    I have both, the m12 fuel and 12v extreme. I prefer the DeWalt due to the ergonomics. The grip isn't bulky like the m12 and hangs from my belt better. I enjoy using both and am happy I have both.

    Great test. I considered both the Milwaukee and Dewalt 12V Impact drivers (and drills), but went with Milwaukee. While I agree that the Dewalt's grip is more comfortable and its halo led light is better, I didn't care for its wobbly hex chuck. Also, Milwaukee's extensive line of 12V tools is a huge advantage over 12V offerings from Dewalt and the others.

      I was in the same boat, but went Dewalt because the grip and 12v and 20v both use the same charger. If Dewalt didn't finally release ratchets, I would have bought Milwaukee. Splitting hairs though.

    I really enjoyed this video, as not many 12v comparison videos on TH-cam that are evaluating tools I'm primarily concerned with.
    When you get into the low voltage segment, a lot of people are looking for things battery run time, the tools weight with the battery already attached(something you do always, as far as I can tell.), the overall size, possibly even lower torque.
    To me, I don't really notice the Milwaukee's handle girth, but with my size, I get in my own way.

If it had less power it would have been even worse. As far as how the tool feels in the hand that is totally subjective. I think you would need multiple people to come up with something useful.

      @ccbowers 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Like it's grip? Milwaukee doesn't even like it's grip- that's why m18s have completely different ergonomics. It is a limitation of their battery design. The small differences in these testing would not overcome that issue for a lot of people.

    • @TacticalThib

      @@ccbowers regardless Milwaukee has more power point blank. And gen 3 has even more not to mention how many tools 🤔 😳 😅 I cannot in good faith say any is my favorite they all have there places I don't like bias and just because it doesn't fit your hand doesn't mean it doesn't fit mine 😉 😜

    • @ccbowers
      @ccbowers 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TacticalThib Is power the only criterion you are interested in? It is a poorly ergonomic grip and that's why the m18 (nor any other slide battery tool) don't have the same grip. If you've gotten accustomed to it, congrats. Do you think when Milwaukee redesigns the battery for m12 (or its replacementin the future), the grips will be the same bulbous shape? Of course not.
      I wanted higher levels of power than other 12V tools could offer, I'd use an 18V tool. Too many people look at power alone, but that is rarely the deciding factor once you get to a certain quality of tool, other than youtube challenge videos.

    I really wish you would elaborate a little bit more as to why you would skip over the M12 after it acing every single test you made for them. Do you have any other criteria that you didnt tell us? Is it personal preference? Im guessing the thickness of the grip has something to do with this, but dont really feel like that was clear. Personally I prefer the Milwaukee / Bosch variant with the battery in the grip, makes the whole package so much smaller with compact batteries, but it does take some time getting used to. Usually I will hold mine with middle finger on the trigger and index finger along the side of it, and it sits alot better in the hand then. Biggest dislike with the M12 for me is the light placement (which the new one coming out fixes) and that batteries doesnt feel very secure in place.
    Anyway it just seemed very abrupt with M12 winning every test then suddenly at the end DeWalt is the winner. As if it was evaluated on something completely different than the tests you made for it. Might be a good idea to talk more about that during the testing if you have problems with it, or even find other points to evaluate on such as perceived comfort, noise, vibration etc.

    • @ManCaverTools
      @ManCaverTools  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Power of the tool isn't everything. I declared the Milwaukee the winner of the tests. but as a suggested preference. Id go for the Dewalt extreme. I and many others think that the m12 tool handles are a bit awkward to hold. I just prefer the Dewalt and people in many comments asked to give an opinion on what tool I would prefer to use after these test videos. so now I have that in here :)

    I really want to like Makita's 12V tools, but the Skil Pwrcore12 tools just outperform Makita, for less money. I love my Skil Pwrcore12 drill and oscillating multi tool.
    The DeWalt 12V line is hit-or-miss when it comes to beating Milwaukee. The impact driver is not as strong, but the drill (dcd701) is stronger than the M12 Fuel hammer drill. And the DeWalt line is A LOT more comfortable.
