Thanks Mark, the crowd support around the course was exceptional, it was a great experience and I was really glad I ran the Manchester Marathon. Really appreciate your comments👍👏
Thanks so much goodyeoman, yes the achilles injury did interfere with the training so I was worried I wouldn't be able to do it but very satisfied I managed to finish the Marathon in a respectable time
You'd have taken 3:55 when we saw you at Newark after injury had struck. You obviously benefited from previous marathon training blocks which got you through the toughest parts. What next?
Yes at Newark I was concerned that I wouldn't even been able to run Manchester let alone go sub 4, so very happy with the 3.55. I've got the GNR to look forward to now👍
Thanks Donato very pleased with my sub 4 at age 66. Many congratulations to your 3.02 at 62, very inspirational & a great role model to all us older runners.
Hi Simon, I ran 11k on the Wednesday & 10k Thursday but now wish I hadn't as my Quads are still sore. You are wise to have a week off Buddy. Well done for Manchester👍
Wei-Han Liu thank you so much, yes I think I could have gone faster without the Go Pro but I wanted to record the Marathon so I can look back it when I'm too old to run anymore🤣
@@samsonslaphead1 Yes, thanks for sharing the video. I suppose holding a camera and talking probably affect the running rhythm. Do you mind sharing your age? I am a novice for running, and I am amazed how faster certain middle ago runners can run. 😀
Hi Mike, yes I was a little disappointed that I was just outside the GFA QT but I've done London twice before so I'm not too bothered as there are other marathons that I would like to do
Fantastic effort. Well done! I just found you on Strava. Great video, you really captured the atmosphere on the course.

Sorry for the late comment. Well done, what a fantastic achievement after the problems with your Achilles!

Fantastic. You’re spot on with the final 6 miles - absolute killer. Well done.
Thanks so much David, yes those last 6 miles are definitely a killer and if you've not done enough long runs the Marathon will find you out!👍

Slightly quicker and you could have applied GFA London 2025
