But I would visit him, and this song activates a very specific memory of listening to this song whilst in his expensive hotel (where he chose to live) and being overwhelmed with dread and fear. My father was not okay and would end up homeless and there was not a god damn thing I could do about it. No quantity of logic could persuade him to seek help or reflect on his actions.
