    Always hang your doors first before you fit architraves and door stops, if you need to pack out the frame with shims you cannot access with the architrave on..doing everything arse backwards..

      Motivation is the hardest part.
      Carpentry is hard work but it looks simple and easy.
      People think you can turn up with a measuring tape and a handsaw and hang a door in 5 minutes on your way home from work for a tenner

    That must be a pain to have to load and unload your tools in the van everyday! I have a tool trailer full but where I live I can park it anywhere without having to worry about them. Heck, I have left tool boxes in the back of my pickup truck overnight!

    Do you have any advice for getting a skilled CSCS card to do carpentry on a site? I studied in Norway and the qualifications arent recognised by the CSCS governing body. Been carpenter nearly 10 years and moved back to UK before covid thinking i could just jump onto a site here, appears not the case aha.

    That van is tidy ? How much do you spend on food at Greg’s . ? Are you on price or day work ? What do you charge for a day ? Where did you carry out your indentured course ? How long was it ? Have you ever done commercial work ? Get the plumber to move the pipes ? Two wrongs dont make a right ? Slamming strips ? Where in the world do they call these by that name please? .

    • @paulkelly8499
      @paulkelly8499 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Get the plumber to move the pipes, good one. Rather than kicking up a fuss and going to management etc he used common sense planed a little off the back of the skirts, still looks aesthetically pleasing, granted you would be reluctant to do it in a lounge etc, you've got to use a little discretion with these things

    • @gavincollins9376
      @gavincollins9376 ปีที่แล้ว

      So a plumber will come back to move the pipes for a piece of skirting. Get real, by the time that was sorted would have been quicker just to get over it as the lad did...

I use a an Akibus custom belt all leather and set up how I want it! Last belt I will wear its expense! Don’t cheap on shoes ? I wear White’s Perry Moc Toe!
    You ever drop a sheet of 3/4” hardwood oak ply on your foot? When you do and you will tennis will make sure you break 3/4 toes? Try working with a broken toe?
    Eat good! Not like a 15 yr old! So you hv energy all day! I drink AG-1 everyday so I don’t get sick! Stretch and keep a pair of 25 pound DB at your place do arms and shoulders 3/4 times a week!
    You’re burning yourself out! Don’t eat crap in a bag or box ! Make your food!
