Ford Australia was the first company to produce an Australian Coupe ute (Short for "Utilility" vehicle) which was released in 1934. If the owners manual says to use Premium Fuel for your car then yes you need to do so. Damage to the engine can occur due to insufficiant octane for the engine's design.
The last year of the El Camino, I was looking to buy a SS model. It was gorgeous but the dealership had an additional $15K markup. The salesman told me that it would be a collector vehicle the very next year. I listened to him Lie to me for awhile and he was telling me that this time the following year it would be worth double their asking price, blah, blah, blah. He guaranteed it. Kids 5 to early twenties love my 1996 Town Car with gold chrome. Maybe because they've never seen them in big numbers. It's pretty funny. People older than that couldn't care less.
The El Camino is technically a Malibu/Monte with a bed. It's part of the G-Body family, some of them were also wagons, so I guess you can make that comparison.
I haven't been able to watch all this but I will when I get home from work.. I just wanted to comment and say I'd love to have an El Camino SS like that! I've always wanted one really and the Dixie horn makes it even better!!
'59? Aren't they gorgeous? Still had the iconic tail-lights and fins. Dinky made a turquoise one with white roof. Then they made a set with it and two trailers! I yearned for one.
Actually the station wagon has a 2inch shorter wheelbase the frames are not interchangeable .The variable weight rear springs are exclusive to the El Camino as well as the factory air shocks. Most of them have the air shocks removed.
In my childhood and teenage years i lived in Los Angeles 1986=1999 and i saw a ton of El Caminos. All kinds, old ones, cholo style, original condition and race modified. And I always wanted one!! Nice car

The only thing I’m mad about it those taillights. I love my El Camino
I have an 83 from Arizona 78k on the clock even the power antennae works owned it for 23 years
with no fan shroud it may overheat rather easily ..
Better than I remember my dad’s. But I loved that one too
Kids 5 to early twenties love my 1996 Town Car with gold chrome. Maybe because they've never seen them in big numbers. It's pretty funny. People older than that couldn't care less.
Awesome showcasing your grandson's Hotrod!👍
The El Camino is technically a Malibu/Monte with a bed. It's part of the G-Body family, some of them were also wagons, so I guess you can make that comparison.
I haven't been able to watch all this but I will when I get home from work..
I just wanted to comment and say I'd love to have an El Camino SS like that! I've always wanted one really and the Dixie horn makes it even better!!
Yeah... drive through the black part of town honking that horn.
Love the Camino. My first one was a 59 then a 64 and I’ve owned two 79’s and my last one was an 82. All of them modified and now highly missed!
Nice car
My dad had a 1979 El Camino and it would go anywhere. Nice soft ride…
LOL 😂 . Really loved my used rusty Chevy El Camino I bought for a winter car in the early 80's 😊 in Rochester, NY area. Wonderful for snow driving 🚘. 😅.
Sounds gak. Flow master 40 dual in dual out needed badly with larger diameter pipes. The setup now has too much backpressure.
Damn. I miss my ElCo. Always loved that G body shuffle
Wish I still had my El Camino. Mine was an '83 but had a dangerously underpowered V6
They were good vehicles those years. I had a friend who had one with the 327 V8.
My friend had a 75 with a 350
I had a '58 with a 409.
I had one back in high school back in the early 2000's. 84' el camino and was mint. Original 305 dog w/ac. Bought it for only 5k. Would be worth alot more now
