A. I would love to hear them say that this is a "Music only Woozi can do"
Q. What is the part you most took care of while producing Ruby?
A. I worked hard to make a song that is completely different from Woozi but at the same time the same as Woozi. I wanted to show that the completely different 'me' is also the complete 'me.'
Q. What is special about Ruby?
A. It has a very strong charm to it. The whole song itself is like when seeing a beautiful jewel and being atteacted/fascinated to it.

I definitely think its live instruments. His played drums at a concert (can't remember if it was Ode to You), he knows how to play the piano and guitar. I wouldn't be suprised if it all him playing the instruments live. The song is 🔥🔥🔥

TTT - the thirteen mixtapes consist of all of their solo songs. So track number one is Hoshi's spider and Ruby by Woozi is track number two. And this will continue. I dont know if the8 and Jun's recent releases are considered to be part of this TTT Mixtapes because they didn't said Mixtape when Jun and Minghao released their solo songs (i bet it didn't). So we will still got 11 members to complete this Mixtape.

@@isalvim im well aware of that, they always name their unreleased stuffs as mixtapes but i was referring to everyone talking about this "mixtape" the members have been releasing but its only one song. So if you view it to make it more matchable to the "mixtape" concept, to what a mixtape actually is, this whole idea of releasing one song per each member to complete the "mixtape" is makes sense.And it matches the concept of this whole "the thirteen tapes" project. Pledis announce it right after Hoshi's spider released so yeahh idk.
It's not always easy to predict what kind of music Woozi will be making knowing his beautiful mind, but still never fails to surprise us all.

I see they told you in a comment already, so yeah...he had us all on our toes, and gave us a 2min 44 seconds song. He definitely knew what he was doing. I was honestly surprised at being surprised, but I was SO surprised when that transition happened after the intro, and then when the English lyrics kept going I was just like, "holy sh*t, he's doing it." I liked it well enough at first but I loved it at the second listen.

Mingyu and Wonwoo's is not a mixtape hehe. It's an official single. Ruby is the second mixtape from their TTT (The Thirteen Tapes) next to Spider.

Preface: Woozi is one of my two ultimate biases, so it was HIGHLY UNLIKELY that I wouldn't like Ruby - however, I'm also not one for blind adoration, regardless of quality/issues/etc., even for my biases.
That said: RUBYISAMAZINGANDIAMNOTOK. 🤯🤩🥴🥰😍🤪 He's said that Ruby is the answer to the question, "Who is Woozi, the artist?" and I'm so proud of him for showing us this side of himself. And if anybody still just thought of him as "the cute short one" from SVT, after watching this they'll have no choice but to acknowledge that he's "the HOT AF short one." 🥵😆 That is one fine specimen of a man & it's time he got the recognition he deserves. 😘 Anyway, you might as well add "listening party" to the title, PD, cause Ruby's all there is. 🙃

This man definitely knows what he's doing...how dare he play with our hearts just like that T_T...Anyway, I loved this song and was really surprised at first that the lyrics are all in english but it didn't make me cringe nor had the feeling that the song sounded strange. He did excellent job with everything and I didn't expect less from him !
It was wonderful. And I agree, it’s very Jet like or even Cold War Kids. Woozi is very talented and I’m thrilled we are finally being able to see what his brain would create, if it was just him.
In the Description of the MV, there's a list of credits for the instruments too, strings, guitar and bass. There's also for synth.
The classical sort of intro seamlessly transitioning into rock song with that one drum beat is insanely good. Truly one of the most unique intros I have ever heard in a song. It literally has me in a chokehold. Woozi and the production team's creativity instincts are so impressive.

I was waiting so much for your reaction/review !! I thought that the MV could have some shots with an angular length/fish eye too. But whatever. I loved the Rockstar-Fashion Show vibe. So classy, so fancy, minimalist. BUT THE SONG: OMG! IT BLOWED MY MIND! I couldn't believe what I was listening in the first row, but when I played again the song keeps getting just better and better, so freaking addicting! The raw bands instruments is my favorite thing, It's like a homage and a statement from where he came before and also in SEVENTEEN: a musician.
He did say during a live that he purposely made the song short so that people could listen to it over and over. Well, Mr. Woozi, it is VERY effective.
