Real stone is great look. But can be very costly, which is were veneer comes in as a more affordable option.
But there are ways (like adding Stone Corbels) that enhance the look of veneer, to give you a look that rivals what you would get in using whole stone.
Roger takes us through his simple and effective method to give you a beautiful result.

Right on! i love this way of life. working on lakes and fishing on lakes on the weekend! how do you manage through the winters? we only work about half the time during the winters, since outdoor work is nearly impossible. but icefishing fills the void

wow we live parallel lives 2000 miles apart! ill be turning 40 in week. my weakpoint is my right wrist, from chipping stones. not sure how long it will last. some days i seing the hammer with the left...but that gets pretty stupid looking. i used to have 4 to 5 employees each summer, but with all the covid complications it is just 3 of us working, with a crazy amount of work to do, but we have been pacing ourselves and just picking jobs we want to do....or jobs that give us good access to icefishing!!! :-)

Good stuff. Those corbels are not going anywhere. High end masonry the only way.
