- The flying fish is a favourite food for yellowtail kingfish, marlin and tuna. So it's no wonder they've evolved to fly to escape their predators. So, when Matt Watson comes across kingfish feeding on flying fish, he comes up with a plan - rig up flying fish and fly them out under a kite to the packs of hungry kingfish. The footage is insane as the kingfish literally leap out of the water to grab the flying fish, and that triggers some more ideas for Matt and he comes up with even more new ways to target fish feeding on the surface that results in bent rods and screaming reels.

You can tell that working on commercial boats has left its impression when he said he's happy to see the fish going back in. I met a bloke who worked on shark boats up north. They processed around 3000 sharks every second day. Fins only.
