      TRULY tho.
      This works so well.
Used it for very short clean DnB drums today, not just useful for HipHop/Trap (but especially)

This video is so neat. Fantastic overview! The part about tuning the kicks and 808 is much needed. I'm sending people over to this video whenever they ask about tuning drums.

Weak. All of you paint by numbers "producers" suck balls. If you are using presets, sample packs, drums created by someone else, you are not an artist. You are a consumer. What you are doing is one step above playing video games. Sucks that there are so many of you goons out there these days. In the 90s, it meant something to be a producer, and it required dedication, because you had to spend a few thousand dollars just to get a decent sampler. Now you clowns download cracked FL Studio and a bunch of drum packs, plugins, etc and drag and drop every component of your "music." If this is what you are doing, your beats are garbage and you're a fraud. I don't care how many suckers jock it.

    just discovered this:
put a drum sample into a sampler device, throw a lowpass filter and put it on "OSR" mode, put the drive up a lil bit and play with the cutoff, and then add the "sine" shaper and play with it until your transient sounds right.

Experiment. You have access to the tools. Instead of trying to bite someone else's technique, why not come up with your own way of doing things? Be unique. That's what art is all about. It's not about copying what this guy or that guy is doing and sounding as close to them as possible. It's about finding your own expression, and that means developing your own techniques.
