    OMG we just picked our van up yesterday. Exactly the same as yours. Planning to do exactly, what you are, when finished. Like you we have maxed out on all the you tube videos. And don’t forget the sound proofing guys. 😀😀

    Great job. Making us a little bit jealous😫😂 Doing all the boring stuff now will save a lot of hassle later. And when you wanna sell you can show buyers what’s been done underneath👍🏻Definitely insulate the floor. The road and exhaust get super hot. You don’t wanna cook Lucky and Peppa😱😂

    • @BradandJaz
      @BradandJaz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Shelley yea I think we’ve decided we will insulate the floor and hopefully keep some of that extra heat out thanks for watching it’s a slow process but learning a lot already

    Good start :) probably better cooktop has wall rather than windows as I’d be forever cleaning pan spatter off glass!

    Definitely insulate the floor guys! It will even help with sound deadening while you are actually travelling!

    • @BradandJaz

    The floor sound deadener pretty much insulates as well. Sticky foil sheets.

    Definitely insulate under floor ! Jas do you remember laying on the concrete pads in the caravan park well after sunset because they were still nice and warm ?

    • @BradandJaz
      @BradandJaz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Ma, yea we’ve decided to do the floor as well. Try and keep it comfortable in there 🙏

    Cant wait to see the end result. I think more window, the better! Gotta capture those views. Also the exterior of the van would look better I think?

    • @BradandJaz
      @BradandJaz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea we are definitely looking forward to having those windows in and getting to see some beautiful country 🙏

  • @andyjholloway

    I'll put in a vote for not insulating the floor. Insulation in Australia is mainly about keeping heat out and insulating the floor doesn't really help with that. Also so much easier to get a solid squeak free floor by just gluing plywood straight to the metal floor. Check out Mitch Cox aswell as Max & Lee youtube channels for their insulation videos (they are Australian).

    • @BradandJaz
      @BradandJaz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Andy yea it’s a tough one te the insulation, had a few different opinions on that one I have watched max’s build (no insulation) and also salty vanlife (who did insulate floor. So I’m confused lol 😂

    I'm curious...was it hard to find windows? Are they expensive?. I'm just starting my search. I'm a bit nervous about how to install them hahha. We can do it.

    • @BradandJaz
      @BradandJaz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are actually a few different companies that do camper windows, I’ve just ordered my 3 and I think it was a couple hundred bucks each. There are a couple great videos on it, we will also do one in about 4 weeks if the windows arrive in time
