those 4 middle tracks on mm.. food are perfect for the immersion of the album, it’s literally an ad break for the crazy tv show DOOM is putting on for us
I am so glad to see you talk about grouptherapy, you mentioned them in a tweet recently and that got me to listen to i was mature for my age, and goddamn I love it so much, still alive, help pt 2, and peak are on repeat for me constantly
The PRhyme album has been in heavy rotation ever since i found it around 7-8 years ago. Logic absolutely snaps on Mode II, it's that mixtape logic type hunger. Also so many other fire tracks.
Refreshing to see old CDTV video sequels and CDTV talking about DOOM. Personally, Madvillainy is more of a skipless listen. As for some personal no skip records: Blond by Frank Ocean: not a rap album but i listened to it for the first time, considering it’s a hour worth of pop music with 3 or 4 skit style songs thrown in there, it slaps. Another one is definitely Yeezus. I know some might disagree with songs like Guilt Trip and I’m in it, but idc this is definitely my favorite Kanye album. The variety of production and fun bars makes it infinitely entertaining, and it scratches that experimental without being Deathgrips levels of abrasiveness itch or as I like to call it “experimentally mainstream” Man on the moon: The End of Day is my favorite album ever, so I wanted to shout it out as it’s the only album where I love every single song. Not like, but absolutely love. Thanks for putting me onto that GroupTherapy and Royce/DJ Premier record. Imma have fun over winter break(after Im done being dissatisfied with Vultures that is”
Amazing takes all around. Yeezus is definitely one of those “infinite replay value” albums in my opinion and I’ve been a fan of most of what Kudi has done over the years so this really resonates with me. As for Blond, the only reason I haven’t listened to it yet is the worry that I’ll like it too much and get super bummed out that Frank hasn’t dropped anything since lol. (Also that Vultures take is so real💀)
alright, grouptherapy was such a surprise for me bro! growing up with all 3 of these talented actors to hear that they all decided to pursue their creative liberties is an inspration!
Surprised to see grouptherapy on here. I didn’t think you listened to them as well. Glad to see their album being praised so highly, they really did an amazing job with it.
Great vid. Usually if an album I really enjoy has skits I say that "there's no skips besides the skits" but for me there are a couple of exceptions. For example, I personally don't skip anything from Redman's Muddy Waters or Kanye's The College Dropout at all. I let them all play from start to finish including the skits. I still find them entertaining somehow despite my repeated listens. Some skits lose their appeal over time but I think that the ones from those albums and others are well done and add to the overall album experience. Muddy Waters becomes a fun and silly radio show and College Dropout becomes like a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air type of sitcom episode imo. Some other rap albums that I think are skipless: Black Moon - Enta Da Stage, Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d. city, Madvillainy, Kanye West - Late Registration, Gang Starr - Moment of Truth, Common - Be and DMX - It's Dark And Hell Is Hot. Honestly, I often find myself calling a good amount of albums skipless so idk maybe my music/album standards are low lol. But that's geniunely how I feel about those albums
Next CD ima buy will probably be MM..FOOD, its one of those albums u can just put on and relax to front to back. Like u said even the skits, although i'd skip them on some occasions, add a lot of character to the album and also just have rly good instrumentals backing them up
I just listened to mm.. food literally this week and it was incredible, I also had the moment of realisation about world dominations beat being from here
Great video! Speaking of the second PRhyme album, don't worry! It's really great and stands on its own, though for me doesn't reach the peaks of first album.
If you liked Pilotkid's production on the grouptherapy album, you should check out his ep with Blvck Svm. Been following Svm for 3 years now, he's an amazing rapper that I feel is on to HUGE things soon.
my no-skips( not that anyone cares): How big, how blue how beautiful-Florence and the machine Lungs-same Ceremonials-same Born to die-Lana del Ray Astroworld-Travis Scott
I am so happy you mentioned grouptherapy. Discovered them via Fantano/Rate your music and instantly feel in love with them. How I'm feeling best song on there btw
Depending on how pedantic you are that beat was originally on Da Supafriends by Vast Aire feat MF DOOM which dropped in May 04 while MM..FOOD dropped in Nov 04
I want to agree with you on MM...FOOD, but I really disagree with the skit opinion, it's a little hard for me to stay attentive through them, and also I'm not a fan of the beat for Hoe Cakes.

I don’t think any album has completely perfect track list. There are only 3 on the top of my head that I can even consider, but still don’t reach it. YS by Joana Newsom is damn near perfect, but not quite. lift your skinny fists by Godspeed You! Very well might be perfect but still, idk, and Sling by Clairo would be perfect (to me) if Zinnias was reworked
Illmatic 😂😂😂 4 good songs on a 10 track album is not good. Outside of the big name songs everyone knows the rest of the album is boring as shit. Boring production and lame ass flows. Nas is so goddamn overrated

When r you gonna make the top ten rap albums of 2015?
@@moonbaboon_thatdude hard to say honestly, it’d be fun to put together but it does require a lot of listening/re-listening that takes a long ass time

can’t wait for “Rap Albums that are ONLY skips” for a negativity lover like me 😤 (i’d genuinely love a video like that)
Honestly, Nevermind is all skips. Perfect example of it.

Interesting decision to put The brave 2 and The 6ix9ine Latin album in here

Kon Queso is my favourite DOOM song ever, some of his most memorable lines. Kookies is even better on the 2004 version with the Sesame Street sample

DOOM was a god among mere mortals in rap. The greatest of all time and I don’t think it’s close.
