Omg this video came right on time... I am 4 months in and my scalp/hair is really dry and I wasn't sure what all I could use because I want to avoid buildup... Thank you !!!!!!

I spray rose water as needed and run oil through my locs with my fingers then I sit under a steam conditioning cap for about 30 minutes. This is my routine every 2-3 days; on wash day, I apply a light baking soda rinse to my hair before shampooing to get my cuticles to open, then follow with steaming right after. The air is super dry in western Canada so it's a challenge to keep my hair moisturized as well. Thanks for putting out the information!

So far I’ve only used rosewater mixed with pure vitamin e oil. I get 100% distilled rosewater for $8 at TJMaxx or Marshall’s.

Omg you are so gorgeous!!! I definitely use rose water. I added some drops of peppermint oil in another bottle so I have one plain and another with peppermint. And I deal with jojoba oil. My locs are brand new but my hair has never been this moisturized even when it was loose.

You and your babies are gorgeous! I love the Carols Daughter Black Vanilla spray, it worked for my hair both loose and locked. The spray use the most is The Mane Choice Prickly Pear Minty Scalp Purifying Spray. It feels good on the scalp, especially in the summer. It has less buildup and smells awesome!

Wow!! The twins have grown so much since you last showed them. You daughter looks like you with her cute self.
I'm using the rose water at the moment to hydrate. As for the leave in conditioner I'm trying but not every day the Cantu Shea butter hydrating leave -in conditioning mist. The one thing I don't like about it is that it leaves a sticky residue on you hands.
Thanks for sharing the products. I will definitely try them out..

I'm almost 3 years in. I've used the Rosewater and Mane Choice and anytime I add a liquid between re-twist, my hair curls up at the roots and look like I need to get it done soon afterwards.

Hello beautiful loc QUEENS! I use distilled water with an oil that promotes thick hair growth to hydrate my hair. I also use rose water and a lite moisturizier cream. I am also starting to use grease made of natural ingredients to use on my roots then disturb it throughout my locs for extra moisture retention! I also try to select products that are rich in wheat, protein, and hydrolyzed protein because of a hair test I did a year ago. My hair loves these ingredients, because my hair doesn't keep moisture in for too long.
