Another reviewer, Foam Quest, who reviewed the raid chronographed his and he got ranges from 115-152, average of 137 from 7 shots. So it's not consistent but it does hit the 150 FPS benchmark.
Interesting to see this, I bought the duel fire pack and returned it since I realized I... didn't want to pay for it haha. But I think the dual pack is a great gift or entry bit.
Great review and interesting note regarding the Ghost's double/triple feeding issues. Ive experienced the same thing, currently designing fixes for that issue as well as a different barrel extension to improve accuracy. Ive found it helps not to fully load the hopper, as well as load it really fast (fast prime action). It does reach 200fps which is awesome, and the spring can be easily upgraded. Ive contacted Nerf about the feeding issues and inaccuracy, but no reply yet.
@@raylayrr Check the below comment, but I've also had great success cutting part of the spring guide, 3d printing spacers (or finding round plastic Lego rims/tires) to go inside the plunger and before the spring. The cut portion of the spring guide is how much of a spacer you can add. This adds compression to the spring without needing to buy another one. With the ghost being pretty simple, a harder spring should work too, if you can find one (and if you do, feel free to let me know which one lol), but i wouldn't recommend doing the spacer method with anything that uses plastic gears, as you can strip the gears. Ask me how i know. I am also still experiencing the double/triple feed issue; and i really do not know why. The only thing i can think of is that gel beads are not "soaking" long enough, and the smaller size causes a few of them to slip down the barrel at a time, instead of just one. If anyone has ideas, I would love to know!
My son had his friend over this weekend so I bought the pair of pistols for them , they loved them and they have great fun, well worth the £22 uk I paid for them.
You need to broaden your horizons and search some where other than Amazon….some of the most well made and powerful blasters available are spring powered from shotguns that reach out at 290 fps with nylon and metal construction to bolt action snipers with a 30 yard range at 300 fps
Kinda feel like the duel wield pistols are supposed to be your last resort and you're probably not gonna be going for 40ft shots, but it was still nice to see the accuracy and ability of those 2 little pistols.
Honestly, I think the duel wield pistols are supposed to be the "Value option" you get for your kids who wont shut up about the new nerf gel guns. It comes with two pairs of eyewear and everything.
Had the same problem with the Ghost at first the shots came out broken or double I thought it was defective. Then I noticed I was using some old hydrated rounds I had but where smaller than fresh new ones. Then I made some new gel balls waited the recommended 3-4 hours and they shot great no problem. Changed the whole experience with the gun. Make sure to hydrate the gel balls 3-4 hours then try the test again it should be way better.
@@RattlesnakeRCandHobbies Yeah I’m using the ones included the Nerf orange ones. Try to make sure the gellets are new and hydrate them 3-4 hours until they are their full size. This blaster doesn’t like the gellets being smaller than what it was made to accept hydrating them 3-4 hours will make them the right size. Make sure you apply enough water because if you add too many when they hydrate they will take up more space and stick out of the water. Make sure they are all submerged for the full 3-4 hours check on them occasionally to see that they are all submerged. If you reuse old gellets they may look the right size by eye but if they are are kept out of water they will not be their correct full size. If you try that and still don’t work maybe the blaster is defected and return.
It seems like the hopper issue with the ghost is similar to the mystic I really wish they learned their lesson, I noticed the glow in the dark gel blaster rounds are a little stronger and more firm maybe those would work better.
The barrel is not just an aesthetic. It actually has a hop up in it for distance… so if you don’t have the barrel attachment on, you don’t have the hop up just look down it you can see the hop up in it. But if you take it off, you just have a straight metal barrel with a lot more in accuracy.
Anakin doing a full transparent review on these was awesome Two double action blasters? A spring, double action nerf product that compact sounds excellent, thanks
Depends on the local climate. I’d had some out in my yard stay hydrated for weeks in Ohio in the spring time. I’m sure if it’s hot and dry out it’d probably only be hours.

Not a fan of gel whatsoever. Building microplastics pollution into the backbone of the product isn't something I wish to contribute to, in addition to the mess and fuss, plus the obstruction of sightlines. These do have a nice aesthetic, though.

Thanks for the review this made me make good informed purchase decision

The gelfire ghost the priming handle does have a chance to snap off, but while my time using it it was really fun for me and my friends

How do I upgrade the spring?
You need to open the screws on the gun and put a similarly sized spring but it needs to be harder to compress for farther shooting

if you buy a gelblaster, you should buy the SURGE

My nerf raid tends to shoot two at once all the time. Is this normal or did we both get unlucky.

the design of the blasters is nice.
I want to know how to modify the ghost. Make it a real sniper rifle.
Cool

Kudos for being transparent and unbiased
So what attachments could you put on the guns? I just got the Legion and I want to see it I could use anything
Not compatible with any attachments since they’re not nerf dart blasters.
Group review is a good idea for these... Hmmm
The Nerf blaster designer needs to be fired and the gelfire blaster designer hired in his or her place
Anyone know how long it takes for the gels to evaporate? Is it a couple hours or days?!
