Hi..I have a set of aluminum Wheels American racing 18" x 9" wide...I need the Rears that are 9" wide to be 12" wide. Is it possible to do this ? Can you do it and if you can how much would it cost ?

Hi, Can you do this to the outside of alloy rims to create dish and a lower offset? I think the stock pepper pots run around +32 which your modification would have just made closer to +45
Doing the outside is a little more tricky. The wheel centre (the part where the wheel studs go) is not joined to the wheel rim in the middle of the wheel. The centre is attached to the outer rim close to the bead rest, in order to widen the wheel you would have to find a doner rim with a wide outer rim, (the part near the bead rest). The weld would then be visible as you would be welding on the bead rest part of the wheel. The Toyota Hilux I used have that wide bead rest area, which is why I kept them after I cut the back off. You can see the wide front of the wheel in the video.
