I like no matter how easy the model might be or difficult it is you give them the same amount of attention ,detail and skill to each kit you build which speaks of the care you give each project also I appreciate the tips you give to help us modelers achieve the same results
This is yout third build of the honduran air force, you seem to have taken quite a liking to them. I think it's pretty cool seeing schemes from a decently obscure out of the way military and I hope you do more.
All of my Honduran Air Force builds have been repeat commission from the same individual, who's father used to fly for the HAF (FAH). So, there will be plenty more to come! But I do enjoy doing them because they offer some neat alternative schemes to common aircraft.
I spent some time in Central America in the 80's. I saw a lot of Honduran military aircraft (Hueys, F5's, C47's, etc.) both at Pamerola and in the field. I'd say you nailed the look with this build.
Very nice build never built a helicopter before. But the one you build inspired me might have to pick up a kit and go to work.Always great watching your videos can't wait for your next one
I wasn't much of a helicopter guy myself until I started building them, now I've got multiple helicopter projects planned. They're way more fun that I expected.
Nice little build Brett. Got me few of those 72 scale in the helps. One was the huey from hobby boss and enjoyed it very much. Surprised by how these companies are adding details in 72 scale. Like you I have 3 little ones who make sure I am doing it right. One thinks she has to lay on the finished work...oh well. Have a great day my friend and God bless....😊😊😊😊
Hi Brett, very nice Huey and the Loach in the background was looking good too. I love Vietnam War era Choppers and things, made a lot of them when I was younger. My Hueys and Cobras etc were American ones hence boring Olive drab(ish.) Loads of weapons though 😁
Straight out of the "A Team," What more can a modeller want? I kid, but this is a seriously good build, haven't commented in a while unfortunately, started a few projects of my own, as well as dealing with Christmas stuff early.
Nice laid back video. Enjoyed it fully. Was waiting for you to do som wear (bare metal) on the door slides. They were screaming for it. Maybe reference photos did not show that wear at all....
Hello mr.hammer!thats one flawless build of that iconic helo! The paintjob looks quite convincing.i have build an huey D in 1/35in1996from revell.at this age the kit looks so huge and i had not the controle over the glue(contacta)i have today,so the glue stuck everywhere He should Not.and there was no professionell spruecutter or skalpelblade but a Papas toecutter or Mamas Kitchenknive.what make Mama shout out.ohh those happy days.with best regards and sticky greetings from Brandenburg germany.faithfully yours.your modellmate.christian
Sweet! 😊 I haven't done a Helo. I prefer 48th & am thinking of getting the Academy CH53. The sea dragon version is available but I'd rather build the version you did. Can I get those fuel tanks, etc. as a mod set?
I think I used a Wolf Pack update set on the CH-53E I did, and I'm not sure its available any more, maybe on ebay. But in addition to the kit being hard to source, the aftermarket is difficult as well. That said, Reskit has started releasing some new upgrades for the kit, but so far nothing that is similar to the Wolf Pack set.
It was a blast! I don't particularly enjoy doing car models, mainly because I'm terrible at getting a super clean gloss finish, as for a subject I haven't tried...I haven't built a WWI biplane yet. The rigging scares me!
@@HammerheadModelMaking Ah yes, that super shiny finish, yeah I wouldn't mess with that, as for the rigging, I haven't build a biplane yet but I've done some rigging on ships so it shouldn't be THAT difficult.
White under clear colors is an interesting style, I always do silver underneath. I'll have to try white. Is there a video I missed on making that base? I like it.
I have a question regarding the glue you use for the decals. Is there a specific brand/mark you use, every single one i tried so far has dried insta and did not allow me to make the minor adjustments right after placing the decal/photo etch. Also the photo etch has a tendency to serepate easy with the glue giving way. Please let me know what kinda glue you use.
This is the CA glue I use for gluing Photo Etch and the 3D decals: www.amazon.com/Bob-Smith-Industries-Maxi-Cure-Extra/dp/B0000DD1QH/ref=sr_1_1?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Xy9QFX1UM8QaKKopX0D89lmcJbohkuaNPxZv6yNjboRS0Ui0L4Fw5_7bTwvH1GeyfMCdD7aOG7y5PyX7-fzKquLF3O9y566LxvQwo1-zKYXGRS-qmZz-OdIHNSXH1USA_Haanh68Rggjdnkhh5Er3-q1arsoKzloHhbgm_3142KVFcQeTKM1etaKNwV3STzCa9_xbYFq5AUZUqTIkQkJ2MIgkRvuNA7DHSRd_R3Jijg.wRKvZ3e0QNC9hDJ_BejrZMFXQYeow5zE9X2akzZsoH4&dib_tag=se&keywords=bsi+glue&qid=1731810086&sr=8-1 This glue as a working time of about 20 seconds which can give you the time you need to get your part placed before it sets, and its a fairly secure bond so not likely to break off.
I've noticed in your opening credit you seem to be a helicopter kind of a guy. Being a 101st alum, have you built or plan on building a UH-60 Blackhawk? Thanks for your response in advance. I really enjoy how you build and edit your videos. Plz keep up the good work. 😀😎
Funny enough, I wasn't really much of a helicopter guy until I built the CH-53s, but now I'm quite enjoying them. Yes, a black hawk is definitely on my list of kits to build, I'd really like to do one of the Battle of Mogadishu Black hawks at some point.
@HammerheadModelMaking Cool 😎. That one is the SF version that 160th SOAR uses with external fuel cells and and can do in-flight refueling. The regular transport does not have that extra stuff.
I like no matter how easy the model might be or difficult it is you give them the same amount of attention ,detail and skill to each kit you build which speaks of the care you give each project also I appreciate the tips you give to help us modelers achieve the same results
Glad you enjoyed it! This was a fun little build, even if it was a little simplistic! Sometimes its just nice to have fun!
This is yout third build of the honduran air force, you seem to have taken quite a liking to them. I think it's pretty cool seeing schemes from a decently obscure out of the way military and I hope you do more.
I like to imagine there is a wealthy aviation enthusiast from Honduras commissioning all these builds
All of my Honduran Air Force builds have been repeat commission from the same individual, who's father used to fly for the HAF (FAH). So, there will be plenty more to come! But I do enjoy doing them because they offer some neat alternative schemes to common aircraft.
You are correct in that these are all commission by the same Honduran individual, although I cannot speak to his wealth!
Yep, cyclic is the centre column, side controller is collective, pedals correct also. Nice job 🙂
Thanks!
You know what........A very nice build as always......I like the idea of the scotch tape for the window masks.
Thank you. I don't always use scotch tape, usually on smaller kits like this one. But it does the trick and is easy to cut!
Another awesome video, many thanks. Paul
Thanks Paul!
Very nice build mate, can't stop quality control, important work Onex does there...
Absolutely!

Oh nice!
There's always room for another Huey! Looks great in the end and the comments are very helpful. Thanks for sharing...
Right! I've got another Huey build planned for the month of December!
Hey Brett, fantastic work - love the base also, thanks for sharing, cheers Liam
Thank you!
Nice build once again Brett. Very fun to see these progress coming together.
Project not progress lol
Thanks 👍
Absolutely amazing kit! This has made me want to buy a Huey
Thanks! You should build one!
The first model I ever built was a Huey. Such fond memories of building this with my dad when I was a kid.
Awesome!
It doesn't look that smalland simple in the end, also looking forward to what you did with the Little Bird.
Great work!!
I had to do some scratch building on the little bird! That was fun at such a small scale!
I most say you do amazing work very inspiring to watch, so thank you for sharing 😊👍.
Thank you so much!
Gracias, buen trabajo. 👍
Saludos.
Thank you!!

I'm sure I have cat hair embedded in every build I do! Cheers!
Takes me back to building my first Huey in 1965. I sure wish we had those 3D decals back then.
Ha ha, right!
Very smart little thing........nicely done 👌🏻👍🏻👏🏻
Thank you!
This was disrespectfully satisfying 🤘
Ha ha, thanks!
Nice build! Try using chrome silver instead of white under the transparent colors. It makes them "pop" more.
Will do!
Hi Brett, very nice Huey and the Loach in the background was looking good too.

Nice man! Got more helicopters coming down the pipeline!

well good luck with your projects and Christmas!!

Ha ha, yeah I've built models back in the day with pretty much those same tools!
Sweet! 😊

This looks like it was like a fun little project. Beautiful paint job. Is there a Particular subject that you don't like or haven't tried yet?

not specific to this base, but this video shows how I make my bases in general:

I just get it from my local dollar store.
