Poor Jim Cuddy. I just tend to like more songs sung by Greg Keelor. I have a suspicion that Justin would too, as Cuddy is the one responsible for more hit-friendly, pop material (e.g. ballads like Try or catchy, happy songs like Somebody Waits). Greg's songs tend to be darker and much less predictable, like this one. On the other hand, I like all of Cuddy's solo projects much more than Keelor's single solo project. Reminds me of Gord Downie's one solo project, which should have just been issued as a book of poetry, rather than being placed to music. In both cases, it's as though the dark and quirky poets rely on their songwriting partners (Cuddy for Keelor and Bobby Baker and Gord Sinclair for Gord [RIP]) to help them generate tunes that the rest of us can enjoy (sorta like neuro-typical guardrails).
OK. NIce to hear that you are OK with a song that maybe camps the same chord for awhile... or even a long while... or even longer.. (but now I've said too much) 😙
God I love the Keelor/Cuddy vocals in harmony. Great band.
Oh yea, really good song and quite danceable as well, I like it. Thanks Todd and Justin.
Cool song. Simple but I like what they did with it.
Call me Dr Deep Cut...
Yeah, really nice. Thats new BR to me, thanks Todd,
I'm the guy who uploaded it I found the cd at a used store
Like this song. Nothing fancy, just nice story telling. Can’t decide if their country or pop or rock. I guess a little of everything.
