Made these today with 2 differences. I used turkey sausage for the meat, and I used pork panco instead of regular Japanese panco. These are so yummy!!! Thank you for the recipe!
Because Tatyana only uses a half-pound of sausage for her mushroom, I will be able to use a half-pound of ground sweet Italian sausage for my pound of whole white mushrooms and still have enough for a second pound of mushrooms. I will only be using shredded sharp cheddar in the mixture, but will blend that with Gouda and Parmesan when I have more money to use. The recipe is easy to follow, so I will look forward to oven-baked stuffed mushrooms. I love mushrooms, but have been without them for the year I have been in a boarding house, so this recipe and the ingredients I bought will bring joy to my table tonight. It's just too bad I could not afford a bottle of Pinot Grigio to accompany it.
These cheese and sausage stuffed mushrooms are delicious and excellent choice for a holiday treat. Even though I don't eat mushrooms, at the same time, can't resist with cheese. 💖
Hi! Yes, these are great for reheating the next day. I did that over the holidays and they tasted great the next day, too. Enjoy! If you want them to be super fresh, you can assemble the mushrooms on the baking tray and refrigerate, then bake when ready

Hi Frank! It's one of my favorites! You'll need 1/2 pound of ground chicken or turkey. Season the ground meat as it's cooking with extra salt, pepper and a few herbs. Enjoy!

G🍄🍄D Day 🧑🍳 Chef. MMM MMM MMM. Those look fabulous. You really know how to prep the mushroom, so many places I've worked do not take the time. Cook'em drain and dry. I've seen them done with raw mushrooms and they become a watery mess. Loved your stuffing and the topping. I do the same with a seasoned crumb topping. Around here in Amish Land Pa all the restaurants do crab 🦀 stuffing, BLAH. And you have to charge a lot. I like sausage you used. When I was in NYC I would get a chicken sausage with broccoli rabe, roasted red pepper and parmesan cheese. I also used the stems but added ricotta cheese instead of cream cheese. A low budget stuffing I make is the stems, chopped spinach and Genoa salami and lots of Parm and mozzarella. Crumb topping.
