- I don't own any content in this video or audio track.
I was disappointed to see that this wasn't on TH-cam so I decided to post it!
Anyways, here you go!
Lyrics:
Make a big scene
Make this glass house my coffin
You miss the big picture
Well it's the words that you're coughin' out,
out on your sleeve
So forge my sins here in song
Well I'm telling you now what you've known all along
And it's tired, so true,
More subtle than you
There's a lull in the stereo
It's calling for you (calling for you)
It's calling for you
Well I'm a slave to my vices
It's true
They've all been renamed as a crutch
So drag my name and my face through the mud
You're better at confronting me
Showing just how vicious you can be
Do what you came here to do (do what you came here to do)
Trigger finger gets you pointed in the right direction
My new found discretion
It's not a lie if you believe it
It's no mistake if it's always repeated
It's not a lie if you believe it
It's no mistake if it's always repeated
Shall we call it quits or just wait? (It's not a lie If you believe it)
Even, even if my last name rhymes with your rescue of hear say
Do not say you know (It's no mistake if its repeated)
Call me out
It's not a lie (It's such a lie)
But I don't need to hear it from you
So what's another word for (I don't need to hear it from you)
What's another word for (I don't need to hear it from you)
What's another word for (I don't need to hear it from you)
What's another word for (I don't need to hear it from you)
It gets easier with doses of time (easier with dull sense of time)
Easier with doses of time (easier with doses of time)
Easier with doses of time (easier with doses of time)
Easier with doses of time (easier with doses of time)
Show us just how vicious you can be (be) - เพลง
I was listening to this since day one, who else has been? And who else has always wanted it to be officially released for us to enjoy?
Took me years to remember the title. It's always been my favorite song from them
Just found this in 2021, this may be my favorite TBS song of all time. Such a waste this wasn’t a singly on WYWTB
But all of us who listened to it on the eps felt special because we were emo and that’s what emo kids got off on. Stuff that other people don’t know about.
In 2004 my girlfriend at the time (now my wife) found this song on the internet before WYWTB came out so I was totally expecting it to be on the Album.. lol I've loved this song since I first heard it in '04
I'm not sure if you saw a video that Fred did on his TH-cam channel a few months ago, he was talking about this song..
He said he had just joined TBS and was staying at Will Noons house (the drummer for Breaking Pangea and then drummer for Stray light Run) anyway, lol Fred said he was writing this song while staying at Wills house at the same time that John and Shaun was coming over to Wills house for band practice for Straylight Run..lol he said it was very awkward although John and Shaun were both really nice to Fred (knowing he had just filled John's spot in TBS) haha..
He said they "TBS" decided not to put this song on the album because they already had to many controversial songs on the album and didn't want to add anymore songs about Ex-Members and drama.. Lol anyway if you haven't watched the video Fred made talking about this song you should check it out. 🤘
Randomly had the lyrics stuck in my head and I haven’t listened to this in like 6 years…
This song is clearly in response to the Straylight Run song, Another Word for Desperate. If I remember correctly, Straylight Run wrote their song first and TBS followed up with Follow the Format. I always interpreted both songs as Adam and John venting out about their experiences in writing music together. And of course, there was the whole drama after John and Shaun left the band..
Anyway, look up the lyrics for both songs. There are definitely some similarities in the lyrics.
What the fuck are you on about, the two songs are nothing alike
Still listening to this in 2020 I’m (27) years old now. First time I heard this song was in 7th grade in 2007 😭😭😭 time flies!!!
Saw them at Warped Tour 07 too!
Rock on. TBS
goddaaaamn that show must’ve been so good. im 15 now (i don't try to brag about my music taste bc i don't mind listening to mainstream music bc u can still find good music) and i'd die to see tbs in their prime :(
Still listening to this and its 2019..

It’s not mistake if it’s always repeated
Still listening in 2020 ye
Same same
Yeah!
This song has been stuck in my head for months now and I didn’t think to listen to it until now. Probably the first time in years. So good.
Has always been and always will be my fave tbs song… along with your own disaster.-
Valid
Oh, Adam and his revenge songs. 👌🏻
Written by Fred, its the first song he composed for TBS. He talked about it on a video he posted today
Maybe this is Bonus Mosh Pt 1...
Ye
it would've been nice to hear it live
awesome .. when they were great
so many memoriesss
Here’s me wishing they would put this up on streaming services.
I know why they didn’t put it on the album thank to Fred’s explanation on the video in his channel, but like they’re all over those things now. They should release it
why didn’t they put it on the album🙁
@@itsherrotimesorry for the super late reply, but never got a notification
So Fred said they decided not to release this because it’s about Shaun and John. If I remember correctly, Fred was living with the drummer of Straylighr Run (the band John and Shaun started after leaving TBS) and he would be there when those guys would rehearse, and while both Shaun and John never had any ill intent toward Fred, he did overhear some things about the TBS guys and Fred was like “hey that’s my band now, I have to be a homie” and then they decided to write this song. But ended up not releasing it because the guys in TBS and Shaun and John ended up working their differences and becoming friends again or something like that. It was supposed to be on released on Where You Want To Be.
But again, I might be misremembering things because I haven’t seen the video where he explains this in a long as time
2024!!!
Still listening in 2021
Remember Jerry, it's not a lie if you believe it
Love this song
Best tbs song next to your own disaster
Nah dude.
I love this song in 2021!
oooh i dig this
Mabuhay HS life fav. Song ko po
Love this
Great song, great picture.
But the picture should have Fred and Matt in it, not Shaun and John. As the former werent part of the song..
@Affinity865 I think the lyrics "You're better at confronting me" are actually "Flattery can flatter me, flattery can flatter thee" :)
yeah flattery can flatter me... is what i hear too.
Definitely 🤘
This song is awesome XD
🐐
this song omg
why does jon look so jacked in this photo
Any one know the story behind this song? Was it leaked and so they decided to never release it? Still my favorite TBS song since the day I heard it.
That's the rumor I heard too.. way back in 2004 when " Where you want to be" came out.. I've always loved this song!! 🤘
Fred just talked about this song in his recent AMA. It was about the drama with Brand New at the time.
Fred on his The Color Fred channel just released a video answering questions and he told the story of this song. It's the first song he composed for TBS and It was about him defending Adam from all the drama that was going on at the time (John leaving/Jasey Lacey beef) But they decided to not record it for the Album because they wanted to leave all the drama out of it.
I always thought this song was about the drama when the band fractured and half the members formed Straylight Run.
Regardless of what the song is about here's the backstory.
Tbs went in to track demos with Mike sapone. They recorded this, a decade and little devotional.
This song is actually named Bonus Mosh.
The CD-R that was left in sapones studio had "follow the format" written on it. This was an inside joke between the band and sapone because the band was simply following their format of song structures.
So when this song leaked, the band ditched it but wanted a song that was still heavy on the kick drum. This is why Bonus Mosh on where you want to be is Part 2.
This info is from Mike Sapone himself when I brought it up in conversation.
There is one song that has never been released and it is the last demo Saun and John recorded with TBS before leaving. There is a live version of it called The Metal Song on TH-cam .
It wasn't put on anything because Victory Records owns the rights to it.
This is about John right?
June 2020

I'm curious about the photo. Didn't Lazzara replace Lacey at bass? Were they in the band at the same time? I even went to shows with Lacey in TBS and I swear Lazzara was not there yet on bass or vocals..
I too am super curious about this picture. It had to of been taken after Lacey left the band.
Pretty sure that that Is John Nolan
That’s John in the picture, and before Adam joined it was Lacey on bass and Antonio Longo on vocals.
This picture is from the photoshoots when they filmed Cute Without the E video. Lacey had left long before that.
This song was after tell all your friends. That’s Fred on secondary vocals.
Best B-side ever?
Missed by title fight ( shed b side )
Harness your hopes by pavement is a good one too
Probably my life as rob gordon by the wonder years best b side ever in my opinion
Classic shit
Title of the album?
It's from Where You Want To Be, but it wasn't on the actual album.
