The intro is professional grade video and your narration through the tour top notch. Amazed at how efficiently you have the MY setup. I hope you are successful in getting your channel going and living in the car works out for you! Good job.
You're a legend dude, super impressive! I hope you continue to get more views and subscribers but ultimately enjoy your time in the car and on your hikes. Definitely got some great pointers from your video. Adventure on!
1:45 sorry have to say that the air intake is right next to the frunk storage space. I have put take outs in the trunk and smell it easily. Ofc, with recirculation off.
Where’d you get those suction cup privacy partition. Right now I’m using a giant Tesla Wool Blanket with Clothes Line Pins clipped to the ceiling Material where it meets the glass. But what you’re doing looks better.
The one I'm using is the Tesmat privacy screen. It's supposed to cover all the windows but I modified it by cutting out half of it, so now I can just the the suction cup portion.
Do you use/find free wifi to do you editing or do you hotspot your MacBook from your phone and it you do how much hotspot data do you comes with your plan? Also how do you make money living out of your car, remote work? Thanks :)
I go to the library for intensive internet needs and sometimes video editing as well. Some other times I go to a food court in a mall. I do freelance video work from time to time, but mostly living out of my savings atm
Lots of nice solutions. How much did you end up using your cooking gear? Lived in my car for a month this summer, but I used my cooking gear zero times. Ate precut bread, raw fruit and veggies, snacks, eating out/takeaway, etc. Ended up prioritizing other things than cooking. Just felt sort of like a hazzle to unpack everything, cooking, then cleaning stuff.
Thank you! I use the system pretty much everyday as I do enjoy the process of cooking and it does make my meal more enjoyable because of the efforts. However in rainy weathers, which is petty much everyday here in PNW winter, I find myself eating out all the time or just quick bread/ simple foods.
I wasn't conformable enough to remove them because I didn't want to expose the motor and the high voltage plug. Also I don't have a place to store the seats if removed.
Thanks Khalil! I do save on rent but that money goes to the car payment instead. Absolutely best thing is being able to travel anywhere! No, I haven’t made a pro and con video. Will put that into my notes and do one in the future 👌
I'm looking at getting an inverter for my Model 3, why did you decide to get the 300W one? Do you worry about it drawing too much power? The power socket should provide 12a * 12v (or 16v for newer cars) from what I can see, 12a*16v = 192W, isn't the 300W too much? Thanks in advance
That’s true, the 300W has way too many watts, i didn’t realize that. At the time, I was looking for one that has 2 AC plugs and the lower watts only has one.
Hey there, really nice setup! I was wondering what kind of lights you use that attach to your tailgate? I know they are battery operated but I can't seem to find them in any of your gear lists. thank you for the help!
So cool. Last week I found a way to re-used my handmade Model X camper-units to serve as a temporary kitchen unit in my new home, as I'm still looking for a new kitchen. It feels like camping, but then in my own house :-) Its that I have a school-going kid and need to finish my house, but otherwise I would have been building my Y-camper now and head out for the summer, and travel Europe unplanned. Man, Jealous with a capital J is how I feel ;-)
Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing, I also live in Ontario, northern part and I'm actually looking for a model Y. I would like to get in contact with you for more questions but Instagram doesn't let me. Looking forward to meet you on the road somewhere!
The front unit is super fast ~3 mins to remove. The back is gonna be a pain because of its weight, most likely need 2 people to lift the whole thing out. If you down size the thickness of the wood, it'll probably be much easier to remove with just one person.
really enjoy your videos... could you please do some videos about daily cleaning (yourself :D) how do you handle small and big toilette ? Thank you so much for inspiring :)
Damn bro! You have amazing content!!! Is it long range or performance??? I do have two Y long with my wife. How is your battery over time? And when can you do over all review with miles driven in snow climate?
I’m using the Tesmat Privacy Screen but modified by cutting it in half. A better and cheaper way to do it is probably buying two suction cups and attach it with a black cloth.
Where do you park at night to sleep? Have you been vandalized? Ticketed? Harassed? If you had an EV6 or Ioniq5 you could plug right into 110v for your microwave or induction plate and get rid of that propane. You could even us it for a small heater for your tent.
Sometimes I park on the street, sometimes at parking lots, sometimes at free L2 chargers, sometimes in the wild. I've gotta a ticket when parking on a zoned street and got kicked out twice at semi-private parking lots. Yes! that's a really nice feature on the EV6/Ioniq5, wished Tesla had one in the Model Y.

Thank you Paul!
I'm already convinced by the video, there are simply more materials in the Tesla than I have in my caravan, I love that☯
Interesting! You must have more space in your caravan. Maybe the Tesla is smaller and it just looks like there are more stuff in a tight space
I saw a short video on tiktok and was very interested. And then I found your channel. Thank you and greetings from Montreal
This is just excellent! The opening was superb. Great job!

Thanks Oscar! Welcome to the channel!
Can you show how you do daily living such as restocking your food, water supplies? And a laundry day?
Hey have you thought about a 4-5 Kw inverter generator and a jerry can to top up your car?
Awesome setup! What were those three batteries you had that were near the inverter? I checked your gear list and didn’t see what they were.
Thanks Ashton! Those are the batteries for my DJI drone. It comes with 3 with their “Fly More” package.
This all seems very thought out. Do you have a parking place or something where you have a guaranteed place to stay? I wish you good fortune!
Thanks Doob! I’m staying wherever I go now, sometimes parking lots, sometimes streets, sometimes in the woods

Love your cinematography. I'm surprised you don't have a storage box on the roof of your Model Y.
Thank you! A roof box knocks out too much range, it's best to keep things inside.
Great detail. When I get a Tesla I hope to follow your example for camping.
Awesomeness 😃
When you live in a car, a very strong unpleasant smell appears. How do you deal with it?
Lots of nice solutions. How much did you end up using your cooking gear?
Lived in my car for a month this summer, but I used my cooking gear zero times. Ate precut bread, raw fruit and veggies, snacks, eating out/takeaway, etc. Ended up prioritizing other things than cooking. Just felt sort of like a hazzle to unpack everything, cooking, then cleaning stuff.

Have you thought having a 12v water boiler instead of a gas one?
No I have not, I don’t think the 12v in the car is powerful enough for that
@@LivinginTesla It is powerful enough, it just takes more than half an hour to boil water
Great video nice setup, I camp in my tesla model y performance all over florida. It just doesn't better 😃
awesome video. funny to have fuel bottles in the EV though xD
Very nice. Question. Are you concerned about the propane tanks in the frunk if there is a collision? Is it safe?
That's certainly a concern and definitely not safe during a collision. I have since removed it and switched my cooking system to induction
Great video. Where did you buy the white rollable table I saw in your other videos? Thanks!
Fruble? frunktable.com
@@LivinginTesla Not the fruble. There was this white table that you assembled where you can fold it. Thanks.
@@busyfeet7197 hmmm, I can only think of the home-made frunk table before it became a product. This one? th-cam.com/video/lo1UkuA-YF4/w-d-xo.html
Wow that's a really nice build you have and so brave of you to start such a big adventure.
Thank you so much, appreciate it!
Did you consider removing the backseats for the build? And if so, why didn't you?
I wasn't conformable enough to remove them because I didn't want to expose the motor and the high voltage plug. Also I don't have a place to store the seats if removed.
This is pretty cool. Thinking f getting a Tesla & driving all over US
That'd be really awesome!
I think it makes more sense to use an electric cooking stove since you already have that inverter.
Hoping to switch in the future!
Im thinking about doing this too! Looks like it saves a lot of money and also allows you to travel a lot! Have you made a pro and cons video yet?

How do you cook in heavy snowfall or rain? Would a tarp solution be possible to protect you a bit from the elements?
A tarp will be very helpful if you're in a forested area. In heavy rain or snow, I usually just use my Jetboil and cook simple meals inside the cabin.
DOPE build out
Thank you!
Amazing set up my guy! Awesome channel idea and life style. Do you have like a day job or just TH-cam?

Yes! They’re the drone batteries.

Thanks Graeme! There's so much more room, you'll love it!
NICE license plate too haha
Hey there, really nice setup! I was wondering what kind of lights you use that attach to your tailgate? I know they are battery operated but I can't seem to find them in any of your gear lists. thank you for the help!

@@LivinginTesla I see that now in the list, apologies for missing it! thank you for doing such diligent work!

consider putting a cargo carrier roof box
I’d prefer putting everything inside as cargo box will give a range hit. Used to have one a year ago 😄
I wonder if you would be able to do this in a regular diesel car.
Sure you can
Nice. Cooking using GAS. 😊
Great video and thanks for sharing what’s inside! Some useful insight!
Thanks Brian!
Have you considered a roof rack to store some stuff outside the car?
I had one when I was traveling in the model 3 but the box is quite a range hit so I decided to move everything inside instead
@@LivinginTesla yeah that’s true. I have one on my Y and it definitely hurts the range. I wonder if anyone makes a more aerodynamic roof box for EVs?
@@james.a hmm I’m not sure James. I think all boxes are probably not efficient, maybe the smaller the better?
