Greetings from Aix-en-Provence France , and thank you for a really informative video, We have a Tesla Model 3 but decided we really need a suv for carting our Labrador around and after driving every suv ev available here in France we ordered a Enyaq 80 with heat pump and panoramic roof as with the French ecological grant the configured price came down from 55k € to 41k € on the road a whole 25k € cheaper than the Model Y we tried and with superior German build quality. Also the latest Enyaq here in France charger's at 135kw straight from the factory. Unfortunately we have a 6 month wait to take delivery but for our needs it was by far the best value for money SUV EV that I could find here in France.
Great video and well done.I took delivery of an Enyaq 80 2 weeks ago having waited for 4 months for it to arrive. I know what you mean with the options list but you have to be sensible here. I included 125kw charging, front climate plus and panoramic sun roof. Still came in at under £40k. For me that represents excellent value. The car has not disappointed either, it's been well worth the wait.
The enyak is top of my list at the moment. I have had estates for carrying canoes, and kit inside. To my mind this is an estate car with extra headroom. The extra space over the kona and faster charging are big tick points. Meanwhile the kona is surprisingly just big enough after 3 years and 70000 miles I would love a model Y, but prices are already expensive, but may come down once Berlin comes on line. I live in hope.
Thanks for that Pete, great to get people's input! The space in the Enyaq would be nice...but so hard to leave the efficiency of the Kona! Thanks for the comment!
I have been driving a VAG car for 20 years now, going from VW to Skoda and now back to VW with a Passat GTE which is great in EV-mode and much quieter inside than many other makes. I really like the way Skoda, even compared to VW make their EVs feel like "normal" cars and not plastic futuristic cars. I prefer the way they feel, with not the rigid plastic you find in the Hyundai. What are your thoughts about "normal" car feel and road noise levels @Best Electric Vehicle?
Thanks for the comment Shawn! I don't think we'd settle on one side of that choice. As in, we understand what you mean by the traditional feeling in a Skoda. But a few of us are also big fans of Tesla and the feel of their cars also. It's a good question though...and deserves a good bit of thinking!
You now have a mandatory option for 100kw charging, 50kw is no longer available, but it’s not a free upgrade, it costs £340 extra on the 60 model. Having said that a software update due soon is going to further increase charge speed. Also the smaller battery is 62kwh of which 58 is usable.
Thanks for that Tim, very interesting. I wonder is that a global thing or just where you're based. But it's great to see the upgrade to 100kW...50kW tech, although you might not need any more, is very old in 2021! Thanks for the comment!
I’ve got an Enyaq iv60 on order but didn’t spec the 100kwh charging. 99% of the time I’ll be charging at home on our 7kw wall charger so decided not to spec it. I agree that if 100kw is available it should be standard but it really won’t be an issue for me as even on longer journeys 20%-80% will take less than an hour at 50kwh. The complaint I would have is options all being in packs as opposed to being able to spec stuff individually. It means it’s more expensive to get everything you want and you end up with features that you don’t really need as they’re part of a pack.
Some good point in there Craig, thanks! The price of the Enyaq does seem to rise rapidly once you hit the options list (packages)! Hope you don't have to wait long for the car...and many happy years motoring!
Yeah, and don't be too surprised if that date gets stretched also! There's so much demand for EVs now, manufacturers just can't keep up! Thanks for the comment!
Greetings Martyn, thank you for bringing this. I was looking for it. For these types of EVs that have long roofs, the carmakers could try and give more choices such as glassed-roofs and solar-paneled roofs. It would increase the factor fun or efficiency so much.
It's a pretty imposing cehicle alright! Unfortunately it seems to be a trend now...that big SUV style. One of the reasons we like MG5 and cars like that! Thanks for the comment David!
Enyaq are very good vehicles like Tesla, but with an incredible ugliness inside. I don’t like for example being at the office 8 hours, and having to see after that a huge computer screen as soon as you open the car’s door. This makes you think you still are at the office, apart from the fact that everything in the vehicle depens on the screen so that if the screen fails, the whole vehicle also fails. I prefer more disguised screens throughout the car like the 2021 Sony EV or any other similar on the market.
That's an interesting point of view, thanks Nestor. And I'd say you're not on your own there! But the bigger screens do seem to be on trend! Thanks for the comment, hope you enjoyed the video!

Not...at..all...jealous! Good choice, and I think you were right to option the 125kW charging. Happy motoring, and thanks for the comment!
4 month wait, i have to wait 51 week to get mine if that promise is accurate and doesn't get delayed.
The enyak I saw has a deep space to the side in the boot for the cables. I likes it
Very true...would love a frunk though! Thanks Pete!
Like it so much I've ordered one, but have to wait UP TO 12 months,
Ouch, that's long waiting list! Enyaq owners seem to love theirs though so it should be worth the wait! Thanks for the comment!
Great video and introduction. I have ordered half year ago (2021. May) and the delivery time still unknown.
A fine choice Attila! Pity about the wait time, but it'll feel all the more special by then! Thanks for the comment!

You can't compare an Enyaq with a Kona, a Renault Zoe has more room than a Kona. See #BjornNylands banana box test if you don't believe me.
Hello Best Electric Vehicle, thanks for having a look at the ŠKODA ENYAQ iV. We appreciate your feedback. 🙂
Happy to feature it...lot of people very interested in it!

I have a Enyaq iv 60 suite nav on order ,your right about the extra packs, they make Skoda the Ryan air of motoring😁😁
Ha...first time I've heard that one...very good!
Awesome looking EV, like it a lot. 🥰
We'll put you down for two of them so?! Thanks for the comment!
@@BestElectricVehicle not available in 🥰🇳🇿Aotearoa🥰🇳🇿 yet however so excited about so much awesome EV product coming through! 🌿🌏🙏🏻👍🏻🥰☺️🇳🇿

Took an Enyaq for a test drive and was impressed. Put in an order for an 80 but we are looking at 8 months delivery. What???

I order 80X 6 week ago and dealer said it will take 51 week to deliver so it's even longer now.
The problem with the Enyaq is that everything, literally, is an option. If you add them all, it becomes an expensive car.
I noticed that when I specced one out on the Skoda website. They have given almost nothing as standard.
The options list is longer than the till receipt from the Christmas shop at Tesco. The base car comes specced up with 4 wheels and a motor.
Yeah, it can get pricey by the time you're finished! Thanks for the comment Richard!

Yeah, we'd love to see that too! The IONIQ 5 Project 45 has it, but it's rare alright! Thanks for the comment!
If only it didn't look like a macho ICE SUV. I want an electric car that looks like an electric car.
It's a pretty imposing cehicle alright! Unfortunately it seems to be a trend now...that big SUV style. One of the reasons we like MG5 and cars like that! Thanks for the comment David!
Nice car but, nothing so much interesting compared to hyundai ionic 5,or kia ev6
Good point Josip! It's definitely more familiar than the other two, especially compared to the IONIQ5! Great to have the choice now!
