I’m 47 years old. I’ve been loving the Cerave Retinol. I use it every night for 2 years. I’ve used the dermatologist retinol & other brands, but the Cerave is my favorite!
Omg you are so cool, you are so easy to listen to, and so much info in one video. I am a new subscriber, and I'm glad I found you (I prefer woman docs, but YOU I'd definitely go to as well)! Keep it up Doc!
Thank you so much for the affordable options. I've been using either the Cerave Retinol or Neutragena RWR for about 4 yrs now and really like them both. I really appreciate this video!
I'm 63 and I like using Naturium Retinal .11% . I get it through Target and it is effective without the irritation I sometimes experience with retinol. I also like the Maelove Moonlight Retinal serum. It isn't "drugstore" but I really like the formula and a $40 bottle last of me about 2 months.
I love my Kiehl's Daily Micro-Dose Retinol...but it is pricey. I gift it to my 40 yr old daughter twice a year. I am not a fan of the type of pump. When you actually can open the bottle ...there is a lot of waste. So I retrieve it, and I get a few more applications. Their pump is a bad design. I am a fan of CeraVe "almost" everything. Thanks for the video.😊
I just got this for my daughter too. I thought tretinoin might be too purging for her. This doesn’t irritate her skin. We’re hoping it’ll help with clog pores on her forehead❤
Hey Dr. Sugai! On your suggestion, I started Cerave Resurfacing Serum for texture, pore congestion, and hyperpigmentation. After 3 months of nightly use, I am happy with the results and had no negative reactions. What may be a good next step up-- or maybe does Cerave has one in in the works? Thanks!
I have been using Remedy form a dermatologist you know. I like it a lot, but there are so many products out there that we girls revolve and try. I will be buying a 2nd bottle of Remedy which has lasted over a month so far. The Olay creams in a tub, they are all good. There are so many. Olay has the money for research and development. I bought that French brand A313 or something like that and it’s a no for the face but I use it on my knees and the tops of my hands until it runs out.
I usually use CeraVe, I have for over a year, but do you think L'Oreal's revitalift pure retinol is good? I had no adverse reaction to cerave's at all btw.
You didn’t mention retinaldehyde🤷♀️ I’ve been using the Naturium.1% and enjoying it and the positive changes. Started with the .05% for 3 months and moved up.
Love the explanation and product recommendations👍🏻👍🏻 but have a question: as living in a country with humid climate, do I need to use moisturizer after retinol if I feel kinda greasy applying certain retinol products? (Been using Paula’s Choice 0.3% & 1% retinol, and never experience peeling problems)
So being in my early 30s, would.kond of skincare regimen would I need? I would guess 1. Cleanser/exfoliate 2. Vitamin C serum 3. Moisturizer with spf 4. Eye cream and 5. retinol?
What do you think of Goldbond's retinol body cream? Also, I was reading a lot of reviews for retinols and came across anecdotes of people experiencing severe headaches from using them and also articles on the connection between headaches and retinol use. It kinda scared me from using them. I just wanted to hear your thoughts, Dr. Sugai. :)
Gold bond body moisture with retinol works great!! I see a big improvement especially on my hands. Using strong retinol for years, no one can tell I'm 70.
I was using the more expensive reversal retinol for about 6 or 7 months and just kept breaking out... I switched to the cerave and have noticed a marked improvement. I'm 43 with combo skin
How do u get rid of blackheads in ur nose. However I been cleaning my face every nite with Mr Teals toner then using night cream of cerave. I’m 67 yrs old and looking for simple regiment; pls advise
I am currently using ROC and my skin looks even toned, but sometimes I wake up with drier and wrinklier skin. And then the wrinkles just disappear. It's so weird. I have never had this using another product. But the skin texture overall is amazing.
Will the Cocokind help with the sun damage on my arms? My skin isn't crepey (yet), but I do have freckle type spotting that I would love to make less obvious.

After finishing my first bottle of CeraVe retinol, where I applied it three times a week, I’m planning to buy a second one. How often should I apply it each week now that my shin has gotten use to it?
@@michellemeliser444 you are absolutely correct and in hindsight I may have started out that way as I do have rather sensitive skin but I’m also very impatient, so I probably didn’t do that very long. Once I realize my skin isn’t having a negative reaction I generally go ahead with it. 😬
Azelaic acid, vit c are ones that derms recommend. There are several derms who have pregnancy videos and have gone through pregnancy themselves like Dr. Sam Ellis (she has an entire playlist), Dr. Jenny Liu, Tea with MD, etc.

Any Clinique fans may want to know that last year around Black Friday they did 50% off their whole site, including their retinol!

Such an easy guy to listen to. Your great Daniel. I’ve learned so much PLUS, my son’s name is DANIEL! 😊
Thank you for such an informative video 👏. I appreciate you making complex information so approachable. Keep up the great work! 😊

Love your videos good information hi from Australia 🇦🇺
I use Naturium Retinaldehyde with elf peptide moisturizer.

A few derms who've recommended the gold bond are dr dray, dr. jenny liu, dr. idriss, etc.
Gold bond body moisture with retinol works great!! I see a big improvement especially on my hands. Using strong retinol for years, no one can tell I'm 70.
No7 also has a.3% is that better for people who have been using retinol for a while?
kindly recommend facewashes too like you helped so much after saying moisturizers.
Cocokind also has retinoid product for the face, beginner retinol complex (.05% retinol, .025% retinal, .025% granactive retinoid).
I was using the more expensive reversal retinol for about 6 or 7 months and just kept breaking out... I switched to the cerave and have noticed a marked improvement. I'm 43 with combo skin
Open jars, always use a clean spatula available in the dozens on amazon
I’ve used the L’Oreal revitalift and it’s ok but I’m thinking of trying ROC now to see if it’s a bit stronger.
How do u get rid of blackheads in ur nose. However I been cleaning my face every nite with Mr Teals toner then using night cream of cerave. I’m 67 yrs old and looking for simple regiment; pls advise
Hi Dr Sugai, should I use adapalene and retinol alternatively? Thank you
Some derms say it's fine and some derms say to pick one and stick with it.
I am currently using ROC and my skin looks even toned, but sometimes I wake up with drier and wrinklier skin. And then the wrinkles just disappear. It's so weird. I have never had this using another product. But the skin texture overall is amazing.

My problem with Neutrogena skincare is fragrance. I bought a Neutrogena retinol product and returned because it was so scented.
YOU CAN GET THE NUTROGENA RETINOL IN FRAGRANCE FREE!💗I LIKE THIS ONE!😘
Im 63 and have a prescription for retinol from Curology. What is your opinion their retinol? Thank you for your video 😊

@ oh okay! I remember that he said in few videos that if you are using it first time and have sensitive skin star with only 3 times a week!

Does using retinol for your arms affect tattoos
I've been using the Olay Retinol for about a year now. I LOVE this product!
What can be substituted for retinol when pregnant??

Is retinol best heal for post acne scar

I get this at CVS using a 30, 35 or 40% off coupon, a really good deal.
The Ordinary has a retinal 0.2%.
@ I did that the last time I had rewards and 40% off it was great, feel like I got it for free
I guess I should just take advantage of that each time….i love Avene but I could never find the stronger one at cvs, and I would like to step it up now after a year, but the 0.5 % has been wonderful
Gold Bond retinol face and body lotion is good
Advanced clinicals is another drugstore body retinol.
Took 🎶 notes! 😅
please share oestrogen face cream
Those are by prescription. Emepelle has a non-hormonal one that some derms have recommended.
The No7 retinol products are really nice to use. I like the 0.3% - no irritation and just a very nice texture and I like the inclusion of peptides.
I`m 74 and been seeing great results using Drmtlgy C E F serum - can you suggest a less expensive serum?
