How can an experienced professional transition to FP&A? The finance field is vast and diverse so if one doesn't have the experience how and where do we start to build the necessary skills to move into FP&A in an organization?
Currently working closely with the cfo doing weekly and monthly monitoring reports (e.g payroll/sales/cashflow) as a fp&a but I still don’t understand what I’m doing. I feel like I’m just summarizing the data nothing more. What do you think would I do to improve my skill set?
You should focus on building core FP&A skills like Budgeting, Forecasting and Data Storytelling so that you are ready for your next role which is better.
I am working in BPS(Finance and accounting domain--BPO) in MNC for 5 years. I am Bcom(Hons). Which certification (US CMA/ CPA/or Any other course required to get job in FP&A?. I want to get job in FP&A. Please answer. I am thinking to study. Please suggest the course. I left study 9 years ago.
