The Ambient lighting actually is sewn into the trim that goes around the entire bottom part of the front window along with the front and rear door lines....and its in green at night ! I just bought one of these 2 days ago ! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT !
I've tested one before. It's definitely so much nicer! I don't really mind the key fob or no push button start since a good ol keys is still as reliable.
I had a Tahoe for 11 years and loved it but I have to admit that I just love my 2016 Enclave. It is much more comfortable then I expected and I actually slept in the front seat and it was great. It folds completely down and I slept very well. It has everything that my Tahoe had and more. I have only owned GM's for the last 48 years and will stay with them forever. I was surprised that the key situation had not changed but that is okay. I have had On Star for over 14 years and will always keep a current account and phone number with them.
@ Tracy J Johnson You sound like you are right smack dab in the Buick Enclave target demographic. "Kids today with their new fangled key fobs and push button starters........back in my day, young fella......."
I find it numerous that NONE of the YT videos for the 2013-17 Enclave, GMC Acadia, or Chevy Traverse actually demonstrate playing audio out of the Bluetooth or USB inputs. Do that, set the volume to a good level to hear the music, and then switch to a radio station (XM/FM/AM). Actually, DON'T DO IT! You're likely to damage your vehicle's speakers and/or your hearing by doing so. Also, the head units in these vehicles are notorious for switch sources between leaving the vehicle and re-starting it later. If you were listening to a Bluetooth or USB input, it MIGHT go back to it when you re-start the vehicle. Or it might start up with the last heard radio station, and if the volume wasn't turned down when you left the vehicle, ouch!
We absolutely love our Enclave. We have owned many cars over our lifetime, including Lincoln, Cadillac, Oldsmobile, you name it, we probably owned one at some point in our life. The Enclave is our absolute favorite. Every conceivable option and luxury that is unsurpassed in any other car.
@ Terry Newman Every conceivable luxury except for that last century ignition key. Seriously....a 4G wireless Internet connection, but no push button start?
+J High Muh push button start! Turning key is so hard! I'm sure the 2017 redesign will have it to appease this petty criticism that pretty much everybody who reviews this vehicle whines about. I had push button start and a smart fob with a 2008 Lexus, and I don't miss it at all. It's a gimmick that doesn't offer a huge convenience.
I purchased one about 6 months ago just like this, same color and trim and wheels except it has all wheel drive and has the front plate holder. The only option that I could find it didn't have was a DVD player. It had 55,000 miles on it and was a dealer owned fleet vehicle that was never private owned. I have made a few trips to the north Ga mountains in it and love the manual electronic shift for extra engine braking. I have only put about 6000 miles on it (sits in my garage for pleasure driving only), I made sure and did all the maintenance service to it according to the manufacturer recommendations as soon as I purchased it. I have always keep all my vehicles maintenance current. Trust me by experience your vehicle and budget will thank you for many trouble free years and miles of service. Love my Buick Enclave and it is such a Joy and fun to drive. Great Video and makes me what to go out and drive mine just after watching you show it off!
Another important comment about the captain back seats I would like to add: On long trips (as of recently going to Las Vegas from LA), if it's just only two passengers in the back, you can fold the captain seats down and use them for leg rest. My girlfriend and her sister loved this, cause it was more room in the back, which made for a comfortable 5 hour ride for them. They sat in the third row, fold down the captain seats, use them to stretch their legs and rest on. Really like the Enclave, probably one of the best on the market or far better than some of the competition.
If the Enclave had more cushion in their seats it would make it a lot better seat, our 2016 Enclave leather seats are very hard uncomfortable like boards. My 2017 Ford F150 has Buick beat in comfort.
Nice detailed review as always Mike ! However, that key fob this car has looks like the same as an 08 Impala or something, GM needs to refresh their stuff lol :)
I have been waiting and following the Buick Envision for soooooooooo long. . Was glad to get the June up-date. Was disappointed that you have not released the color of interior and body. I understand it will not be on the floor until the last half of 2016.
On a business trip in Texas right now and I just rented one from Avis. My first time driving an enclave and I have to say Wow. Impressed a female friend who I took to dinner last night. Im now considering getting one. Such a smooth ride, quiet and great handling.
J High Yes, made a single mom after an assault. Nothing to really LOL about. & in spite of what statistics show, I'm doing very well & can afford an Enclave without putting a dent in my income. Thanks for the comment
+KaysTealRibbon This is a nice vehicle. Amazing that it has a 4G Hotspot and an ignition key. Buick has come a long way but they still need a few more upgrades.
I LOVE the Enclave/Traverse and Acadia but they are in dire need of a makeover. The quality of the Enclave is on par with BMW, Mercedes etc.. Ive just gotten tired of the same styling with minimal changes over the last few years. Ironically I had a Acadia (in the auto graveyard thanks to a Uhaul truck), My next door neighbor has a Traverse and the guy down the street has an Enclave. We all love(d) our vehicles. I would like to see GM keep the Traverse but also bring back the midsize SUV. Crossovers are great but sometimes you want a more rugged offroad capable vehicle. The Trailblazer/Envoys were great trucks.
Nice Job Mike Very good review. I owned one for 4 years and am ordering a new one. Good to hear about some of the new features from your description. Thanks for making the video.
I have one of these. They aren't THAT nice. A 1-year-old Acura is definitely a better buy. It's a budget luxury van and it does that well. It doesn't make any pretenses about what it is, it's a cheap luxury vehicle and I appreciate that. It doesn't try to fake a ride, it's not sporty, not fuel efficient, But it's very roomy and comfortable. Decently reliable other than the typical GM interior
A friend of mine has the 2015 Premium...when she shuts down the car, the drivers seat motors back....on start up the seat does not move and she must adjust it herself (she's short!) still unable to rectify after 2 months! Any suggestions would help!
Just purchased a 2015 Enclave & it has been nothing but problems. Compass wont calibrate the manual has you driving in circles & choosing 15 different zones & still does not calibrate. Doors wont unlock when you stop and turn off and remove keys. Only solution so far is manually unlock doors. The Driver Information Center (DIC) is not friendly at all & does not respond to touch only about 1/2 of the time. I have less than 450 miles on my car so far & its been the most frustrating 450 miles I ever drove. This is NOT my father's Buick. His worked as promised.
+Bob Dillow The problems you are sharing have more to do with the dealer you bought it from than the vehicle. The dealer should have calibrated the compass and went through all the options with you before letting you leave the lot. When I sold cars I would spend at least 30-45 minutes or more going over the vehicle and going through all the options one by one. You already paid the dealership to do this... they just didn't do it. I suggest going back to the dealership and talk to the General Manager about your frustrations.
Great review, however I think the Enclave is in sore need of a redesign, specifically the interior. This interior looks more like it belongs in a high-end Chevy. The interior of the LaCrosse is more elegant and doesn't go overboard with all the fake wood and chrome as with this Enclave. Now their target demographic probably couldn't care less about all this but IMO, the interior does a poor job reflecting its near $50K sticker. Colors are nice but the console/button layout and choice of materials could and need to be better.
it really stinks that people are starting to like Buick. they are no more luxurious than their church counter parts and by the time they could even begun to be considered luxury you're in the Cadillac area and they are so much better
Keep in mind, Cadillac does not have a crossover with a third row option. You'd have to upgrade to an Escalade which decreases MPG and can add another 10,000.
Luxury? Most so called Luxury such as Audi, BMW and Mercedes are not Luxury. They are overpriced marketing. Lexus for example are amazing cars that never break down yet they will cost nearly half that of a Mercedes. Can you give us an example of what you mean by luxury.
We own a 2016 Buick Enclave, it’s the most uncomfortable car we’ve ever had. !!! The leather seats are very hard , I like to sit in my seat not on them, I have a 2017 Ford XLT F150, it has a better ride and the seats are excellent to sit in. Sorry Buick, !!! you need to improve on your interior.
The Ambient lighting actually is sewn into the trim that goes around the entire bottom part of the front window along with the front and rear door lines....and its in green at night ! I just bought one of these 2 days ago ! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT !

We just bought one, 6 days ago and we love it. So comfortable and watching this video, I am learning more about its capabilities. Thank you!!
I just purchased one. I love ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Premium trim.

Mine has keyless remote start. I can start the car from 600 feet away and the air conditioning is on when I open the door.
+Terry Newman
So did my 2008 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ. At least it only took the Enclave 8 years to catch up......lol.
+J High Muh push button start! Turning key is so hard!

I concede that after 8 years now it's time for an overhaul. But push button start, as far as I'm concerned, will be the least interesting update.
I just bought a 2017 last week, still test driving, and I love it.

Great blog, My wife and I just purchased an Enclave, we take delivery in four days. I think this vehicle is amazing, can't wait to get it on the Hwy.
Nice detailed review as always Mike ! However, that key fob this car has looks like the same as an 08 Impala or something, GM needs to refresh their stuff lol :)
I agree!
We have a 2017 Buick Enclave Premium (AWD). No issues, and it's been almost 4 years.
I just bought a used buick eclave and im still figuring out the seats😂
I have been waiting and following the Buick Envision for soooooooooo long. . Was glad to get the June up-date. Was disappointed that you have not released the color of interior and body. I understand it will not be on the floor until the last half of 2016.
Fantastic teaching video. Just picked up our new Enclave this past weekend and this video was really helpful ! Great job....thanks !!
+Pam S I'm glad it helped! Thanks for watching Pam!
Please share my videos if you can :)

So what happened with the female friend?
I'm really wanting a Buick Enclave. It's the perfect size for me and my four year old. We're cramped in a fusion now
@ KaysTealRibbon
Single moms.......lol. Better find that rich sugar daddy for your Enclave upgrade.
J High Yes, made a single mom after an assault. Nothing to really LOL about. & in spite of what statistics show, I'm doing very well & can afford an Enclave without putting a dent in my income. Thanks for the comment

I think that was a Lifetime Network Movie.
+J High Ok.

A friend of mine has the 2015 Premium...when she shuts down the car, the drivers seat motors back....on start up the seat does not move and she must adjust it herself (she's short!) still unable to rectify after 2 months! Any suggestions would help!

I just bought one but I can’t figure out how to use the park assist it’s on lol
How do I turn on my rear window defroster on my 2008enclave
Do all of the premium trims come with DVD players
I wish it had a push button start and a better or more advanced looking gauges. Also, does this have adaptive cruise control?
Olenska The 2017 GMC Acadia has those features it's all new for 2017. Maybe next year the Enclave will have them.
The Acadia is basically a Enclave but with a different badging btw. Same for the Chevy Traverse.
Thank you.
This car is really good for my family of 5
Mike it would be smart if u start with the driver's side door first instead of doing the passengers door first
+Elijah Phillips Goodman Why?

sounds like you bought a lemon..because I have ab brand new 2015 and don't have none of those problems at all..
Why in celsius?
beefeater777 22:16 Just for fun.
One question : in U.S.A , this is one car of those who have '' good money '' ? And what would be ? ....
+Teuss Duartee Hes this is a fairly expensive vehicle and the people who buy them earn good money.
Dude it's dirt cheap compared to an Escalade
One Day!
This is basically the same as my 2011 enclave

Why do you want cloth?????
Nothing more than a Chevy Traverse.
