This channel has helped me so much. My mom died 6 years ago and I was pretty young and my abuela died before I was born so I don't really have anyone I can call up and "ask" to remind me how to do something. Thank you guys, God Bless!

I also got some new ways of making this because of your abuelita I was never taught to cook while growing up. My mother made some bad choices in life. But I have learned many ways from your abuelita please give her my thank yous and hugs and kisses. My husband grew up putting a little bit of mayo on the tortilla as he dipped it in the jugito try it its so delicious. May you and your family be blessed. Keep the videos coming. ☺

After my abuelito passed away my abuela stopped cooking so I didn't get to learn her recipes and my mother's are too americanized. I know alot of women keep their recipes to themselves but you've brought a beautiful woman who is willing to share her secrets with the world. Now I can prepare my husband filling meals his mother would approve of!! Thank you for sharing your abuelita with those of us who don't really have one

I've seen the video at least 3 times to try and see if I missed the part of the Chile California. I saw when abuela pours it into the caldo but not when she blends it. With what did she blends it with like did she add ingredients besides water and Chile?

I think she puts the cooked rice in the meat to help the meatballs form and stick. Which raw rice won't do. The same way when your using bread crumbs.

Hola Abuela, & Slivia! So, I made this wonderful soup last Saturday, with my young grandsons. We made flour tortillas, Chicken enchildas, Spanish rice, and refried beans, and this wonderful soup for my daughter-in-law. My whole family loved the soup, it will now be a regular in my recipe box. I couldn't find the yerbabuena, so while my rice water boiled, I steeped a mint teabag in the water. The rice was nicely flavored by it and the soup was "the Bomb," as you say Slivia! So, again Thank you!
