Really nice run. One trick you left out that can help a lot is getting corn laws. Move market capital to Formosa, delete port, trigger corn laws, then release Formosa as a subject to get your market capital back to the mainland. Edit: Oh, for anyone who does this, remember that free trade makes you lose the opium ban JE. Have to wait till it completes, so you probably don't want to day 1 this trick, hard to keep that guy alive for 5 years.
Another trick I learned trying this is sometimes they will have a primary demand on transferring Tibet. If you increase the autonomy of Tibet then the UK can’t take it.
@@idontlikerome2744 Yeah, which stacks with all the other reductions to infamy generation. Real easy to get it so conquering unrecognized powers doesn't give any infamy at all.
Another broken strategy as China is the Formosa corn laws strategy. If you move your market capital to Formosa and delete your ports there, you can get corn laws a lot more easily. When you pass Laissez-faire or Interventionism, your already huge investment pool becomes even larger. Your market liberal landowner will likely retire before you get free trade, but that part is not especially necessary. You will have to build more ports in other states beforehand, and immediately rebuild your ports in Formosa to rebuild your market. You’ll also need to exile other IG leaders when you get your marker liberal, so he remains the IG leader for longer.
20:20 when Colombia was forming its own national identity, there must have been a North Andean revolt, and Gran Colombia is the default North Andean country.
The Colonialism Mandate isn't a flat -5% infamy reduction, it's -5% per level of your colonialism institution So it's really good if have good tech, but completely worthless if you don't have some type of colonization
ive started palying as qing yesterday-i have a question-where did you get so much money and why arent landowners revolting over tenant farmers/homesteading?
i tried one time as Austria; the game goes veeeeeeeeeeeeeery Slow after 1900; at that time i dont have a good CPU, so the game crashed and my safe was broken.... good times (in the end i was entire Europe+Asia and Most of America)
I did it as Russia when the game first came out. There was a lot of crashes and slowdowns in the late game, but naval invasions are so broken you could capitulate anybody as long as you constantly build ships

You join one side in a diplo play and if you are powerful the other side will get scared so they will be more willing to give you something (such as becoming your subject) so then you switch to the other side

regarding the power bloc colonisation principle, it-5% infamy per level of colony institution, not just -5%
So its -25% in the end?

For the mandates I suggest the research one, it’s so good it up research and lowers ahead research penalties.
Especially useful for Qing when you absolutely abuse the 25% tech spread and university spam
