Who would Gearbox be? Tediore? Somthing we don't want around but will use because it's all we got 😂 (Didn't mean the company as a whole just Randy Pitchford)
One of the things people don’t talk about is that yes BL3 drops too many legendary items but the real issue is so many legendary weapons are pretty bad and are just left on the ground. If an item is truly legendary it shouldn’t suck.
I think part of the issue is there is just too many different legendary weapons in BL3. There are more LEGENDARY weapons in BL3 than there are UNIQUE weapons in any other Borderlands game, pair that with poor balancing, and the loot pool bloating I mentioned in this video, and it leads to a very unsatisfactory farming experience
I think because they made too many joke and "wacky" type guns that were designed to make people go "Oh look at this quirky gun, that's so funny!". There's nothing wrong with doing that for a few of the legendaries.. but when 70% of them are like this it's a huge problem. At least make the joke guns unique rarity or something
What I want to see is decently written story that doesn’t ignore the existing lore. Most may not care about that, but good mechanics alone won’t keep me in the game. Also, I would love it if they reduced the visual pollution since I can be sensitive to bright lights and flashes to the point of getting migraines.
Yea, it was strange how there was a very specific siren limit that was just ignored in 3. Unless I'm being dumb, I'm pretty sure that before the 1st siren dies in 3, there are already 6 sirens that we know of. So they just added more
@@tanairium654 What? I thought there were six and only six. The twins count as one because they were born twins and shared the power, except you know, only one of them was truly a Siren and the other couldn't survive on his own until he stole another Siren's powers and became a full Siren. At the start of the game, there were three Sirens on the Vault hunter side. That makes four total in BL3. There could have been a living Siren that inherited Steele's powers and a sixth unknown and potentially not living Siren. According to the wiki this would have been Asha whose ability was to control animals but she's from a comic and may or many not be cannon and may not be alive. So only 4 sirens make an appearance in BL3 (again twins count only as one), 1 potentially alive or dead Siren in Asha, and one potential Siren to inherit Steele's powers.
@@projectblitz7290 If I remember correctly, Asha and anything in the comics are not canon. Similar to almost everything the devs mentioned in the BL1 ultimate edition guide book, really.
Another big letdown with the level cap increases was that they put out the awesome caretls event, ended it, and then a weke later upped the level cap so all of the new loot we all spent month farming and enjoying was more or less invalidated.
They NEED to let our character actually matter in this one. Our character needs more lines, needs to DO things in cutscenes, not disappear completely. Pair this with some actual good writing and characters and I'll be much happier than i was with 3.
i want skippable cutscenes and dialogue. And i want them to fully focus on revamping the gameplay of borderlands to be as good as it was in BL3 in what they did. I want to be using jetpacks, have greater indepth and purposeful unique skill trees. I want to be able to use different melee weapons and have many variations of them. I want this to be the biggest and baddest borderlands game release there ever was. This will be the 6th mainline entry fps borderlands game. And yet it still feels like the borderlands universe isnt really been done much with it. It took until bl3 before we got to go to other planets (elpis moon was cool but not enough). The entire universe still feels so small and i want to see more of it
@@WhatASausage179 i think that's fine, but it's how they use it which will determine how good it is. Like using the same graphics and gameplay type as bl3 is fine to me, but its what they add/change to it which will determine its depth
The world and lore has barely been fleshed out in 15 years. It peaked in the stretch of borderlands 2-tps-tales from 2012-2015 but feels like it’s stalled since then
I liked the drop rates for legendaries only because I think Red Text adds interesting quirks to guns. I wouldn't mind if they scaled it back and made more Red Text purple and blues worth using, like the Crit. Likewise, it'd be cool to see higher difficulties bring back other rarities, like Pearl, Seraph, and Effervescent.
i want the story to not make me wanna commit arson. it can even be in the background like it was in bl1. i'd like the gun raritys to actually mean something again and to bring back pearls. i'd like there to be 6 playable characters from standard. there should be no dud characters like gaige or auralia with only one playstyle, as well as no clearly op character like moze or sal. character abilities have been pretty good across all the games so just keep it up. maybe buff pet builds like fl4k and gaige, idk. if theres any endgame op levels or equivalent there shouldnt be over like 5 stages of difficulty, or if there is at least make the process not suck. you dont wanna spend the rest of your life in chaos chambers or cheese the peak to get right to binary boss. if the process is as enjoyable as the difficulty unlock itself then everyone would do it every time.
"Borderlands has always been about farming specific gear from its specific source" Meanwhile the first game in the series literally only had world drops
what i hate the most, is being forced to bo back and forth during mission ends. what i want, is that when a mission ends, it just lets you go forward immediately without having to go back to sanctuary etc.
High drop rates = not getting burnout on killing the same annoying enemy and having to quit save constantly. That’s the plus side. The more adult you get the less time you have so it saves any kind of headache.
Just wasted almost 10 hours farming for badaboom in bl2 so yea i agree. Also consoles suffer from loading times so if i want a legendary all that farming and loading screen wait = 200h
True, but what I found is that the community for these types of games are actually older individuals. I've met a bunch of 40 year old dad's on games like Destiny, Borderlands, and other looter shooters.
YES. I loved the weird, different tiers above legendaries. They honestly didn't offer a whole lot that most legmedaries couldn't handle already, but the idea that you could get something even rarer than an already rare item was AMAZING.
@@David-McCormick pearls were like the end game collectibles. sure most of them are pieces of shit but the emotions i get when i see a pearl drop is better than seeing a legendary drop for the 1000th time. bl3 didn't have those. just mayhem exclusive legendaries. so there's basically no point in playing end game because there's no rare collectible items that's higher than legendaries and there's only one "raid boss"
I would add that you should make the Pearlesencts WORTH the rarity and grinding! make the Pearls GREAT not crap! Also, cool functions as well as better damage, firerate and magazine size(and mag replenish on kill or small mag size but has the mag replenish on kill, although that could be a S&S Munitions manufacturer special gimmick) better then the best Legendaries!
Anointed enemies won't be in 4, at least in the same form since the guy that makes them is dead lol. Anointments are so annoying though, they're too expensive to reroll and build, and getting the perfect ones are so difficult.
@@armyofninjas9055agreed. I don’t know what these people are talking about. The entire point of the game is grinding not only to get particular weapons, but particular weapons with specific mutations and stuff. It just adds extra layers of replayability.
What i don't wanna see in Borderlands 4: Cash Shop, Progress Gates (mostly locked behind a paywall), Time Gates (mostly locked behind a paywall), Seasons, Skins (thos who can only be obtained with real Money), Lootboxes or Crates, No Virtuell Currency, No need to be permanent connected to the internet, NO LIVE-SERVICE mechanics!!! no items locked behind a paywall like Weapons or upgrades, modules. we have had enough of those greedy criminal tactics.
most of what you said isnt a part of Gearbox and wont come to a Borderlands game anyway, so most of it is redundant to list. having to pay for weapons and such is normal, but in the sense of a full fleshed out DLC as well as incentive. having to pay for skins isnt a necessary part of the game as skins are only cosmetics, so if you pay for them, it's not "pay to win".
My pet peeve is when the next objective is talking to a character, and when I approach them, they spout a random piece of dialogue, which can’t be interrupted, and I have to wait for them to finish blathering to interact again. Worse is when there’s a couple NPC standing next to one another, and if _they_ have random dialogue, I _also_ have to wait for them to finish before interacting with the objective. To top it all off, as soon as one stops blathering, many times another immediately starts, and now I gotta wait for them. I shouldn’t have to wait on randomly generated dialogue whose only purpose is to fill empty space. Just let me click on the objective and get this show on the road!!
My hopes for bl4- 1.Have the quality of story and characters form bl2. 2. Keep the skill tree aspect from bl3 3.Bring back the glorious grinder 4.Bring back some weapon that got cut from bl3 like Hyperion pistols tourgue assault rifles and other 5.Have a good range of dlc and extra content that isn’t repetitive 6.Not have levels locked behind paywalls
Hell yeah for 4, one of my main complaints about the Borderlands franchise is the shrinking weapon diversity through out the games, in BL1 every manufacturer made every weapon category (remember Torgue SMGs or Dahl shotguns?), then in BL2 some manufacturers no longer made certain weapon categories (maybe because Gearbox felt some guns from certain companies overlapped with each other, like if Bandit made sniper rifles then it would be just a Vladof sniper with worse stats.) and then BL3 continued this trend of cutting weapon categories to the point where only 3 companies made rocket launchers (where's my Tediore rocket launchers Gearbox?). I hope BL4 comes with more weapon variety like Hyperion assault rifles, Torgue snipers, etc.
@@xXDeiviDXx Ye I remember playing with those weapon which got cut and enjoyed them because I’m not 100% sure but I think they still had Hyperion pistol in the pre sequel and still had toruge assault rifles but absolutely hell yeah if they bring the weapons that were gone back thanks for agreeing with me by the way
having more options like Torgue getting gyrojet guns and explosive rounds guns(SMGs, Machine pistols, Sniper rifles) as possible additions, and more manufacturers having shields and grenades, along with better weapons arsenal, everyone gets handguns(like how BL1 did it, we have Pistols, Machine pistols and Revolvers, make it so that some Manufacturers get at least 2 out of 3 handgun categories), SMGs where appropriate(Jakobs is the BIG IRON gun maker, so a Big caliber revolver and big caliber pistol make sense over Machine pistols and SMGs, unless the SMGs are big caliber slow fire rate CHUNKA CHUNKA CHUNKA style SMGs), and Big guns get Rocket and Grenade options, Minguns/Bullet Spewers and Energy blast shots. make it all awesome to grind for. That reminds me, if Pearlesents are added back in BL4, make them WORTH THE GRIND! make them GREAT and feel great to use, instead of crap! For story, I would prefer it to have BL3 a possible future that can be avoided. add in a Vault Hunter roster over just 4. We need all the Vault Hunters we can get, after all.
Removing overlapping weapon archetypes is not bad though. There was no principal difference between hyperion pistols and smgs so it was a good idea to simply combine them into a single class
My list for Bl4: -Story that doesn't ignore previous installments. -Skippable dialogue/cutscenes after seeing/hearing them once. -Make TVHM matter. -No UVHM (or make it that TVHM becomes UVHM after the final story mission is complete, like in Borderlands 1) -Lower Max level (we don't need a repeat of what happened to 2 and 3. A good max level would be around 65) -No extreme enemy HP/Shield/Armor increases for higher difficulties. Bl3 and Wonderlands needed an overly complex damage formula to compensate for the higher levels. With it gone, most skills wouldn't need multiplicative damage to work, and people can focus on skills that are defensive (other than lifesteal of course). Min-maxing is fine, but it shouldn't be the only option. Health regen on enemies was also annoying. Having them lose their regen when under a DoT can leave weapons that rely on it to work the way they're intended. -Farmable unique enemies that have dedicated drops, whether they're legendaries, uniques, and/or quest reward items. (The Pre-Sequel didn't have many enemies with dedicated legendary drops, and it and Bl2 had quest rewards only be obtainable once per playthrough without mods). -The grinder. Have it work the way it did in the Pre-Sequel, and give it a recipe for uniques, pearls, and other types/rarities of items. -More immersiveness (Examples: •Enemies can wield whatever gun or shield they want, with the rarity increasing for the type of weapon. Rocket launchers are the rarest. Close range enemies will sometimes wear spike, nova, and roid shields, while long range enemies (anyone with a gun) will sometimes wear absorb, booster, and amp shields. Amp shields will reduce an enemy's shield, and enemy boosters will be a different color. Any shielded enemy might wear a normal, turtle shield, or HP increasing shield, but they may have less or more HP. •Enemies can use any rarity for weapons. The higher the rarity, the less likely you see an enemy use it. The most common are white pistols and the rarest are pearlescent rocket launchers. •No more armor bar. Armored enemies can lose their armor if shot at certain parts of their body holding the armor up or shot with a corrosive weapon. They'll become a flesh enemy (with their health left at the point the armor breaks) and their bar will turn red accordingly. Fully mechanical enemies will not lose their armor. •Corporate enemies only use weapons of the corporation they're associated with (I.e. Vladof soldiers use Vladof guns, shields, and grenades) Bandits use whatever they want (with some exceptions). •Enemy shields (as in the shields that a nomad/enforcer would use) break if shot enough. Grenades, Torgue splash damage, and rocket launchers break them immediately. •More interactable items and buildings to go into. I'm talking RDR2 style. Missions and daily/weekly challenges may be found in them. •NPCs saying different things. This depends on the character played as, their loot quality, their current level and builds, their HP value at the time, their actions, and the time a player has been on. This applies to story characters, side characters, enemies, and bosses. Raid bosses included as well, if they're a human or robot.) -Radiation rework: Irradiated enemies take +20% damage from guns and grenades -Return of some gear: Ironclad, Rose, Redemption, Reaper, Bulldog, Striker, Bonus Package, Lascaux and Fridgia, T4s-r, Laser of Enlightenment, Boganella, Law and Order, Sham, Lady Finger/Fist, Patriot, Actualizer, Hydra, Captain Blade's arsenal, Hammer Buster, Defiler, Firehawk, Avenger, Jackal, Bessie, Hawkeye, this list is too damn long. You get the drill. -Mayhem rework (in case UVHM isn't an option): Mayhem mode is obtainable after the second playthrough is completed. It's an optional way to play a harder difficulty, with some weapons being locked to it. There are no health and shield increases, but instead some modifiers. (Here are some I thought of: •Psycho enemies may drop a live grenade when killed. Badasses drop grenades with a larger radius. Grenades are random elements. •Enemies have a higher chance to dodge when shot at. •Close range enemies move 30% faster. •New enemies, some I could think of: armored psychos, elite bandits that may switch weapons under circumstances, Eridian skags, and explosive rakk.) -Anointment reworks. They are minor bonuses to guns, grenades, and shields will only appear in the second playthrough and afterward. (They are: *Guns:* •10% chance to ignore shields •-15% gun recoil and +10% accuracy •8% chance to not use ammo when firing •+5% increased DoT chance •+15% movement speed *Grenades:* •10% chance for grenade to not be consumed upon use *Shields:* •Enemy damage reduced by 10% when shields are up •+15% movement speed when shield is broken •Enemies killed return 5% of the shield's max capacity (takes shield capacity boosts and returned shield capacity from possible skills into consideration) -Simplified class mods. Change class mods passives back to how they were in 2 and the Pre-Sequel. -Simplified relics. Relics now only fit a certain niche, with their passives being akin to Bl2's. -Removal of Badass Rank and guardian rank, replaced by character perk points, which are more minor boosts that characters can have. They are gained every few levels. There are no damage boosts, but some are taken from Guardian Rank abilities. (Some ideas are: •Aiming down sights in FFYL •Ground pounds can be done at the apex of the character's jump •Health regen after second winds •Increased multiplayer revive speed •Increased slide speed) •Double jump -A developer report button for bugs, and more support in general That's probably all of it. Maybe too much.
I don't care about anointed enemies necessarily, just them being fucking immune for 90% of their fucking life on the map. I love the concept of these little mini bosses with these massive aoe control skills, keeping you moving and attentive. But making them fucking immune to keep them interesting is fucking bullshit. Same with bosses. No fucking immune phases, better skills and fights, absolutely ,no fucking immune phases, please
1:31 The reason for small level cap increases was so players wouldn't need to refarm. Increasing the levels by 11 each time mean that you had to start from scratch. Smaller level cap increases are much better. 2:49 No. Anointments do NOT make or break builds. Anointments increase build variety but in 99% of cases anointments are interchangeable. So unless you use anointments that won't work on your build or character it won't make a difference. 4:22 The level grind in Bl3 is literally the fastest yet. You're done in just 30 minutes. 6:58 Mayhem 4 was not a good place to stop. Unlike anointments this version of mayhem actually made or broke builds. Players literally save quit over and over again to get modifiers that didn't impact their builds. It was very bad. 7:10 Wonderlands chaos levels are 100% optional. There's literally zero content behind chaos levels. Chaos 100 is there to test builds of theorycrafters and see how far the can go. It is not something the casual player should get to. And your mentality towards it shows that we can't have actual challenging content without casual players complaining and getting it nerfed like in Wonderlands.
I want the early game mechanics to still be valid in the endgame. I can't remember the last time I shot a psycho on the leg to make him trip, or shot a barrel. Or melee to stun an enemy. The endgame gets buried by just massive numbers. Both enemy's healthbars and the damage from legendaries. And I don't want to have level cap raises. Having 80 skill points makes a lot of builds feel samey. An idea I'm not too sure, but kinda want is to limit the number of legendaries you can equip at the same time, to keep purple weapons relevant. Edit: Also, keep the annointed enemies. Maybe rebalance them, but having enemies that can do anything beyond stand and shoot, or run at you an melee is an improvement. Killavolt made me realize BL players are allergic to any battle tactics that aren't jump around like a spaz while shooting a lot in the general direction of the enemy. Any enemies that make you think, stop, and change your playstyle for a bit are welcome.
I think the thing for me would be being back weapon specific skills. I fell out of BL3, so they might have changed this, but i remember them making a big deal over "no skill only buffs a single weapon type". I orginally thought this was a good idea, but i take it back. All four characters in BL3 basically played the same in end game, high rate of fire automatics. I dont even think there is a good FLAK sniper build for endgame. Give characters weapon proficencies though thier skills, this will not only put more distinction between character playstyles, but also probably make more weapons useful because not everyone will gravitate to the Assault Rifles or SMGs.
I'd like to see the return of raid bosses at the end of DLCs. Maybe divert some of the DLC budget to making a replayable takedown instead of it solely being a 3-hour long campaign that feels like a chore after the first playthrough. Takedowns being free in BL3 was cool, but not having anything at the end of the 4 story DLCs makes them feel way more forgettable.
I would say anoints aren’t a bad thing just that they need to be cheaper to reroll and maybe add a function to increase a guns level at the cost of money or eridium
Annointed enemies didnt bother me. They are pretty ez to take out. Annointments should be easier and cheaper to reroll from the start. It can be Taken out but it wasnt Bad for me. Diálog in background is a good idea.
Anointed enemies and anointments could be reworked to be more fun for the player. You could take a good anointment from a bad weapon and put it on a good weapon with a bad anointment for a price. Anointed enemies could have a shorter or not invincibility phase and don't use the shield as often.
I didn't mind the drop rates being high for the legendaries and having them drop everywhere. Made it easier to farm for the ones that you needed for your build.
The rarity is in getting that item with the right parts. it takes forever to get God roll items if they made it more rare we'd b stuck with whatever trash legendary gear we found.u feel me, like it wouldn't b worth farming.i guess people would just use gibbed if that happened tho lol@@limpyleg1570
@TomCat2563 having high world drop rates on BL3 was necessary because every item had a shitload of variables. Combined With the increased bloating of the loot pools, it made farming for everything insanely hard. Borderlands 2 didn't need crazy high drop rates because most enemies only had 1 drop, not 5. And class mods and relics only had around 3-6 variations, not 7 million.
Hand in hand with Annoints on guns I don’t want to see secondary stats on class mods and artifacts. It gets to the point that exactly like guns the secondary stats can be more important that the item themselves especially when some of them are so good. Continuing with class mods: bring back skill point scaling. By capping skill points by rarity instead of level every rarity except for legendary is utterly irrelevant because you’re leaving valuable skill points on the table, pair that with the special effects of legendaries the other rarities aren’t even worth looking at. I wanna see build variety.
one thing that annoys me a lot is the map size change from bl2 to bl3 bl3 has enormous maps totally empty without a reason... I undertand "the dust" being almost empty being a desert but mostly maps on bl3 are enormous u cant spawn a car, and the feeling of walking continuosly only for make game last longer is permanent
And I was one of the damn fools that got every character to the level caps when they happened. Idk how effective of a marketing tactic it was but it got me.
Honestly the biggest thing i want out of bl4 is some kind of in game gear database for uniqes and above . if you can get just one weapon or peice of gear thats unique youll see it in your gear database along with its drop source and no matter where you are in your game or who your playing as your database will never reset. it would really cut down on having to pause the game just to look at loot lemon.
Loot pool bloating is a 2 part problem. Either the boss has to be challenging enough and offer a good, replayable fight to justify his loot pool and incentivising you to farm him over an over. Or, if it's a simple, early game boss that has no variety, or is relatively weak, to give him very specific guns that drop almost guaranteed This, taking into account that if a boss is hard to kill and has many possible drops, that the drops they do give are decent, not needing to farm it 50 times for the gun to have the right prefix, while the easier boss with less guns drop may get away with farming for the right one
Bro i really want borderlands to to add a quicker way to make new runs, like in the fist run i can accept not being able to skipe dialogue but in the second is kinde annoying, they should make that after completing the mais history for the first time you unlock a fast version with skippable dialogue and whiteout those mini tutorial on the start of the game, and im my opinion about the invincible moments in the game i think that im bosses they can have some random invincible moment, BUT in the normal enemies or sub bosses they should ever be an invincible moment the minimum is a more durable state they are still taking damage but less.
My biggest thing to include would be to adopt something other games have like the division where you can change one of the 3 prefixes on an item cuz getting god rolls on borderlands is like non existent unless you’re a streamer. This would not only help with god rolls but also just help you getting a good/decent roll in general maybe even adding the same thing for weapon parts
The thing about BL3 having such an easier time than any of the other games to drop legendary weapons is because there are simply too many legendary weapons in the game. So instead of having to go through the pain to farm for hours to get a single or few legendary weapons from a single boss like in BL2, the loot pool is so large you may as well never know which one you're gonna get. And hey, if it isn't the legendary you wanted, I have no doubt that some past Borderlands players who just didn't have the luxury to spend hours in their day to get 1 legendary surely appreciated the benefit of just having the chance to actually get something.
@@fine_ol_chap I understand that from 1 perspective, but on the other hand, class mods and artifacts in BL3 are harder to farm than ever. I made a separate video regarding there being too many legendaries. They high drop rates are just a bandaid for the bigger issue at hand of the absolutely f*cked drop pools
remove dedicated drops and location (maybe only give them dedicated cosmetics) remove useless legendaries or keep them but they provide parts or materials we can use to reroll/replace parts of the guns we don't want. Only one part can be replaced and the other parts get locked (similar concept of diablo 3 and materials) endgame: make a gauntlet/raids with each section has a random bosses from the story. Drops will be only at the end. I agree with the rest of the video
About dialogue, ive noticed that in comparesment to previous parts Borderlands 3 constantly throughout the story requires you to go to someone and press talk button to progress.
It's there in BL2 as well, the main difference is most of the time, its short, and on a second playthrough (when you already know the mission flow) you can start traveling to the area before they've stopped talking to 'skip' the dialogue. If you try doing that in BL3 in most cases it just glitches your objectives
NGL, I love the anointed enemies, I don't want to just mow down a load of low tier enemies, it's nice to have a challenging one crop up and make each fight feel like a proper fight.
One thing that I want from borderlands 4 is choice, choice of wanting or not wanting on playthrough launch Like anointement choice Legendary heavy drop or low drop Taking out those two for every player or forcing them feels wrong, giving the option to choose seems like a good idea
The easiest way to fix amointments on weapons is to separate and add them to different items. That way you can farm a specific weapon and a specific anointment item for your build. Same for other prefixies. So you don't have to farm till you die to get the every tiny variable right on your weapon.
4th skill trees were cool, but they functioned so much differently than the original 3 and didn't get nearly as much support class-mod wise. If they're going to take that route again, I'd prefer if they just allocated those resources elsewhere
I would love a couple things 1 fix atlas guns. They suck. The whole shoot with a different ammo you have to switch to is stupid. The first bullet out of the mag should just have that feature by default so if you make your first shot the rest would hit the target . They also could improve the design of the guns. They just look too weird. I also would like player modifiable sights for all non sniper rifles. I think the game should be centered around all four vault hunters being present in the game at all times. Maybe there could be a game mode that allows the non played characters ninja the loot. The playable characters should be included in the cut scenes and be referred to by name and not just "vault hunter"
For me specifically as big bl3 defender get rid legendary heads and just cut back on the amount of legendarys i like the drop rates but there are too many. Just cut like 40 to fifty from the game then im down
I wish they develop more Heros later on in the DlC´s like in Borderlands 2. It was one of the Reasons why I come back so many times. I play some other Characters and see how they play and what they say..... and then I go back to Salvador and enjoy myself.🤣
The solution to a boring grind to max level is a fun and engaging TVHM+Mayhem mode to increase difficulty. I would say that after all of the DLC Borderlands 3 has a perfect grind to max level, just put Mayhem mode on and start playing DLC, you will absolutely hit 72 before finishing all of them. Obviously Borderlands 4 will drop without any DLC so if they make TVHM fun and interesting which they didn’t do in 3 AT ALL I think we’ll be alright. At least I will, I will only ever experience a story once, after that it’s TH-cam all day.
A weapon crafting system would be pretty sweet. Randomness is okay, to a degree. But you could reroll specific parts and effects, like Path of Exile, but uhh less so. And being able to make a well-rolled rare better for a given build than a legendary makes loot more interesting without having to spill forth endless legendaries
Literally can't do that because normies would brick their saves or the game would delete it when they push hotfixes or updates. It's been known since BL1 days why you can't do it
Borderlands 4 needs a chaos mode with a fully customizable difficulty scale. The OP levels or mayhem or whatever should not just change how all enemies behave and their drop rates, but they should lock certain levels and bosses behind OP levels, similar to how ultimate pyro pete and all the seraphim bosses were.
No it needs 3 difficulties to start NM TVHM UVHM With 3rd being the highest drop % and scaled appropriately at +2 lvls of current max lvl Side content needs rifts, trials, Invincible bosses, takedowns, and probably something else we haven't seen before which no clue what that would be. Mayhem mode borked and ruined the end game completely with constant nerfs and then later on buff cycles because they had to re work end game several times. It became a cluster fuck and drove more players away then brought in.
I want farming, to not have to talk to every npcs every 5 minutes, but I would love to see hybrid weapons return those where the best farms in Borderlands.
I think annointments can add a lot of variety to builds, especially if done right. Wonderlands did it right, rerolling isnt as expensive getting the currency is easy and the annoints arent too powerful
3:26 not really about the video (i do mostly agree with it tho, very well put together) but when youre doing that grenade jump skip, i’ve found it to be much easier doing a running jump off the big crate thing behind you instead of trying to get a good vertical right up against the platform
It's fine, as long as they don't make it required like it was in BL2. The It's piss grenade has a similar effect, and I don't mind it, because it's an OPTIONAL damage increase, not borderline required for any kill
one thing i wish they included was a option to turn off HUD. when i turned it off during steam the game became so cool, i wish consoles could do that ALSO PLEASE ADD MORE SKINS, BODYS, AND HEADS. borderlands 2 had so many good customization. bl3 had terrible...
My big wish for Borderlands 4 is to have a variety of worthwhile endgame content. Chaos Chambers were REALLY fun at first, but became exhausting as the only form of endgame. Maliwan Takedown was awesome, but was exhausting when it was the only endgame content in Borderlands 3. I believe in Gearbox's ability to make fun content, the problem is that we need a variety of fun content, otherwise the game will suffer. And hell, giving us a variety of endgame content would fix the bloated loot pool problems as there would actually be enough content for the 300+ legendaries to drop from. I don't want to assume like I know everything about game design, but it can't be too hard to give us 1-2 takedowns, a traditional raid boss, and something like Chaos Chambers. This would fix so many problems in my opinion.
We got two takedowns and a traditional raid boss in 3??? Nvm them making slaughter shafts end game viable, the events that can be turned on or off, and there being around 17ish total raid bosses. They don't have invincible in the name, but they have raid boss health. I'll be honest I genuinely don't think you went back to bl3 and are basing it off your last interaction... Either that or you didn't like the rest which don't matter as it doesn't help your point as the content still exists.
I don't want to see the crouch project shields, let it be a toggle option instead of having to crouch. It's a fun concept but I never get any quality out of it since I only "crouch" to slide
Anointments imo aren't the problem in and of itself...it's the sheer amount and the cost to reroll them. 250 eridium *per reroll* is asinine, especially when there are only around 3-4 universally good anointments a weapon can have, excluding character-specific anoints--god forbid you're trying for a terror anoint. Just last week, I dropped 21k eridium on a single gun for a suitable Terror anoint. Also, loot drops are a mixed bag. I'm personally fine with the legendary drops, but I've heard a lot of people talk about how its shriveling the economy, to which I have two ideas for a solution; bring back the ever-rarer pearlescent weapons, and add some sort of loot slider modifier (maybe like a post-game eridian artifact you can find?). That way, players can choose to either drown in gold and platinum or work for their keep.
I want STRONG snipers, LOOTSPLOSION BY DEFAULT, NO FORM OF BATTLE ROYAL BOTH PVE AND PVP NO BR!!!!! i didnt care to watch the borderlands movie because im new to the franchise bl3 is my first, so i wasnt too interested in the movie and i hear it horrible and seeing how the head of gearbox pitched a fit over someone honest like paul tassi man it really makes me have no hope for bl4 if thats how THE HEAD acts over a little criticism from a diehard fan. really sad.
Can tell your new, no BL game ever had pvp on by default, no BR ever, Lootsplosions has always been a thing for bosses. So ummm yea BL4 will be more of the same with hopefully the lessons they learned from the other games as a whole
IMO, normal mode drop rates for legendaries should be about at 70%~ what they are in 3, and honestly I think in the UVHM/Mayhem equivalent, 3's legendary drop rates are more than justified
What I want is an entirely new set of characters, both protagonists and supporting case, preferably also set on an entirely new planet too. I do not believe that they are capable of reusing old characters without ruining them.
My list: 1. No woke nonsense. (Bl3 wasnt bad) 2. Good story 3. Less legendary drops 4. Legendary weapons higher more rare than the orange legendary stuff. 5. Better farm system. With more dedicated drops. 6. Better end game. 7. A visual pollution slider. 8. Better servers for multiplayer. 9. Something what arm race did, but i want to see more of that. These are fun co-up challenges. 10. 10 different difficulty modes, but you can only obtain them by doing one or 3 different kind of missions. Similar to bl2 but without the completing the story 3 times. And more balanced. 11. Maybe a weapon type that you can actually customise. (Just 1 or 2 weapons) Or at least let us farm for scopes.(Not necessary but is fun) 12. No or less immune faces. 13. More events like the cartel. 14. Maybe less planets so that the game can focus on just a couple of locations making the story less spread and the planet itself more interesting. 15. More characters on dlc release. 16. Maybe turn sanctuary in a actual hub, you can go offline or online. With more to do, like mini games (like card games) Plus a better room custumisation. 17. If the beast master returns, let him hunt for his own companion. Or make it, that each character can have a pet that they have to hunt for. Would be funny (not necessary) This is my personal list. Or just simply Bl3 with a better story. And better loot system Would also do great.
Annointments: I hope they adjust the annointments rather than remove them. It's a fun way to customize builds. Level grind: I would like to see you reach the max level during the course of the game. That would also make every potential drop by an opponent not so incredibly irrelevant. Dialog: Agree 100%. Borderlands has always been an ADHD shooter for me. Waiting hours just for Maya to finally open a door on Athena was extremely annoying. Immunity Phases: Some of them were just messy. I understand why they had to introduce them, but not getting shot feedback from one moment to the next is annoying. My two cents on borderlands: Characters: I think the concept of individual characters is stupid. Why should I level up each character individually and play through the story twice or three times? Why can't I just change my character in Sactuary 3, like you can reset your skill tree? Vehicles: Complete crap in borderlands. You don't need them. TVHM: Has been completely replaced by Mayham. Can go. To be honest, I just hope Borderlands 4 is a nostalgia bomb story-wise and puts a lid on it. I want to see Tina, Krieg, Zero, Gaige and everyone else they haven't removed from their bad story team yet. Add to that a loot shooter that comes close to Borderlands 3 in terms of gameplay and I'm happy. Cheers
you forgot another thing, pearl weapons, pearl weapons are the most rarest weapons to find/earn from special types of enemies/bosses/raidbosses; like the butcher, carnage, bekah, ol betsy, tsunami etc, players really love pearls and they would rather have op weapons from BL1-2 go from legendary to pearls cus of their op-ness take this as examples; double unkempt herald, norfleet, sandhawk, pimpernal, twister, infinity, ladyfist, etc players know some of these weapons are op depending on what build/class you are to making them work, nothing can beat a pearl rarity cus its that rare, (seraphs are kinda rare but only obtained via raidbosses and seraph blackmarket)
All pearls sucked forever and ever. There has never ever been a case where they were good. It was nothing more then the barrel that gave it the color rarity of pearl it was like that in BL1 and 2. It's a fake rarity
my thoughts (adding on ideas that i have or i think are good from the comments): 1. i dont have any on the endgame grind, becus i rarely play to max lv, or on endgame lv dificultys (wonderlands 100 endgame lv does sound obnoxious) 2. i did not know red chests have a 30 min timer, but that explains alot, so yes pls get rid of that 3. imunity phases suck 4. dialog is defo way too long on repeated playthrus 5. nobody wants the story to act "cool" 6. More visual gags, less quips 7. i think the drop rates are fine, means less grinding, becus some people have things to do! 8. PLEASE STOP WITH THE DLC FOR SIR HAMMERLOCK, IT IS THE WORST DLC FOR THE GAMES THAT HAVE IT 9. please let the main game story have the same quality as the REST of the dlc (maybe post bl1) 10. let endgame be for hardcore players, and the rest be for casual ones that DONT WANT TO GRIND and just have a good time TBH, like half of your problems are very endgame ones, not ones a casual player will have problems with. thats fine, i just dont want the game to be designed around endgame. I dont have probelms with anointments as they are not the make or break of base game, anointed enemies seam just a little tanky, and i rarely have to grind for lvs.
Unrealistically: I don't want a Borderlands game with Randy Pitchford and his ideas or seemingly random changes muddled into the game, he seems to grow more and more out of touch with his own franchise and it shows. I don't want needless retconning of the plot, character assassinations (in both the literal sense and personality wise) or returning characters that have died to be somehow resurrected just to be made a half baked husk. I don't want New Tales from The Borderlands to be canon. For the love of god I beg: do not let the plot of this game have effects on the main titles. I don't want Claptrap to be bullied like he was in BL3, the end of the Claptrap part scavenger quest just felt excessive. Realistically: I don't want Borderlands 4 to have micro transactions beyond the DLC costumes I don't want annointed enemies or annointments I don't want high eridium costs for entry to Raid Bosses I don't want another Sanctuary 3 and the M.C. Esher painting that is trying to explore it somedays.
No more awful balancing or terrible loot level scaling. More like BL1, BL2 and TPS, and less like BL3. In the first few games, loot levels were scaled to add roughly 2 levels, so a lvl10 white and a lvl8 green and a lvl6 blue were similar in power. And legendary loot was scaled to be 2 levels better than purple, but with weird effects that typically made it more powerful in limited uses (like more powerful projectiles that moved slower or were less accurate). In BL3, some legendary loot could be dozens of levels higher than other legendaries, and all of it was several levels more than purples, making everything else worthless, including the majority of legendaries, but definitely purples and unique purple/blue items. What's the point of having those levels if the moment you find a single orange, you can ignore everything else for a dozen levels??
Gearbox added different gun stats to different gun parts when you inspect a gun, but you can't change the parts. What's up with that? How cool would it be to mix and match gun parts, or at the very least reroll gun parts or guns in general
This has always been a thing since BL1 you just couldn't see the stats unless you had Willowtree. Also if you changed stuff it would break the gun, nade, shield and how it works fundamentally to corrupting your save file, wouldn't do the intended effect or bug out completely where it deletes itself from the game. It's been known for 20yrs on why you can't do it
My feelings on anointments are mixed. I like that they give an extra layer to build crafting and would miss that if they are removed. Should they be locked behind RNG, however? No. I like the solution of making them farmable attachments to weapons/items. That would actually allow us to have our cake and eat it. Speaking of RNG, Gearbox seriously needs to change how class mods and artefacts work. If, say, I want a Cutpurse Launch Pad with 3 specific stat drops, well, yeah, good luck with that. I either mod it in or farm the same source 10,000 times for a chance at it. Let us either craft these items or reroll specific parts of them at a low cost.
@ConstantCanadian they always been random 🙄 like dude just mod it to the stats you want. We been doing it since 360 days and Willowtree was a thing. Is it ideal? No I'd opt for a re roll system in game but who knows
@zonedout3390 they've been random tiers. But if I got a Ninja mod for example, I knew for a FACT it would boost my melee damage. That isn't the case in Borderlands 3, I could get a fl4k class mod with +11% combat xp, +7 grenade cap, +44% fire resistance, it's sucks and makes farming for any of those items painful. Modding items in isn't an answer to over RNGification.
Loot to me is a very easy fix. Borderlands 2 for the base game, leave people wanting more you know? But when we get to whatever the end game is I want insane lootsplosions at the highest levels. I’m talking release week Graveward levels of nonsense from every boss, reward us for playing at the highest level.
Yknow they could fix loot bloat and excessive drops by idk....... not having 5000 legendaries. So many could not exist or be rolled into a unique or another legendary.
The only reason I was sorta okay with the legendary drop rates being insane was just because anointments exist, If both go at the same time, then I'd be way happier with the grind overall. Keep in mind I was playing prior to the reroll system but even then I just don't like them being there lol, getting the gun plus right attachments is enough as it is. Also unsure how much more fun it is to swap the dedicated loot target with grinding Eridium to reroll.
What I don't want? The artificial inflation of the number of guns it has. From the very first game boasting of its 3 million guns, they have constantly one upped that number, by... increasing the number of parts the guns have, and each part having an increased number of variants. There's npopoint in having a trillion guns, if you don't even pick them up. White guns? Not even worth picking up to sell ,as money is so abundant, that I had 134x the maximum displayable amount of cash by the end of my last playthrough, and completing challenges for collecting or selling weapons, only grants you a tiny amount of eridium, instead of badass ranks, which makes the challenges worthless. We need less guns, not more, and less variation in the guns.
I agree fully, I get that it's a looter shooter, but there shouldn't be 300+ legendary weapons. especially considering theres at most 100 drop sources in the game
I hope that the best gear isn't world drops or easily accessible; huge problem for BL3. Make the best stuff a reward for the raid bosses to it feels like you earn something with each and make those bosses legitimately difficult (not just bullet sponges)
Why do you care if it's easily accessible or not? You don't play with everyone in the game at the same time. How you want to play is fine but don't push your agenda to others on how they want to play a game they paid for in a pve only game with optional multiplayer attached on the side. Boohoo a person who plays 10hrs a day gets a good drop, get to grinding just like they did. Their drop and playstyle has no effect on you what so ever
I disagree with the level grind thing. I don't think it needs to be as long as it was in 2 but a level grind helps you understand and play around with your character more so by the time you do hit max level you already know or have an idea of what you want to do with your character. I'm not fond of the idea of rushing and shoehorning players to endgame personally.
Borderlands, a game about big evil corporations so out of touch with reality that eventually fall to greed and insanity. Sounds familiar

(Didn't mean the company as a whole just Randy Pitchford)
One of the things people don’t talk about is that yes BL3 drops too many legendary items but the real issue is so many legendary weapons are pretty bad and are just left on the ground. If an item is truly legendary it shouldn’t suck.
I think part of the issue is there is just too many different legendary weapons in BL3. There are more LEGENDARY weapons in BL3 than there are UNIQUE weapons in any other Borderlands game, pair that with poor balancing, and the loot pool bloating I mentioned in this video, and it leads to a very unsatisfactory farming experience
@@ConstantCanadian great job BTW
I feel as though the bad legendary weapons could have their rarities brought down to purples and uniques.
Literally more than 3/4 of legendaries are viable at endgame in Bl3.
Yeah going from 2 to 3 was wild. Particularly jumping back into my LV 72 Zane build, my god I couldn't see anything.
Yea, it was strange how there was a very specific siren limit that was just ignored in 3. Unless I'm being dumb, I'm pretty sure that before the 1st siren dies in 3, there are already 6 sirens that we know of. So they just added more
I’d be ok with them ignoring close to 100% of the lore that takes place after BL2
The Core Combat loop is everything to me. A story that isn't cringe would also be nice.

The entire universe still feels so small and i want to see more of it
It will be pretty similar to bl3 if they use the same engine
@@WhatASausage179 i think that's fine, but it's how they use it which will determine how good it is. Like using the same graphics and gameplay type as bl3 is fine to me, but its what they add/change to it which will determine its depth

The world and lore has barely been fleshed out in 15 years. It peaked in the stretch of borderlands 2-tps-tales from 2012-2015 but feels like it’s stalled since then

Top 5 things I don't want from Borderlands 4:
1- Lilith
2- Ava
3- Marcus' ponytail
4- Borderlands 3 and New Tales From the Borderlands writers
5- Ava
You forgot Ava
@@sonictelephone1526 Oh thanks, let me add Ava to that list
add Ava
I agree except that I'd like Lilith to still be in the game. Just add more variety to quests so your not talking to her so much
I liked the drop rates for legendaries only because I think Red Text adds interesting quirks to guns.
For anointments maybe they should have just given us the ability to actually purchases specific anointments for a weapon with iridium.
What I do want is a workbench. Some system to change attachments, store a reasonable amount, but some with a resonable cost exchange.
"Borderlands has always been about farming specific gear from its specific source"
Meanwhile the first game in the series literally only had world drops
what i hate the most, is being forced to bo back and forth during mission ends. what i want, is that when a mission ends, it just lets you go forward immediately without having to go back to sanctuary etc.

High drop rates = not getting burnout on killing the same annoying enemy and having to quit save constantly. That’s the plus side. The more adult you get the less time you have so it saves any kind of headache.
This. I'm fine with Mayhem 10 drop rates. Most of the weapons just suck
Just wasted almost 10 hours farming for badaboom in bl2 so yea i agree. Also consoles suffer from loading times so if i want a legendary all that farming and loading screen wait = 200h

@@lemurking1550 True, they shouldn't drop like candy but on a MAX hard mode, they should have a reasonable drop chance
True, but what I found is that the community for these types of games are actually older individuals. I've met a bunch of 40 year old dad's on games like Destiny, Borderlands, and other looter shooters.
Bring back raid bosses and pearlessence
Everescence better from last bl2 dlc lol
I want the eridian alien gins back from bl1
Anointed enemies won't be in 4, at least in the same form since the guy that makes them is dead lol. Anointments are so annoying though, they're too expensive to reroll and build, and getting the perfect ones are so difficult.
Maybe just make it so we can choose our own annoints instead of randomly giving us one
That's mostly the point. Grinding for perfect gear IS the game.
Bring back the Badass enemies.
@guffingtonreal I just want Anointments to be more Minor. Like a 5% buff here or there. Having them grant upto an extra 300% damage is stupid
@@armyofninjas9055agreed. I don’t know what these people are talking about. The entire point of the game is grinding not only to get particular weapons, but particular weapons with specific mutations and stuff. It just adds extra layers of replayability.
What i don't wanna see in Borderlands 4:
Cash Shop, Progress Gates (mostly locked behind a paywall), Time Gates (mostly locked behind a paywall), Seasons, Skins (thos who can only be obtained with real Money), Lootboxes or Crates, No Virtuell Currency, No need to be permanent connected to the internet, NO LIVE-SERVICE mechanics!!! no items locked behind a paywall like Weapons or upgrades, modules. we have had enough of those greedy criminal tactics.
NO AVA AND NO LAME VILLAINS
@@Funkertruppenava is the leader of the crimson raiders so ur prob gonna see her just a bit🤏
most of what you said isnt a part of Gearbox and wont come to a Borderlands game anyway, so most of it is redundant to list. having to pay for weapons and such is normal, but in the sense of a full fleshed out DLC as well as incentive. having to pay for skins isnt a necessary part of the game as skins are only cosmetics, so if you pay for them, it's not "pay to win".
Just let me click on the objective and get this show on the road!!
new endgame rarities with borderlands 1 drop rate with borderlands 2 story telling with borderlands 3 mechanics.
The only problem with anoyntments is that they are fucking expensive to re-roll, i mean 250 eridium is so much, 50 would have been better.
My hopes for bl4-
1.Have the quality of story and characters form bl2.
2. Keep the skill tree aspect from bl3
3.Bring back the glorious grinder
4.Bring back some weapon that got cut from bl3 like Hyperion pistols tourgue assault rifles and other
5.Have a good range of dlc and extra content that isn’t repetitive
6.Not have levels locked behind paywalls
@@darkosiris09 Hyperion Pistols could get several barrels that act like a pocket SMG or pocket magnum. ADD MORE GOOD STUFF, NOT REMOVE GOOD THINGS!
My list for Bl4:
-Story that doesn't ignore previous installments.
-Skippable dialogue/cutscenes after seeing/hearing them once.
-Make TVHM matter.
-No UVHM (or make it that TVHM becomes UVHM after the final story mission is complete, like in Borderlands 1)
-Lower Max level (we don't need a repeat of what happened to 2 and 3. A good max level would be around 65)
-No extreme enemy HP/Shield/Armor increases for higher difficulties.
-More immersiveness (Examples:
•Enemies can wield whatever gun or shield they want, with the rarity increasing for the type of weapon.
Raid bosses included as well, if they're a human or robot.)
-Radiation rework: Irradiated enemies take +20% damage from guns and grenades
-Return of some gear: Ironclad, Rose, Redemption, Reaper, Bulldog, Striker, Bonus Package, Lascaux and Fridgia, T4s-r, Laser of Enlightenment, Boganella, Law and Order, Sham, Lady Finger/Fist, Patriot, Actualizer, Hydra, Captain Blade's arsenal, Hammer Buster, Defiler, Firehawk, Avenger, Jackal, Bessie, Hawkeye, this list is too damn long. You get the drill.
-Mayhem rework (in case UVHM isn't an option): Mayhem mode is obtainable after the second playthrough is completed. It's an optional way to play a harder difficulty, with some weapons being locked to it. There are no health and shield increases, but instead some modifiers. (Here are some I thought of:
•Psycho enemies may drop a live grenade when killed. Badasses drop grenades with a larger radius. Grenades are random elements.
•Enemies have a higher chance to dodge when shot at.
•Close range enemies move 30% faster.
•New enemies, some I could think of: armored psychos, elite bandits that may switch weapons under circumstances, Eridian skags, and explosive rakk.)
-Anointment reworks. They are minor bonuses to guns, grenades, and shields will only appear in the second playthrough and afterward. (They are:
*Guns:*
•10% chance to ignore shields
•-15% gun recoil and +10% accuracy
•8% chance to not use ammo when firing
•+5% increased DoT chance
•+15% movement speed
*Grenades:*
•10% chance for grenade to not be consumed upon use
*Shields:*
•Enemy damage reduced by 10% when shields are up
•+15% movement speed when shield is broken
•Enemies killed return 5% of the shield's max capacity (takes shield capacity boosts and returned shield capacity from possible skills into consideration)
-Simplified class mods.
(Some ideas are:
•Aiming down sights in FFYL
•Ground pounds can be done at the apex of the character's jump
•Health regen after second winds
•Increased multiplayer revive speed
•Increased slide speed)
•Double jump
-A developer report button for bugs, and more support in general
That's probably all of it.

And your mentality towards it shows that we can't have actual challenging content without casual players complaining and getting it nerfed like in Wonderlands.
every point in this comment is wrong.
@@jojorooski Can you explain, because it isn't.
tbh, i think the main problem is that this vid is from a hardcore player, not a casual one
Dude if I were a game director I would be SPAMMING these kinds of videos
The info for how to make BL4 great is out there, if Gearbox messes it up, than they truly are just too far gone
@@sooperspeedy the lack of DLC raid bosses really hurt BL3 imo. They need to bring it back
I would say anoints aren’t a bad thing just that they need to be cheaper to reroll and maybe add a function to increase a guns level at the cost of money or eridium
atleast we wont have to talk to lilith anymore
She's going to be the main focus of 4.
Get ready for the sequel: "Talk to Ava"
Evil Lilith is the epitome of a bad boss with horrible immune phases
Annointed enemies didnt bother me. They are pretty ez to take out. Annointments should be easier and cheaper to reroll from the start. It can be Taken out but it wasnt Bad for me. Diálog in background is a good idea.
Anointed enemies and anointments could be reworked to be more fun for the player. You could take a good anointment from a bad weapon and put it on a good weapon with a bad anointment for a price. Anointed enemies could have a shorter or not invincibility phase and don't use the shield as often.
I do not want to see online only MP. The 4 player split screen is the best part of the franchise, IMO.
I didn't mind the drop rates being high for the legendaries and having them drop everywhere. Made it easier to farm for the ones that you needed for your build.
it entirely defeats the purpose of rarity then
I think keep or increase high dedicated drop rates, but decrease world drop rates for every mob except loot/chubby enemies
@@Quartings this
The rarity is in getting that item with the right parts. it takes forever to get God roll items if they made it more rare we'd b stuck with whatever trash legendary gear we found.u feel me, like it wouldn't b worth farming.i guess people would just use gibbed if that happened tho lol@@limpyleg1570
I wanna see build variety.
one thing that annoys me a lot is the map size change from bl2 to bl3
bl3 has enormous maps totally empty without a reason...
I undertand "the dust" being almost empty being a desert
but mostly maps on bl3 are enormous u cant spawn a car, and the feeling of walking continuosly only for make game last longer is permanent
i want bl4 to tell us that new tales from the borderlands wasn't canon. that revival crystal is so stupid
Or, if it's a simple, early game boss that has no variety, or is relatively weak, to give him very specific guns that drop almost guaranteed
This, taking into account that if a boss is hard to kill and has many possible drops, that the drops they do give are decent, not needing to farm it 50 times for the gun to have the right prefix, while the easier boss with less guns drop may get away with farming for the right one
They should have another rarity then, like pearlescent in BL2. I feel that would honestly fix a lot of the loot problems.
remove dedicated drops and location (maybe only give them dedicated cosmetics)
remove useless legendaries or keep them but they provide parts or materials we can use to reroll/replace parts of the guns we don't want. Only one part can be replaced and the other parts get locked (similar concept of diablo 3 and materials)
endgame: make a gauntlet/raids with each section has a random bosses from the story.
I mean, Anointed enemies alone are fine, but the frequency in which they spawn is just way too much
One thing that I want from borderlands 4 is choice, choice of wanting or not wanting on playthrough launch
Like anointement choice
Legendary heavy drop or low drop
Taking out those two for every player or forcing them feels wrong, giving the option to choose seems like a good idea
The easiest way to fix amointments on weapons is to separate and add them to different items. That way you can farm a specific weapon and a specific anointment item for your build. Same for other prefixies. So you don't have to farm till you die to get the every tiny variable right on your weapon.
They should honestly be tied to weapon trinkets in some way or another
@@ConstantCanadian good solution.
4th skill trees were cool, but they functioned so much differently than the original 3 and didn't get nearly as much support class-mod wise. If they're going to take that route again, I'd prefer if they just allocated those resources elsewhere
bl4 announced august 20-22 mark my words
That's what I've been saying. I think a Gamescom reveal very well could be in the pipe
@@pepsistealerguitar4944 that's what I've been hoping for. I guess we will find out soon
For a game that's so dialog heavy we definitely need a dialog skip option! Especially if 4 has the same writers as 3.
It's been known since BL1 days why you can't do it
@@zonedout3390 BL1 is a different game though. Crafting systems aren't impossible, they're common.
Bro, BL2 Fix has made BL2 a brand new game, especially since you can play it with other overhauls.
No it needs 3 difficulties to start
NM
TVHM
UVHM
With 3rd being the highest drop % and scaled appropriately at +2 lvls of current max lvl
Side content needs rifts, trials, Invincible bosses, takedowns, and probably something else we haven't seen before which no clue what that would be.
I WANT a ship system that follows the usual loot mechanics but with some nice sized ships. Not just some dinky fat mining friget with a heart of gold.
I agree the immunity phases suck and combined with the dialogue it makes main story boss become torture
I think annointments can add a lot of variety to builds, especially if done right.
Wonderlands did it right, rerolling isnt as expensive getting the currency is easy and the annoints arent too powerful
Kevin Hart must be a playable character at launch
The game was easy, and I ignored the anointed weapons. Anointed enemies just meant ignore damage type weaknesses and buffs.
3:26 not really about the video (i do mostly agree with it tho, very well put together) but when youre doing that grenade jump skip, i’ve found it to be much easier doing a running jump off the big crate thing behind you instead of trying to get a good vertical right up against the platform
@@spicycystak that was my first playthrough of BL2 in 5 years so I was a bit rusty of course. Thanks for the heads up though
- Slag.
I sure dont want to see that.
For the love of God.
It's fine, as long as they don't make it required like it was in BL2. The It's piss grenade has a similar effect, and I don't mind it, because it's an OPTIONAL damage increase, not borderline required for any kill
one thing i wish they included was a option to turn off HUD. when i turned it off during steam the game became so cool, i wish consoles could do that ALSO PLEASE ADD MORE SKINS, BODYS, AND HEADS. borderlands 2 had so many good customization. bl3 had terrible...
i hope raid bosses are more like the Maliwan takedown rather than the shitty bl2 raid bosses where you just walk in and fight them.
I think it's healthy to have both. They were both received well by the community so no point in only going forward with 1 option.
Red chests in vaults infuriates me. They almost never have anything I want. I've got hundreds of hours in bdl3 so 4 better be pretty captivating.
I wish theyd remove annoits, absolutely destroys weapon balance and makes grinding for grolls more of a nightmare than they currently are.
They fixed that sort of by increasing Eridium drop rates but it would be better fixed if it was less Eridium the reload
I want STRONG snipers, LOOTSPLOSION BY DEFAULT, NO FORM OF BATTLE ROYAL BOTH PVE AND PVP NO BR!!!!! i didnt care to watch the borderlands movie because im new to the franchise bl3 is my first, so i wasnt too interested in the movie and i hear it horrible and seeing how the head of gearbox pitched a fit over someone honest like paul tassi man it really makes me have no hope for bl4 if thats how THE HEAD acts over a little criticism from a diehard fan. really sad.

@@zonedout3390 dude arms race is literally pve battle royal. How thick can you get?!!!

My list:
1. No woke nonsense. (Bl3 wasnt bad)
2. Good story
3. Less legendary drops
(Just 1 or 2 weapons) Or at least let us farm for scopes.(Not necessary but is fun)
With more to do, like mini games (like card games)
Plus a better room custumisation.
17. If the beast master returns, let him hunt for his own companion. Or make it, that each character can have a pet that they have to hunt for. Would be funny (not necessary)
This is my personal list.
Or just simply
Bl3 with a better story.
My two cents on borderlands:
Characters: I think the concept of individual characters is stupid.
Cheers
you forgot another thing, pearl weapons, pearl weapons are the most rarest weapons to find/earn from special types of enemies/bosses/raidbosses; like the butcher, carnage, bekah, ol betsy, tsunami etc, players really love pearls and they would rather have op weapons from BL1-2 go from legendary to pearls cus of their op-ness
take this as examples; double unkempt herald, norfleet, sandhawk, pimpernal, twister, infinity, ladyfist, etc players know some of these weapons are op depending on what build/class you are to making them work, nothing can beat a pearl rarity cus its that rare, (seraphs are kinda rare but only obtained via raidbosses and seraph blackmarket)
All pearls sucked forever and ever. There has never ever been a case where they were good.
It was nothing more then the barrel that gave it the color rarity of pearl it was like that in BL1 and 2. It's a fake rarity
@@zonedout3390 maybe some are just unbalanced at the time and yet bl modders just improves and make it better, thats just my opinion

Totally calculated, lol
my thoughts (adding on ideas that i have or i think are good from the comments):
1. i dont have any on the endgame grind, becus i rarely play to max lv, or on endgame lv dificultys (wonderlands 100 endgame lv does sound obnoxious)
2. i did not know red chests have a 30 min timer, but that explains alot, so yes pls get rid of that
3. imunity phases suck
4. dialog is defo way too long on repeated playthrus
5. nobody wants the story to act "cool"
6. More visual gags, less quips
7. i think the drop rates are fine, means less grinding, becus some people have things to do!
8. PLEASE STOP WITH THE DLC FOR SIR HAMMERLOCK, IT IS THE WORST DLC FOR THE GAMES THAT HAVE IT
9. please let the main game story have the same quality as the REST of the dlc (maybe post bl1)
10. let endgame be for hardcore players, and the rest be for casual ones that DONT WANT TO GRIND and just have a good time
TBH, like half of your problems are very endgame ones, not ones a casual player will have problems with. thats fine, i just dont want the game to be designed around endgame.
I dont have probelms with anointments as they are not the make or break of base game, anointed enemies seam just a little tanky, and i rarely have to grind for lvs.
Unrealistically:
I don't want a Borderlands game with Randy Pitchford and his ideas or seemingly random changes muddled into the game, he seems to grow more and more out of touch with his own franchise and it shows.
Realistically:
I don't want Borderlands 4 to have micro transactions beyond the DLC costumes
I don't want annointed enemies or annointments
I don't want high eridium costs for entry to Raid Bosses
I don't want another Sanctuary 3 and the M.C. Esher painting that is trying to explore it somedays.
Solution for Anointed enemies: Ember's Purge.
I honestly don’t even want a Borderlands 4. I feel like it would do Gearbox good to put a cap on the franchise and move on to something else.
Let's see what happens with BL4 first.
If it goes poorly I do believe they could wrap it up in dlcs then do a reboot for the next game.
Bro just made a list of every bl3 feature and said “please don’t do that”. Lmao great video.
Bl3 suck

@@lunanyx8592 nah man, that shit drives me insane, couldn't be me
Gearbox added different gun stats to different gun parts when you inspect a gun, but you can't change the parts.
It's been known for 20yrs on why you can't do it
Damn man the timing of this vid
Yes the randomized class mods and artifacts system really doesn't work in this game. At least not the way it currently is
@ConstantCanadian they always been random 🙄 like dude just mod it to the stats you want. We been doing it since 360 days and Willowtree was a thing.
Is it ideal? No
I'd opt for a re roll system in game but who knows
Exactly this, I did a whole video on this subject, but youtube didn't like it very much
The only reason I was sorta okay with the legendary drop rates being insane was just because anointments exist, If both go at the same time, then I'd be way happier with the grind overall. Keep in mind I was playing prior to the reroll system but even then I just don't like them being there lol, getting the gun plus right attachments is enough as it is. Also unsure how much more fun it is to swap the dedicated loot target with grinding Eridium to reroll.
@@AnthosTheLegend way less fun. The endgame is about farming eridium now
What I don't want?
Fair enough. I don't necessarily have a huge issue with it BL3, but my main issue is with the insane 10+ hour level grind in BL2
