35:14 You did get an Agitator for Homesteading, but instantly retired him at 20:48 by choosing Option 1 in the "Infertile Grounds" Event. Option 2 exiles him, Option 3 keeps him
The AI forming Empire of Japan in 1853 is going to be very interesting moving forward in this campaign. It might be best to either take them out early or establish a long-term friendship.
@@Taz200 I'd say around 40 and above. It's very rare to see a younger guy be into model trains, but it's almost a guarantee that at middle-age and above they will, at one point, like the choo-choos.
@@Taz200 especially given your family history as you stated, you are more the exception that proves the rule then. Also not saying this to you but as a response because I'm sure someone is going to bring this up, young kids do like toy trains as well, I'm specifically talking about the miniature model sets that take a little bit to build.
Romanticism should ve been the very first priority for you, as it unlocks Agrarianism. Chinese landowners do not oppose agrarianism, and also Qing starts with over 500 manor house levels, so it is very strong for very long time as Qing to stay on Agrarianism, before moving onto laissez-faire
Often times I will game the Interest Group buffs by increasing the military budget or bureaucracy budget to max to get the opinion boost then reducing it back down to keep the interest group buff. Most buffs require a +5 or +10 interest group approval to obtain but then only a +3 or +8 to maintain, respectively. So if you increase your budgets to get the buff you can then decrease your budget to maintain the buff.
You might actually want to wage some of those petty wars of expansion you were talking about, just to take over more of southeast Asia. They'll give you more access to resources that you'll want---I know you said you didn't feel the need, but you might wish you'd grabbed it later! You'll be able to do it now, and will probably struggle later (especially as more European powers get involved in colonial conquest in the game's next few decades)
How did you know exactly how many construction sectors to build (at about 23:30) in order to go from that healthy profit to a slight deficit? Was it luck or did you see something that made you enqueue that exact amount?
They should make it so that Railways gives an infrastructure bonus to Railways in neighboring provinces and another bonus to Railways neighboring their neighbors that aren't their own neighbors.
Does Quill... not know that you can try to bring whoever you want into the government? You aren't limited to the three "highest legitimacy" shortcuts. Especially in China, as long as you include the Scholar-Officials you can pretty much pull in any other single party without too much trouble. They won't have a lot of power, but at least they'll be in the government!
Hi! Could you do a tutorial for complete beginners in Supreme Ruler 2030? No matter how much i search, i haven't found a good enough guide that explains everything about how to play the game. Thanks in advance!
Please not that the research cap only aplies to focused research, if you build unis above your techcap you will still improve you tech spread , you can go up to several hunderd as china no problem. That is extra tech as long as you are behind which is most of the game as china.
Puppeting is more complicated in Sphere of Influence. You really have to focus on appeasing your subjects if you want to reduce their autonomy or annex them.
You're thinking about interest like a consumer. Economic theory suggests while playing a game like this you should try to think of interest as smoke from a fire, if you want your economy to roar there is going to be a lot of it.

They expelled your diplomats pretty early on in the 1st episode.
1:51 You have no internal migration due to serfdorm, 8:15 Romantisism unlocks agrarianism so it does do much for you 🙂

24:00 and so Quill has become what all men of a certain age evolve/devolve into. A train enthusiast.
@@Mathmachine what age would that be?

@@Mathmachine that's awkward, I've been into trains from a young age and drove them for 9 years 😅 Helps that my family are involved in rail.

Quill needs fertilizer. Says, "Let's import some bullshit from France." Thanks for the good laugh!
