- As an essential segment of Colombe Music, Colombe Sessions are acoustic sessions filmed in various locations, where we try to capture the mood and the emotions of the artists throughout the performance.
The artist performing in the 39th Colombe Session is Julien Baker, recorded in a Citroën 2CV parked in a scenic spot in Luxembourg City.

Does anyone else ever have a moment when you're watching one of Julien's live sessions where you just shake your head while smiling at the screen because you're just in total and irrevocable awe of her and her talent and her overall existence?
Because Jesus, I've found myself thanking the universe for her and her music more times than I can count. All the more because despite it all, she's so grounded and humble. 💟 I wonder what the world did to deserve her.
I find myself doing that every time I watch her!!
She's a great player. She makes amazing use of technology but it's sometimes just wonderful to hear what she can do with an acoustic guitar alone. It's been fun watching more folks learn about her.

I love how this video makes me feel. So artful. The bit where you can see the guitar string vibrations, the wind rustling in the trees, the shots of Julien through the rearview mirror... it almost makes me feel like I'm there. Amazing job to the camerapeople and editor.

i only get more and more infatuated with julien's music with every live performance i see. the genuine emotion and solid musicianship is hard to deny.
It absolutely amazes me how musicians like her, and Dylan from Tiny Moving Parts, with guitar skills of that level can play and sing at the same time.

Besides the fact that I love Julien Baker and I'm super stoked about this new music, I am equally as excited about the opportunity that this series has to relaunch. It looks like it hasn't ever had this many views or at least not in over 4 years. It's a fantastic series and deserves attention. As a cinematographer I want to say excellent job on the creativity of the shots and as an audio engineer I want to say bravo for the recording quality.
