consider others who are less fortunate because in your next life cycle you could be one of the less fortunate in society so too could I that is why my life is always in danger for speaking my mind just like Dave Allen with his outspoken comments.
