    is that tape made with a heat activated type glue? or did you just heat it up to help it stick a little better, bc it makes a difference. Like heat shrink is a heat activated glue on the inside while its shrinking, not just a sticky substance youre heating to help it stick a little better. I'm asking bc i've used skate-tape and heated it up. while it helps to make the tape stick better, it isnt glue and therefore peels up after just one or two times to the range. Thanks.

    • @PilotPatriot
      @PilotPatriot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im just heating it to make it stick better! But ive had this on my duck hunting gun for 3 years and havnt even had a corner peel

    • @1madmax22
      @1madmax22 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PilotPatriot I'm using just a small piece on front strap of a CZ P10C. I've heated it up and used it about 10 or 12 times, so thats why its falling off. I've been searching for a roll of tape thats made like Talon grips to cut up myself, no luck so far. Thanks, and thanks for the reply.

    Try using "AGrip" grip tape the same way. It feels great, doesn't wear out your gloves, and works WAY better and lasts WAY longer. Zero slip... even with wet or sweaty hands. I've got some on my guns that is well over 20 years old and still going strong. Brooks Tactical Systems makes it. And it comes with an unconditional money back guarantee. Fantastic stuff.

    • @PilotPatriot
      @PilotPatriot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Haha nice way to plug your own product!...and im sure its fine but I'm also sure there is no way for you to know it is WAY better or lasts WAY longer because you haven't tried this product. The product in this video is rubberized and very comfortable unlike the sandpaper alternatives....and while going this route does require a little extra work it also lasts a very long time and for the cost of 1 of your pre cut kits, you could do about 20 handguns with my method! Not saying your product isn't fantastic, this is just a more budget friendly option. I'd be happy to do a comparison if you would send me some of your product to test!

    • @BrooksTactical
      @BrooksTactical 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Excellent response! Thanks, and yes... i agree with much of what you said especially about low cost alternatives that do something to help. And, yes, i'd love to send you some to try... no charge... take it, use it, and beat it up good. I think you'll love it. It's "different", for sure, but it works really well, especially for concealed carry. Email me at brooks@brookstactical.com or hit me up on FB or whatever. AGrip may seem more expensive, but it's actually much less expensive in the long run, especially when you consider performance. You can get a direct comparison by taking a plastic or metal pipe about a foot long and an inch in diameter and wrap it on one side with one kind of grip tape, and then wrap the other side with AGrip. Grab each side with each hand and twist, pull, etc. You will immediately feel and ever see the difference. The AGrip will be locked in your hand and will have zero movement, zero slip or shift, and the otherside will slide in your hand... especially with sweaty or wet hands. Try it both ways and use all different materials. AGrip slaughters everything else. Thanks!
