This video clearly demonstrate how little skoda knows about their own shortcomings. It’s a bit of an insult to all of us who actually own and drive the car. There is no chance (none!) to be able to quick charge (>60 kW) without preheating the battery with yoyo-driving, with cold outside temperatures. Highway (120 km/h, doesn’t even increase the temperature above 8 centigrade. Skoda really really must realize that (manual) preheat of battery must be incorporated!
it would be a nice add-on to let the car pre-heat or pre-cool the battery while it's connected to a charger. i currently run my remote AC on High 30 min before leaving, which gives me a little more range.
The battery temperature must be above 21,5 °C to have quick Charge with 126 kW. At 0°C outside temp and 4 °C cold battery, you need to drive around 130km/h and the last 15 min with 150 °C to be have an preheated Battery. Only possible in Germany when you have empty streets. But not very efficient too. With 120 km/h the battery still gets colder! Below 8°C the battery-heating is running with 6kW!!! so this is the reason you don't exceed 8°C
Everything is working fine for my Skoda RS here in Switzerland where the temperatures are negative. These tips are interesting and intelligent from a manufacturer who listens to its customers. Obviously Skoda has understood that listening to the consumer will make better products.
Most funny part drive at least 200-300km then after charge haha. Mate, if I could drive 300km in winter not worried about range. With cold battery consumption is 40-50kW/h, even 80 model can’t drive that much. Btw software update would be better than tips and tricks, fix those all daily issues.
The My Skoda app does not allow you to program departure time as the functionality appears to be broken . Also you state surface heating is the most economical. Yet my car which I ordered and came with heated seats, the heated steering wheel it turned out, was in a different pack. Why, especially for the iv60 with the shorter range, is the heated steering wheel not part of the basic pack, or at the very least included with the heated seats?
Will the battery also be heated if the car is unplugged? What is the temperature threshold for active heating? To what temperature will the battery heat up?
"Set the departure time in the app" > When it works of course. Was 100% offline over the weekend and I haven't been able to set a "Smart Schedule" in nearly a month. Also, 5-20% SoC isn't easy to find as battery percentage isn't displayed on the driver display.
Production models currently have battery % on driver display, even if it wasn't shown in this video. (And older models will probably have an OTA update to add it)
Why don’t you guys at Skoda fix the iphone app so it would actually connct to my car every time and not only every now and then. Incredibly frustrating bugs!
Škoda today I set my departure time as shown on this video by Katherine. When I left the cabin was at 22 degrees but the battery was only 4 degrees. The air temperature was 8 degrees. Why does my Enyaq not work as shown in the video?
Hello Skoda, just want to inform you that your informations regarding preheating the battery are wrong. I checkt with an OBD-Dongle that the battery will only be heated at Departure time when the car is unplugged! So its exactly the opposite way as described! While connected to the Wallbox, the Battery won't be preheated - only the Interior. When will this be fixed with OAT-Update? Better fix the Software, then spending energy in wrong Videos! BR
Empty the battery to below 10 % to achieve better charging performance. In combination with the lacklustre Navi and charging station planner, this advice is a recipe to run out of battery before reaching the charger. The lady never seems to have used the car she claims to be response for.

just watch out for the notificatie that advises u to go too a charging station. once you see that, you are in below 20%

@@MrMpharrison yeah it seems the percentage view is in the v3 update - dealer can’t give me a timeframe for upgrading mine; maybe sometime in 2023?
Hello Planet Car News, thank you for sharing this video. We hope it helps people to apply these tips. ❄⚡💚
Hello Skoda, my pleasure :)

@@anttikalpio4577 Thanks for your comment. We will look into this too. 👍

Very good info, thank you :)
The app on the smartphone is very important for an EV owner, so Skoda, get it right.
❤

The lady never seems to have used the car she claims to be response for.
But not all enyaqs have the heated seats or stearing wheels.
They say 548km wltp cycle but usable 120km/h highway driving is only about 368km. That’s dangerous
Battery preconditioning would be useful, come on @Skoda 😂
Katrin's accent is so hard to listen to....
NNVVII NOTE 8
Really bad low budget video….and “actors”….and producers…
You are pung😂
Optimising? 🤣
Very very rabish car.
All nice, but the price of this EV is getting very high and not affordable for even white colour workers. Not good Skoda.
