I think this is one of the best things they've done. Luscious harmonies, perfect percussion and amazing leads. And those bell tones behind Rob's first lead just knock me out every time.
You will really get a kick out of Life Is A Highway. It's fantastic as usual but it's also got their typical antics included. You'll love it. Great reaction as always. Thanks.
I listened to the version from Sing Off 2013 again. The guys were already great back then. But this version is perfect ... WOW ... ! Austin and Rob's voices are so wonderful and the harmonies so fantastic. Home Free gets better with every song. I love it! Great reaction!
Thanks for your reaction & analysis. I love this great classic song from Ben E. King back in 1961. The Home Free guys did an awesome version as always. Love their arrangement on this cover. Great vocal leads by Austin & Rob. Tim's bass really stands out for me in this one. And Adam's tasteful vocal percussion is on point.
Never thought I’d hear any version of Stand By Me to equal Ben E. King’s original, but HF has done it. And I don’t know how HF keeps getting better and better as time passes. This is one of the best they’ve ever done. Their gorgeous sound just wraps around me. Great reaction, Mortius!
I loved this analysis!! While I really enjoyed the song on its own (as always with Home Free!!), I found so much more to appreciate after hearing it through your ears, all the beautiful pieces that make up the whole. As a lover of music but not a trained musician, I often miss many of the intricacies that make Home Free's harmonies so beautiful and unique. Thanks for sharing your ear and your joy of music!
This has just taken first place from Mayday for my favorite HF song! And I love watching Rob & Austin lean into each other when they sing the last chords of the song! ❤
They are releasing a new album called As Seen On TV to celebrate their 10 year anniversary of their win on The Sing Off it will consist of all the songs they sang on the show and a few bonus tracks plus they are doing new videos for each song. They have also released from the new album. Oh Pretty Woman Life Is A Highway Cruise
They are just redoing the Sing-off songs once a week for their new album “As seen on TV” - maybe 10 coming out every week - not forever. It’s their 10 year anniversary from the tv show.
I didn't think anything could sound better than the original of one of my all time favorite songs, until Home Free put their magical touch to it. omg! It's so beautiful it gave me the electric shivers. It's like an electrical current throughout my body that gives me the shivers. Those beautiful bell tones were a sublime touch. Gorgeous. This went right to the top of my playlist. I'm not sure there is a sound Adam can't replicate. He's a beat box beast. I haven't smoked in 10 years, but at the end of this wonderment, I felt like I needed a cigarette. Hmmmm. Great reaction, as usual!!
I love this one! I heard that “water drop” sound too. Pretty cool. Those harmonies are exquisite. Love the bell tones and the slowed down part. So beautiful and Tim’s lows are wonderful. Good one Mortius!🥰😍
Definitely do Cruise. And sorry, Home Free always brings it better than any other group. They should have a day just for them. Austin has his adorable accent that's why it sounded like that.
Cold Hard cash cowritten by Austin and full of cheer written by Tim, and Chris Rupp featuring Home Free what Child is this should be on your Christmas list! 3 all-time Home Free favorites! I hope Home Free Christmas stuff is on the list for December! Home Free and the hound + the fox are my favorites for anything Christmas related!
One of the songs I have been listening to for as long as I can remember. (I'm born 1963) First the LP, later I always had it on one of my cassette tapes, then I got the CD and in recent years I usually have it on one of my playlists. Although many versions had been released in the meantime, it was usually the version by Ben E. King or Otis Redding. But from now on it is the version of Home Free that is on my playlist and no other. Alternating the lead between Austin's powerful voice and Rob's silky soulful voice just sounds so beautiful and fantastic. Then the unparalleled vocal percussion, truly phenomenal. The great bass, beautiful harmony and incredible backgrounds vocals are the finishing touch.
If you have a day where you feel a bit blue or tired then do Life Is a Highway. Cruise is awesome and If you do Pretty Woman then please do the sing off version first then slide right into the update because it really highlights how much they have grown in 10 years. Have fun and you won't want to miss what's coming.
Loved your reaction! Home Free is releasing a 10th anniversary of the songs they sang on the Sing Off. They re-recorded them all and have a video for each one. This one, so far, is my favorite. Second favorite is “Cruise”, third is “Pretty Woman”, fourth is “Life is a Highway”. They’re all really, really good though! This is a really fantastic cover. This one was performed on the 5th season when they returned as guests. They started out singing, then were joined by the judges one at a time, along with Nick Lechay. This is a similar arrangement, but with some Home Free flavor put in. Love this cover!
This is one of their Best and that says a lot !!! I cant stop listening to this song, I am very impressed that they can make a really good song that much better. Thanks Mortius for the reaction and analysis.
Once again, Home Free took a classic song, gave it their own little magic touch, and made it better than the original, IMO. They are masters at that! Great reaction!
Austin has loved and commented on my videos before so I’m sure he would understand the purpose and goal of a reaction and analysis video, unlike some folks in the comment section :)
There is so much movement in this arrangement. For what could be a repetitious ballad, it really keeps moving. Such beautiful voices, the bells!!, that last "chord"...
This is from the new album As Seen On TV. Which is their 10 anniversary of being on The Sing Off. So it's all the songs from that time. It comes out November 17th. They have also done Oh,Pretty Woman and Cruise so far. To my knowledge they didn't have a new video out last week. I always enjoy watching your reaction and analysis to their music.
It's wonderful to see Ben E. King's classic revived for new generations. The singing, harmonies & beatboxing, as always, are terrific. No frills or theatrics - just letting the music speak for itself. BTW, Austin also has a solo version of the song on his channel. I think you've also missed a new original "Remember My Name".
I don't think you've seen the rendition of this song with Straight No Chaser, Tim, Austin, Ernie Halter, Chris Chatham & friends th-cam.com/video/xz-a3pY8kdk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YBSKtJludgy7rMqa. Jaw-dropping!
The harmonies in this are so amazing and the smoothness with which Rob and Austin switch the lead back and forth always makes my chin drop to the floor, sometimes so quickly that my brain cannot catch up!😲 And those harmonies at different points in the song and the way they end, so beautifully! This is definitely a masterpiece, a wonderful upgrade from what they performed on the sing-off 10 years go which was great too! But this shows so much growth and maturity in their career!🎵🎶❤️🔥 Thanks Mortius for another great reaction!👍❤️👏
One of my favourite songs from my childhood (I was something like six when I first heard it, and I instantly fell in love with the song). I'm loving this!
This is so very awesome! The harmonies were outstanding especially when Adam Rupp joined in for a short time. I do believe Ben E. King would be proud. Love your reaction!
Loved this one by them. Austin slays me with his flips to high notes. The harmonies are exceptional too. They made Ben E. King proud who wrote and sang this song. Great reaction again Mortius
Great reaction to a great song. When you were talking about the h sound, I heard the wh sound, the whoosh. In their harmonys I could almost hear a xylophone. Just perfect.
Do I still prefer the original by Ben E King? Yes, because it takes me back to my childhood, but I also love this version. I think it’s OK to like both.
I think what you were trying to say is that Tim was avoiding the glottal attack of the "ah" and added the 'h' to make it 'hah' so it wouldn't sound as harsh?
You should check out one of Pellek's covers. Maybe his cover of 'True Survivor' from that Kung Furry movie. He does it with 33ERock playing the guitar for it. Its really good.
That's that Georgia accent, which gets stronger with age. 😀 If you listen again you'll hear the same pronunciation on the word 'long'. Edit: I almost forgot to say how much I enjoy your videos AND what a fun guy you are. You obviously love to dance and remind me of my dancing days...long before you were born.
I think this is one of the best things they've done. Luscious harmonies, perfect percussion and amazing leads. And those bell tones behind Rob's first lead just knock me out every time.
So glad you picked this one first...it's my favorite so far. For a great laugh, try "Life is a Highway," as your next choice.
Love it when Rupp gets to sing. The 5 together are just perfect for my ears…also Austin and Rob combo is amazing. Nice reaction. ❤️
I was surprised you didn’t mention the bell tones while Rob was singing! Really beautiful! Glad you’re back for some new Home Free.
You will really get a kick out of Life Is A Highway. It's fantastic as usual but it's also got their typical antics included. You'll love it. Great reaction as always. Thanks.
Nobody better than Home Free!! Ty for u reaction to the boys
Home Free did a beautiful job on this. And your reaction, as always, is priceless
I listened to the version from Sing Off 2013 again. The guys were already great back then. But this version is perfect ... WOW ... ! Austin and Rob's voices are so wonderful and the harmonies so fantastic. Home Free gets better with every song. I love it! Great reaction!
They're just too good , aren't they ? Love these guys ... they make my heart happy !
Thanks for your reaction & analysis. I love this great classic song from Ben E. King back in 1961. The Home Free guys did an awesome version as always. Love their arrangement on this cover. This was fun! I love watching the guys blow your mind. 😂 This belongs on mainstream radio. This is so good.
Great reaction and analysis to an outstanding cover version. I think your brain became Home-Fried for a second. That ending was great.
Great analysis. They continue to improve.
This has just taken first place from Mayday for my favorite HF song! And I love watching Rob & Austin lean into each other when they sing the last chords of the song! ❤
You just can’t watch this and not smile and dance along!!!❤

A classic in a new way ❤
I loved Cruise!!

Always LOVE your reactions to "our" boys!!❤
Definitely Life is a Highway next. It’s amazing all around, but Adam has a couple of moments that are just awesome.
Definitely do life is a highway, Rupp is something else
Definitely do Cruise. And sorry, Home Free always brings it better than any other group. They should have a day just for them. Austin has his adorable accent that's why it sounded like that.
These boys just keep getting better and better. This is beautiful.❤️❤️❤️
Sounds like you need to do us a Home Free Week. Lol. We would love that.
You definitely need to react to Life is a Highway. Such a great HF video - both due to the skill and the antics.
I always listen your analysis. But I don't like to comment. But now I do, cause I like to listen to you. Great job
Thank you!!

Gotta gotta GOT TO do pretty woman. Period. 😉🫠🙃🥰🥰

Welcome to Country Motown, Yes it's a thing. *chuckle First time I heard it I wept it is so beautiful.
Thanks Mortius! 🍟
I love your analysis. You always bring out things I wouldn’t pick up, then I hear them every subsequent time I listen to it.
Love #homefree

Austin is a Georgia boy, and, well, that explains a lot! 😊
You really need to react to cruise
That's how you say "come" in the south!
Well done! And it was lovely, but they seem to always be. Now, go get a cool drink and sit down to recover. :)
There is most definitely an overlap in those two audiences 😂
This is one of their Best and that says a lot !!! I cant stop listening to this song, I am very impressed that they can make a really good song that much better. Thanks Mortius for the reaction and analysis.
Must do Cruise and Life is a Highway! I wonder how long each of those reactions will be?? hmmm
Their harmonies are always Amazing ❤
Home Free upgrade their upgrades!! UNMATCHED #HomeFree #HomeFries
You make the best facial expressions.
❤ them 😊
#AustinFryAlways
Do HF LIFE IS A HIGHWAY on a day you need some laughs. The video is ... 'interesting'.
Once again, Home Free took a classic song, gave it their own little magic touch, and made it better than the original, IMO. They are masters at that! Great reaction!
Poor Austin, he can't even get the first verse out without interruptions. I hope he doesn't hold it against you. Mortius.
Austin has loved and commented on my videos before so I’m sure he would understand the purpose and goal of a reaction and analysis video, unlike some folks in the comment section :)
Cannot hear this enough!

Ga. accent on come he sometimes slips into it in speech.
The bell tones are my favorite extra!
Loved this one by them. Austin slays me with his flips to high notes. The harmonies are exceptional too. They made Ben E. King proud who wrote and sang this song. Great reaction again Mortius

That's Austin's accent!!!!
I think Home Free broke Mortius.
Thank you, Mortius, love your reactions!!!!❤
❤ Beautiful cover 😍 Enjoyed your reaction. 🤠🔥💯
Good reaction. Prioritize them all! 😊 #HomeFree never disappoints1
The best once again delivering as only they can!❤
I love your reactions, you hear things other reactors dont😊
Mortius ! You do this with an awesome
good enthusiasm and feeling
Love your Channel 🙏 / Michael
I think what you were trying to say is that Tim was avoiding the glottal attack of the "ah" and added the 'h' to make it 'hah' so it wouldn't sound as harsh?
Glottal!!! Yes, that’s the word that wouldn’t make it to my brain
You don't need the video to think this is a great rendition of this song.
🏠🍟
Awesome cover but always so gutted when nobody comments when Adam Rupp sings - He has such a lovely voice and we rarely hear it!
Need to do Austin’s Unchained Melody feat Sebastian Douyan. It’s incredible.
glottal attack is the term you are looking for.
You should check out one of Pellek's covers. Maybe his cover of 'True Survivor' from that Kung Furry movie. He does it with 33ERock playing the guitar for it. Its really good.
I don’t hear comb so much as adding kind of a u inflection as he slides up into a very pronounced M. More like co uM.
❤ ,,. Digging. Mitt navn er Nina,,fra NORGE 🎉
ONE FOR THE ALGORITHM.
If you haven't already, you should react to Peyton Parrish version of Go The Distance!
life is a bhighway
Austin didn't change the vowel. He closed early on the "m."
Can you possibly listen to Tales of a Shadow by Sail North, please?
That's that Georgia accent, which gets stronger with age. 😀 If you listen again you'll hear the same pronunciation on the word 'long'. Edit: I almost forgot to say how much I enjoy your videos AND what a fun guy you are. You obviously love to dance and remind me of my dancing days...long before you were born.
