@@cmcmusic888 Music and all art can transcend the barriers of race and culture. It puts aside the brain that's trying to figure things out and just allows one to be immersed in the experience. And in doing so, a person learns more than they ever could. I love music and I enjoy almost everything, whether classical or metal; Missa Luba, the Doll Aria or Shima-Uta music. But I do admit that Japanese culture is of great fascination to me. I had noticed the soundtrack for sometime as it had evoked similar feelings when I had watched an anime called "Mushishi". But this scene made the music so visceral...that Kokyu or Erhu...amazing. Thank you Mr Chen for making this beautiful music and for collaborating with Mr Kore-eda. I have watched hundreds of movies, but this one would be one of the best for me. Domo Arigato!

This wonderful score is one of the reasons why this movie is a masterpiece. Watched it for the first time this afternoon.
