I mostly use Fabriano Artistico, 300 gsm, 100 cotton, cold or hot press. In this video as I recall it was cold press

I like your technique, however studying the flowers, you can see how poppies only have 4 petals, so I would say that your flower seems to be a peony. Even the leaves don't match...maybe it's a fantasy flower...then it's fine
