It's been half a lifetime since we did Storm updates by the gross year after year, but IIRC the updated '95 cylinders used the same nicasil cylinder as the stock '96 Storm and the same 'C' series pistons, not that any of it is going to be easy to find anymore. The pressurized cooling system update was important too on those, but doubt you'd find the parts still if it hadn't been done way back when. Took some work to match the mach-z and thunderchickens, but we managed to have some fast 1000ft Storm's in the stable over the years. Nice to see survivors still around.
The first time I seen an Ultra. I notice the carb boots were different location and the water pump gear driven different location vs the belt driven pump above starter. I begin to gravitate from the triples to liberty twins. when i first seen Polaris new CRC front suspension i was sold. The IFS bolt snap on older wedge it was not a hassle to get out but if it was rusted and seized heat or drill the bolt out. The gen II 800 triple crc front suspension was pretty cool
Man ,I wish I could bump into a deal like that . Nice sleds!! Those old muscle wedges go for a lot around me , unless it's an XLT , those are pretty reasonable.
Todd, love watching your content, it’s like revisiting my sledding past. Stimulated me personally getting a vintage sled…97 xcr red rocket… still trying to track down a few parts to get it complete, wonder if you know anyone that would have nos or good condition parts available for this sled… keep those triples greasy!
Great finds guys! Sounds like Taylor sold his Red Rocket. Wonder what he did with that 92 650 Pumpkin he had on the trailer in the first video? Awesome seeing a true survivor Ultra! Cheers guys 🍻🍻🍻
It is hard in a "comment section", But I would love for you to school me on the Ultras. People say: They are heavy, not much for HP gain...etc, ect. I always loved their looks and sound.
I would say the 97 ultra sp. It's an extra 10 single pipe. I own one and it's a real trail friendly sled. My 22 year old daughter rides it when I'm not.
Curious where Taylor bought his other 95 Storm SKS from? I sold my dad’s to a guy years ago from MI and it was mint original owner. I think he may be the guy but I’m not sure. We still have my dad’s 2000 XCR 800 he bought new as well. Dad is 80 now and doesn’t ride anymore.
I didnt realize some years were 1yr only parts.........im looking at a 1993 750 storm. Its super clean but id imagine parts are few and far between forntgat one too. Your thoughts? Thanks for all the great content!!
That ultra made it to 2024 without seeing road salt now she’s taking a cross country trip. I’m sure he’s gonna give it a bath when he gets home but still
My 98 XCR 440 only had 10 less hp than that 96 ultra in stock form. It would eat stock XLTs for breakfast but im guessing his XLT with a turbo would have handed my 98 its ass 😂

Taylor scored on these for sure. The Colorado mountains are going to appreciate hearing those.
Yes he did for sure
I still have my all original 96 ultra SP. Just under 1400 original miles! It's been a lot of fun over the years.
Dang
Awesome! It’s great to see guys jacked up about old Polaris sleds!
Doesn't take much for us 😁

His buddy Josh bought the 92. Taylor was just the delivery guy for it.
Oh ok! I’ve got a 92 Pumpkin already and am always on the lookout for more! lol
I own two 1993 Indy Storm 750 s and they are hard to find parts for , the water pumps are the hardest to find Todd
Do some videos on them...the only year they were 750s too
I have a private stash of the storm water pumps 😁
@@toddclyne3493 if I need one I know who I'm calling 😁

I have several of them. Yes from the factory they left a lot of HP on the table. With triple pipes they are an animal. Stock they run well also
Nice scores
Absolutely
Nice finds on those 2 though
They are both awesome
Love what you do !! Just curious what your favorite year Ultra is and why ? Take care 🍺🍺

Yea I’d agree. For the same reason.
Man those things are sweet
Yes they are

@@teds1579 that's a rocket ship of a sled.
Any advice on srx Yamaha ?
Sorry man but I don't
Can’t beat Ford pickups and Polaris sleds.
😆😆 right about that
Triple's ❤

Yes very hard to find 750 parts. Most people just put an 800 in them
I have a 95 and 97 storm. My 95sks is most dependable sled. I have 99 xcr 800 to
Nice line up
I'd rebuild the water pump on the ultra. Sounds alittle noisy.
Standing next to it I really didn't hear anything but yes he is for sure
Very nice!
Thanks
That ultra made it to 2024 without seeing road salt now she’s taking a cross country trip. I’m sure he’s gonna give it a bath when he gets home but still
He'll over clean it when he gets home 😁
Where u live minnesota? If so same here buddy
Yes mn
@toddclyne3493 hell yeah dude
I need help with 96 xcr sp

He's working on the tuning. I'm guessing it will scream once he figures it out 😅
That thing is pimp. No doubt about it.
Yes it is
Todd its so nice i would of fell on my ass upon arrival lol nice score for sure
