Nice work, got to love those XJs. Do you know what trail this was, looks fun, just over the hill in Alamogordo. I have a 96 similar build but mine is an automatic.

Good ole ax15 reverse grind. If your able try to go 1st then reverse to smoothen that up. I enjoy wheeling in my manual. Nicely done.

I prefer auto to wheel but after riding with him and driving my other friends 5 speed I may want to switch

@@RashadsGarage they have their uses. Can be tough on long hill climbs when you need to switch gears. Gotta get good at not losing position when you push that clutch. One area where it can be a life saver is when you need to rock back n forth out of something and keep the momentum. Manuals are just fun and more involved.

Kinda left us hangin' at the end of the video? :/
Did that vehicle eventually make it up that crazy obstacle - or was that basically the end of the journey?

Mybad it was a lot of clips to edit. He made it up there before but this time was a no go.

@@RashadsGarage - Thanks for the response. As a friendly suggestion - Maybe you'll consider 'talking / narrating' during the video? Like: "Here we are at 'x' location, blah, blah". And you know what no one else does - even though I've politely asked several times - on several different TH-cam channels? No one will bother to include GPS coordinates, so viewers like me can say to themselves: "Wow! - I wanna bring *my* ride out to that *exact spot* and attempt that - or simply enjoy the scenery". ~ Anywho - Just sayin'. Thanks again, for the continued content. 👊

Thanks for there feedback. That day was pretty hectic I wasn’t planning on jumpin in and out so much so my recordings are all over the place. You are not the first to suggest to me to talk in my videos but I appreciate the feedback so I’ll try to do that.
As far as the trail goes it’s off i25, exit 51, headed east.

@@RashadsGarage That's between Hatch and Caballo dam. I'm from El Paso, have been to various NM Chille challenges. Been out there once since they moved them to Caballo lake. That was really some great wheeling. Don't know if I'd go out there by myself. I've got a 2000 Jeep TJ Sahara. 4.5 long arm left, running 488 gears with front and rear lockers. Maybe we'll meet up someday. Really enjoyed your video and the drivers abilities. Take care.

Is it a PIA to crawl with a 5 speed?

Naw I prefer it. You get more control. I swapped my ZJ to manual.

@@RashadsGarage Early bronco was narrow track. Those looked pretty wide. Is it a 28 spline 9"?

I’m not sure on his axles I just know they are 44 and 9 inch
