Thanks for watching and the support!
There now your farming with that Ole 706 and that Ole white
One of the things I love about dairy farmers is they can be tough as nails, yet soft and comforting with a down cow. I could could hear the concern you had for the cow in your voice. Well done Kip!
Makes me happy to see Momma rehabilitated. Beautiful to see her sisters checking in on her. Thanks Kip for bringing respect and dignity to animal husbandry.
🇫🇷 midnight in France watching kip videos … am i crazy ? we all love your dairy farm and these 🇺🇸 farmers …congrats.. keep safe
I watch a lot of bag filling, grain, hay, and silage, and that is one of the best full bags I have seen.
That's awesome to see a 12 yr old dairy cow still going strong shows how good genetics and breeding with top quality feed and comfort pays in the long run and the sentimental value seeing her cave and put back in the line up.. priceless
We had many reach 17 and 18 years old. But we also had Brown Swiss
Thanks for another great video Kip. It was interesting and enjoyable.
First of all thanks for helping that older mother cow. You knew what to give her and she is up and going. You are a good herdsmen Kip. You saved her. Nice looking calf also.
Good job Kip.
Filling the silage bags is a busy busy process requiring a crew of people to make it work. Interesting you had to get the bigger tractor to get heavy silage wagons out of the field. Your ground is wet and the wagons sink down in the soil. Pulling hard.
Nice you got the bigger equipment to help the situation with.
You got a lot filled by the looks of the video. Nice teamwork everyone!!!!!!
Thanks for everything Kip.
The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Kip, it makes my heart so happy when you save a cow. I've seen you do it a number of times. Your success at it tells me that you know what you are doing. We lost our family milk cow in 1973-1974 and I cried my eyes out. I was about 15 then. It was a bitterly cold Iowa night in January and I sat on the floor of the barn with her head in my lap and tried to comfort her. I don't understand for sure what she died of and why the vet couldn't save her. She was a Guernsey. Thank you for your caring for your cows. You're a good man, Kip.
The amount of rain you received this year is unreal. Filling those bags is interesting. The care you gave that older cow shows your understanding of what is taking place. You knew that too much calcium can kill the mother cow. You know what to do. Thank you for another great video.
You are a testament to the greatness of American Farm culture ❗❗❗
Love your videos always Kip, Good going with that older cow and getting her going again,
Sure tell it isn't your first rodeo. Looks like the corn harvest is coming Ok.
Great job bringing the cow back to good health. Nice seeing the fall harvesting going on with the green and yellow equipment. That 4440 looks great with the firestone tires and the duals on.
Didn't I see you chopping with a pull type John Deere Forage Harvester a week or two ago?
"Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌 👍 🇺🇲
So glad you could nurse the cow and see her get up. She’s a real prize
Dang nice cow for 12 yrs old. Udder still nicely attached and teat placement ++
Always a pleasure watching your videos Kip, y’all stay safe and God Bless you and your family. Keep crushin it 🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸MERICA!
Enjoyed watching the video Kip😊
Love the way you guys farm always great videos, hey Kip tell Lonnie I love the josh Allen shirt GO BILLS!!!!!
Best of luck this 2023 silage harvest brotha
Wish i was there helping. I loved chopping corn. Unloading. The whole works
10 th calf. Just shows the quality and care you give those girls. Keep up the great videos as always.
We always put a piece of drain tile under the bag for the water to run across
You take such good care of the cows
You do truly have some really nice cows and udders on your farm
I love this! I remember pulling silage wagons with a ford 2000 Dexta, sketchy but we got it done!
Nice work on Mama cow Kip 👍✊
The cow that was milk sick is a beautiful animal....and how awesome for the farm that she's produced 10 cows. My uncle doesn't hold the calcium bottle that high, I guess it's personal choice. It's just got to be given slowly because it can stop the heart.
I cant tell you how many times i held the bottles for my dad for this same situation! I dont think people realize how much dairy farmers care for each and every cow, heifer and calf
My uncle had a dairy farm...and he always said only the good cows got milk fever
Everyone has videos with machinery, but NONE are as compassionate and caring for their cows as you are Kip. You truly are a rare gem when it comes to representing the dairy industry and putting the cows first. You should be very proud, well done
Loving the Josh Allen shirt!
I found that pool nuddls work great on the bagger cable just cut them down the center.
Good to see the baby & Momma doing well.
Try to get your bungee cord on the bagger WAY tighter and that should keep you from having the bag come off the tunnel in the future. Have a good harvest
I wish you could share that rain. I had. Maybe .50 in August!!! Kansas drought23…
Great video. Nice to see the White getting used
Kip, my husband and I love your videos 11:04 , but it has been our personal experience that your other music was far more enjoyable! Please bring it back, at least for the drone shots of field work 🙏🏼Thanks for reading my comment, God Bless!
Love the videos and all the information you provide. God bless you, your family, and all Farmer's!!
We have many older cows in our herd. They just keep earning their keep.... was wondering if Lance is back in school for another year?
That was awesome. Love what you do, and never work a day in your life. God Bless Kip
I see that Josh Allen jersey #17 👏 that's my home town team. I live 15 mins from the stadium. Fun fact there is a farm right by the stadium that clients get hay from. It's one of the last remaining farms in the heart of orchard park ny.. GO BILLS
What a great job with the mother calf who had just given birth! After the transfusions you gave her, she was doing great the next day!
So happy the mama cow story had a happy ending 🎉. I think she could use a break ..lol...poor mama 😢.love those drone shots!!!! God bless..❤🙏
You guys do a awsome job taking care of your momas. Love watching your videos. You all are good people. Keep up the good work. God bless you all
Wow, this video is incredibly informative! I've had my share of challenges in agriculture, especially when it comes to taking care of my animals. I vividly remember a moment when I had to administer a mini cow with a bottle of dextrose and calcium, but I had to be extremely cautious not to administer it too quickly, as I tragically lost a cow that way before. Another technique I used was putting hobbles on weak cows to prevent them from straying too far. Your insights and tips are invaluable. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, young man! I truly appreciate it!
I love watching your machinery and the processes you go through in your videos. I’m a country girl from IN, but our farmers seem to have a different process in harvesting corn and soybeans. I’d love if you’d explain more about silage, its usages, and the reason you put it into the bags vs the crops you put into the bins (which I’m more familiar with). If you could explain it in a way similar to how you explained giving the mama cow her IV that would be awesome! Thanks for the interesting videos…new sub here!
Hey kip. The elastic that holds the bag on the tunnel. I've found if you take those strings of that hold it ba k on the side and let the elastic down onto the bag to hold it better helps alot
Good looking cow for 12 .A real money maker!
Pretty sweet old white
I have given a mini a bottle of dextrose and calcium really have to be careful not to give it to fast accidentally lost a cow that way. Used to put hobbles on a weak cow to keep the from splitting out. 😢. Thanks so much young man!!!
Hey guys thank you so much for showing the ag bag set up and use. I have long wondered about how that worked. They were a new thing when we were farming. Now that swimming season is over, you should get off season pool noodles to replace the cardboard on that cable. Might be easier, just a thought. But it is one more thing to store and dig out once a year. When the bag is done what size silo is it equivalent to?
For 9 completed lactation her udder looks great. Whoever you have finding your bulls deserves a box of steaks or something. They are/ were awesome at their job! I think you said a year or more ago that you are using someone new. So you can save the steaks for now until you see his the offspring of the bulls he picked milking and how they stand the test of time.
One final thought. Do your daughters have the opportunity to learn farm jobs? They may join the family business or find a farmer of their own and work with them. I was driving a tractor and helping milk at their age, I will never regret a second of doing that. Except needing new knees from milking in a stanchion barn.
Stay safe you guys! Thanks for helping to feed the nation!
That's awsome the 12 year old cow. How long does it take to fill an ag bag.
Would Pool noodles or old garden hoses work for the cable
That's what I was doing today 😂😂😂
That bag looks amazing
I’ve never had the chance to run a White but I’m guessing it’s time to quit long before that White won’t pull wagons out of the field.
Ever try quick hitches?
Which a cow that is that old how long will you continue to breed her and do you just let her live out her life there or do you sell them to a processing facility? Great video and I hope chopping continues to go well. God bless you
How many yards of crushed concrete did you havr to get to fill that area?
When you guys gonna put in some silage pits
Nice video. How many cows are you milking?
I was hoping to see the White again.
Big Lonnie needs a hair net!! 😅lol 😢😅
Build a big silo. 24 by 90. Those baggers are more headache then there worth
Hi kip why don’t you use the self propelled chopper for haylage
Because it already has processor installed and you don't run any corn down when you're opening up with a self-propelled machine and has much better capacity
It's so wet over here farmers are putting on high flotation dual tires on all 4 corners. Some have invested in tracks on all 4 corners. Climate change has changed farming.
🇫🇷how much is that 12 years old cow producing ? God bless
GIVE THE COW HER OWN COLUSTRIUM MILK BACK TO HER.
Hey kip. Stop stacking those bales. Straight lines hold best quality. each line keep few inches apart. Have good one guys
Once again Lonnie is repping JA17!!! 🦬🦬🦬🦬
Is big Lonnie lol a bills fan?:( smh he will wear a different jersey seasons end
Lol ha :) farm on let's go 😊😮!!!
Ever notice how salad for lunch is not appetizing when making silage.
if thats where you guys put your silage bags yearly why not put tile in there then to help the drainage instead of fighting the mud every year
We did bags for a few years then built a bunk wish we never did bags waste of money
Those new tractors don't have the weight or power to get the job done
Sorry, but that is way to much hooking and unhooking wagons with all the tractors you have. Great video!!
