Interviewer was so rude, kept interrupting, and questions asked are not very intellect. After watching this video, it really brought me to a whole new level of understanding Mayiduo’s high eq based on the way he responded and answers to interviewer qns.
The ‘concept’ of the show labeled as ‘grilling’ doesn’t necessarily need an interviewer or what seems more like an ‘interrogator’ holding such a strong poker face while blatantly firing questions in a tonality that comes across as extremely judgemental
I think what this video does, allows homeowners to understand alot. At a business point, which business doesn't wanna be profiting? simple logic, deconstruct sg is also a business, do you think what Chris or Deconstruct is doing here is not profiting? yes their concept on helping homeowners learn and understand the industry and preventing scam and all is well thought, but at the end, if they don't profit from it, it doesn't make sense. For Owners, if an ID quoted you a price that you couldn't accept just move on and try to find someone that fit in your budget and communicate with you well (aka chemistry is good). Pressuring by saying 20% -25% is too high etc, is the same as your employer saying paying you 4-5k monthly is too high which you will be thinking to yourself that you worth heck alot more.(which most will always think that way). So if the margin is not right for the IDs, do you think they will pay attention or handle your project with being more care? Yes and No, its a risk.(like what mayiduo mentioned 学做人） but put yourself in the exact same position, if you think that you are doing alot in your cuurent JOB, but your boss is paying you (what you felt) is low or not right, will be happy and work more wholeheartedly? So its simple, if you and your partner is earning on an average 4k/mth, what do you think the IDs should be earning /mth throughout your project? if is a 3mth project(exclude the preparation of 2mths) then i believe 3.5-4k/mth is just about right, 9-12k for your project is just about right amount. This is personal opinion. Im genuinely believe that are alot of good IDs/contractor/project managers that want to get the house done up nicely. but sadly there lots of blacksheeps out there that plague the industry.

It's pretty uncomfortable looking at the interviewer asks questions it's like he is bear grudges on the ID firm of the guest or the guest himself. Why is he so angry with him? Its so confrontational. He is so rude always trying to go against the answers given by the guest.
