    You make great informative useful videos. I just got a Haoqi Black Leopard, shares many parts with this Cyrusher; motor, display, front forks, handlebars, rack, front light with no horn but a rear brake light. My first e-bike. Initial riding is WOW. Pedal-assist kicks in like a mule set at 1. Throttle is very linear, easy to control. AND it is easy to ride. I rode bikes all my life, including motorcycles. Got an e-bike as I hope to use for riding around town & the many trails in our area. Working on a video review as there are no Haoqi independent reviews yet. One downside is no technical customer support, manual has many errors & is for a different controller. I found an S700 manual online that explains a lot. Keep riding & sharing.

    Many yeas ago when I used to ride bicycles on the canal toe path, when I came across any walkers I would shout out BEEP BEEPQ really loud. Never needed a horn or a bell. Great vid by the way.....

    I have a Himiway which has a nice integrated bell. However there have been many times that a bell is not loud enough. I'll give a first ring, then a second and then at the third ring it is so close that the walker is surprised and jumps. If they are not custom to bike paths and not thinking in time they jump into my bikes path. By that time I've come close to a stop to avoid the collision but it's annoying. A distant loud horn makes sense.

    • @CitizenCycle925
      @CitizenCycle925  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually hurt my ears, the speaker faces the rider, I can't imagine hitting this horn all the time.

      @@CitizenCycle925 I think I would use it in just certain situations. I just now came back from a ride where I rang my bell 4 times. The lady had a dog which I came close to clipping. on the 4th ring she gasped and pulled the leash. I was under the 15mph limit so it's not like I'm flying. Having both bell and horn would be nice.

    Another great review done again citizan my favorite thing by far on this bike is hot they ran the wires through the top tub of the frame and kept the controller inside the frame as well .those shifters rock I have shifters similar to those on my $3600 specialized bike .similar in how they work .
    The fenders also have that metal look to them too !
    It looks stellar and this maybe a bike that I consider buying and wished I took a closer look at b4 buying the Rad though I do like the fact that Rad is so easily upgradeable in just about all points of the bike.
    The handle bars are also a big plus.
    I'd really like to see a range test and see how far one can realistically ride on one charge .
    Thanks again for another awesome review and great call on adding foam saving the controller from taking a beating too !
    Merry Christmas .👍😁

    This was after saving what to me was a huge amount of money- I am very poor and I consider even 100-200 to be a lot money.
    This bike was years old saving and loans to get for £1800 roughly. I was so excited till today when it was marked dispatched then….. suddenly seller messages saying they don’t have any XF650 would I take the smaller folding one instead since they MIGHT have them? I said no, how long to get the bike that was listed as being in stock and I have paid for- they said “end of month probably” (not encouraging language).
    I then noticed the manufacturer direct have 3 in stock in the U.K. and so does a seller on eBay, so I’m trying to get the refund from the seller who sold me something he doesn’t actually have. Also he sold at a £100 markup - so when I get my money back (ALL my money, savings everything) then I will buy again from the manufacturer directly on credit card.
    Any advice from anyone else?

      Even with the seat all the way down? Thing is, These frames (Like on most fat tire ebikes out there) are not actually that big, Around 17 or 18 inches which normally for someone of your height is prefect, But they all commonly come with super thick wheels and tires that exaggerates the height. After watching the review my thought are this is not bad. Cyrusher is usually on the pricey side for what you get but 1600 is not bad for a bike that tops out at 30. I was really only expecting it to do 25. Thinking maybe it has the bigger motor in that casing.

    • @CitizenCycle925
      @CitizenCycle925  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is sort of a tough question. In terms of performance and power the Cyrusher destroys the Rad, and for pretty much the same money you get some upgrades over the rad. However the Radrover is a more approachable friendly bike in terms of power delivery, it's very tame, great for beginners, and since they sell so many it probably has stronger aftermarket support. It depends what criteria you are looking at..

    Bike Horn Thoughts: More helpful user feedback suggestions ... maybe? Personally, I think that the electric horn feature is, in principle, a Great Idea. Really! My suggestion is to modify the horn 'button' so that it can be operated in a couple of different ways. Allow me to illustrate the CitizenCycle (patent pending) bike horn. #1 - You're zipping along one afternoon on your favourite greenway trail, and there's some folks up ahead quietly chatting. Given the context, you sound the horn by giving the button a standard light push ... a friendly bell chime sounds (Horn Mode 1). The folks up ahead, now alerted, step back out of the way, smiles abound as they give a wave and you pass on through. All is good. #2 - You're on you're way back home after that epic afternoon. You now find yourself hustling through your neighbourhood streets trying not to be late; others (in cars) are in a hurry as well. There's a lot more traffic at this time of day. You're rounding a turn just when you see a car clipping along in your direction. Then ... at exactly the wrong time ... some kids that you hadn't noticed, that were chasing each other, are now gunning towards the street ... completely unaware. With no time to spare you instinctively slam the horn. You give the horn button a very deliberate HARD PUSH this time (you feel the button click down once and then click a second time down further with that added push). This HARD PUSH activates Horn Mode 2 whereupon the horn blasts its much more serious ... almost foreboding ... loud warning. You swerve out of the way, the alerted driver hits the brakes, and the kids ... IMMEDIATELY ... stop in their tracks (one of them even pees in their pants). A few seconds later, once the dust has settled, you see that the kids are OK (aside from a little embarrassment) , you give a wave to the driver of the car, and carry on home. All is good.

    • @CitizenCycle925
      @CitizenCycle925  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've been eyeballing the full suspension Cyrusher so this video is a great help, thank you. I have been wondering though if it bothers you that there doesn't seem to be any real performance upgrades like aftermarket controllers, motors etc? I would love a full suspension bike but they just don't seem to match the performance of my upgraded Rovers. Maybe since you have so many bikes it's not as important.

    • @CitizenCycle925
      @CitizenCycle925  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There arent many companies that have strong plug and play aftermarket parts, i'm sure you can always add aftermarket controllers, etc to juice up any bike, but you might have to do some splicing and soldering and making sure that components are compatible. if you want power, probably better to just buy it out of the box but now youre talking $2000 plus for sure.

      The cyrusher is definitely faster. And the handlebars have a more ergonomic feel for me.
      I liked the rad’s peddle assist better, feels like you’re actually pedaling. Once you go in settings on the cyrusher and increase speed, the pedal assist seems to just jump up to whatever top speed is set to
      I will say that I just got into an accident on the cyrusher. A girl pulled out right in front of me while I was going about 25mph. I broke my wrist and sprained my wrist. The bike’s handlebars bent on its own hinges, but after readjustment honestly the whole bike seems perfectly okay. The wheel didnt bend or warp at all, fenders didnt break
      I crashed the bike a couple of times on the rad and the fenders broke right off with barely any contact.
      They both have their merits, the rad seems a smoother ride with a good customer service experience, the cyrusher actually sits better though and would blow out the rad
      Another cool thing is the throttle doesnt go beyond the pedal asst setting, so a 5 will get you at 28mph but you can lower it to 3 and it won’t go past 20mph if you want to save battery without feathering the throttle all the time like you would on the rad

  • @michaelsprinzeles4022

    Seems a decent entry level e-bike.
    Peak power isn't the appropriate power rating. What the motor can put out continuously is the power rating. That bike has a 1000 watt motor like the Rad has a 750 watt motor. Not an uncommon practice to use the peak number for advertising but I find it deceptive.
    I'm curious if that 100 watts assumes the full 20 amps, or is that the rating out of the box?
    I had that same phone holder...until my phone flew off on a bump & cracked the screen.
    You can replace the reflector with a battery operated light. They even sell ones with acceleration sensors that will come on when the bike is in motion and get brighter when stopping.
    I live on a steep hill that would almost stop all your e-bikes other than the Biktrix Stunner X. Hub motors and steep hills aren't a good mix.
    Ride on & enjoy;)
