Opening Ceremony - Notting Hill Carnival 2023

I was delighted to join fellow Councillors, members of the Carnival Team, organisers and others for the Opening Ceremony of Notting Hill Carnival 2023.
This wonderful celebration is an annual celebration for all our community - we are stronger thanks to our diversity and the vibrancy around us. Notting Hill Carnival proudly celebrates Caribbean culture, and I thank the community for its immeasurable contribution to British society.
It is testament to the organisers that this event is the second biggest Carnival in the world, and the largest such gathering in Europe.
